Austin does a great job of meeting the high energy needs of my pup, including taking him on a good distance walk and even upping the pace to a jog at times. It gives me great peace of mind to know he’s tuned in to the needs of my dog.

Pam is amazing with my dog Mila! She is quick to respond and flexible, which I really appreciate as my schedule varies week to week. Mila runs to the door every time she gets here. I can’t say enough positive things about our experience working with her.

Jordan is an amazing dog walker! My dog loves him. He is reliable and really considerate of the dog’s walking experience. He gets to know the dog and what the dog needs. Every time my dog returned she was calm, happy and had a big goofy grin on her face. We had difficult weather during the week he walked her and he was great about communicating with me to work around the weather and make sure she had a great walk. I highly recommend him!

About: Hi! I’ve always had a huge love for animals and honestly can’t imagine life without them. I worked at PetSmart for 3 years as a Pet Care Associate, where I cared for all kinds of animals — from dogs and bunnies to lizards and other small pets. That experience taught me so much about animal behavior, patience, and making pets feel comfortable and cared for. I also know the doggy Heimlich maneuver, so your pet’s safety is always something I take seriously. I grew up surrounded by pets and now have two of my own as an adult, so I completely understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your furry family members. Whether your pet loves playtime, cuddles, walks, or just a calm comforting presence, I’ll always treat them like one of my own ❤️ Pet care fits naturally into my lifestyle because animals are truly what I love spending my time around 🐾 I work 8–4 in Wisconsin Dells, and outside of work, caring for animals is honestly my favorite way to spend my free time. Whether it’s walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply keeping pets company, it never feels like a chore to me — it’s something I genuinely enjoy ❤️ I’ve always grown up with pets and currently have two of my own, so caring for animals has always been part of my daily life. I love creating a calm, loving environment where pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away 🐶🐱 When caring for pets—whether in my home or a client’s home—I focus on keeping them comfortable, safe, and sticking closely to their normal routine 🐾 In my own home, I care for my two pets daily by making sure they’re fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of attention, playtime, walks when needed, and a calm, clean environment. I really treat them like part of my family, and their well-being is a big part of my everyday life. When caring for a client’s pets, I bring that same level of care and consistency. I follow instructions closely, maintain feeding and potty routines, give lots of love and attention based on each pet’s personality, and always prioritize safety. I also pay attention to behavior and comfort so pets feel as relaxed as possible while their owners are away. With my experience working at PetSmart and years of caring for animals in both personal and professional settings, I’m comfortable with pets of all kinds and always aim to make them feel secure, loved, and at home!

About: I’ve cared for my dog for 10+ years, have experience dog sitting and overnight stays, and love staying active by giving dogs plenty of walks, exercise, and attention. I care for pets by following their normal routine to help them feel comfortable and safe. In clients’ homes, I provide feeding, walks, playtime, overnight care, and lots of attention while keeping the home clean and respectful. About: I’ve had cats and dogs my entire life, from very young to end of life care. Taking care of animals and bonding with them is such a special thing, and I would love to help aid dogs lives through proper exercise! Going into college in the fall and will have a part time job soon; I have plenty of free time to work around with and will be very flexible with my schedule. I currently have one cat (around 3) and one dog (around 10) who I love very much. My dog is getting a little too old to go on longer walks with me so I think this will be a great opportunity to help younger dogs get that exercise in. I’m very easy to talk to and flexible and would be happy to make sure your animal has water after the walk/ a treat and will provide doggy bags for bathroom needs.

About: I have experience working at Paw Pals taking care of cats and dogs. I have also raised and cared for hamsters, horses, birds and bunnys. I'm currently working part-time to only care for animals so I have plenty of time for your animals! Let me know when you need me and I will be there! They will get the time they need. ❤️ Your pet will have the whole downstairs to themselves and lots of play space. I have two friendly cats that are willing to be friends with your pets but they will be upstairs. There are multiple grassy areas to run around in around my condo and trails to walk your pet that will allow them to play in. Treats treats treats❣️

About: Hi! I'm Jen and I'm a self-professed animal lover! Cats and dogs are a big part of my life. My family always used in-home pet sitting for our dogs, a couple of whom were traumatized and required a little more comfort than most. I understand how it can be hard to leave a dog in a kennel or an unfamiliar home. That's where I come in! Let me pamper your fur baby and put your mind at ease. I am an elementary school teacher on summer break, so I have pretty wide-open availability for the season. I craft heavily when I'm not working, but that can always be paused to attend to pets :) I believe in respect for animals first and foremost! Reading their body language and listening to their cues is crucial. I also believe in trusting owners’ advice about their pets since you know your fur baby best!

FAQs for Dog Walking - Riley

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 1,456 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Riley. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Riley. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Riley.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Riley. On Rover:

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
