Cats are what I know best, and most of what I've learned comes down to one thing: not rushing them. What I do differently is give every boarding guest their own private room to start. New places are genuinely stressful for cats, so your cat arrives to a quiet space with food, water, litter, hiding spots, and no pressure to interact with anyone. I visit in short, calm sessions so they get used to me on their own terms. Most cats relax within 3–7 days, but I go at each cat's pace rather than a schedule. About: I have taken care of dogs from all age groups. Whether a senior dog who needs frequent bathroom breaks or a puppy who wants lots of attention and reinforcement, I love all of them. About: My pet-sitting experiences include looking after both cats and dogs day to day and for extended periods of time. When taking care of cats, I make sure they have clean water and food at all times; keep their environment clean; watch over them and see if they are healthy; and interact with them by playing with them on a daily basis. About: I have been taking care of animals ever since I was little, between dogs, cats, reptiles, and even farm animals such as dairy cows, pigs, goats, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs. With the occasional instances of going out a few hours at a time. We do keep our dogs crated while we are gone and have cameras on the kennel/dog room to keep an eye on them. Today I share my home with my 13 year old cat, Meeko, and my housemate’s friendly 12 year old dog. I recently said goodbye to my senior cat after 16 wonderful years together. I also offer limited weekend boarding for one dog at a time so I can provide each guest with plenty of individual attention and care. My goal is to be flexible while making sure every pet receives the time and attention they deserve. I know pets thrive on routine, so I’ll follow your instructions closely—from feeding schedules and walks to medications, favorite toys, and bedtime routines.
