“Iomar took excellent care of our cat and guinea pigs! We received lots of adorable photos while we were away, and it was clear they were well taken care of. We would book again!”

“Madeleine was the best!! Booked last minute after boarding cancelled on me day before leaving on a trip. She was amazing!! From communication to timelines on check-ins, 10/10!! ❤️”

“Melanie is such a caring caretaker for my cat and such a reliable professional. Every day, she sent me updates and pictures. She always goes above and beyond. My furry baby is always happy with her!”

“Can't recommend Jordan highly enough. She clearly loves animals, and she did a great job of taking care of The Bandit and keeping us updated. She also came by beforehand to meet him and to make sure she understood our instructions, and was generally very accommodating despite our first booking being on relatively short notice. Will definitely be booking again :)”

“Cher was a lifesaver in taking care of our cat, Princess over the holidays. She was quick to respond, accommodating, honest and kind. As stressful as it is for pet owners to leave their fur babies at home while on vacation, it is even more stressful on our pets. Cher's daily visit helped diminish that stress on our cat and us! We happily could tell that Princess was well taken care of when we returned home and would not hesitate to have Cher take care of our little lady again. Thank you, Cher!”
“Natianna is awesome!! She is so sweet, ready to administer meds as needed, and did a wonderful job with our highly stubborn English Bulldog. She’s also a vet tech which is such a huge bonus and piece of mind!! We highly recommend her ☺️”

“Caroline came in clutch last minute and took great care of my baby. She made sure he was settled in before she left and came at the perfect time for his night-time potty break.”

“Jordyn is a wonderful house and pet sitter. We have used her many times and plan to in the future. She watch our senior cat while away for the holidays and checked in everyday giving us piece of mind while away and our cat is very shy but loves her. Highly recommend!!!!!”

“Lisa was absolutely amazing! She took such good care of my cat!! She sent so many photos which was amazing!! From the moment I hired her, I knew my kitty was going to be in great hands! 10/10 recommended Lisa for any of your pet sitting needs! You won’t regret it!”

“Lillyana did a great job of feeding, changing the litter, and playing with our two cats while we were out of town for Thanksgiving. We will definitely trust her to watch them again in the future!”

About: I have had dogs, cats, and livestock my entire life. When I moved out at 18, I started adopting and fostering dogs. I have had up to 8 dogs at one point. My house is much quieter now. I have experience with puppies and seniors. I can give medications. I am never gone more than 3-4 hours at a time. My pets are very loved and I look forward to extending that love to others. I know just how hard it can be to find a trustworthy person to take care of your pets. I send daily updates and photos. I work 5 minutes from my house. I am home at lunch daily and home all day on the weekends. I walk twice a day and the pups get plenty of exercise. I have a fenced yard with a 6ft privacy fence. Dogs will get plenty of yard time. I have two sweet pups that love other dogs.
“Yoleyka was fabulous to work with, very quick to respond to texts. Our pups can sometimes be a little hesitant when first meeting new people, but they really liked her from the first moment. We will be booking with her again. 😁”

About: Although my profile is new to Rover, I am well versed in the experience for years. My mother has been a Rover sitter since I was a child and I have much experience with her going to help at clients houses. I have experience with dogs of all ages from birth to end of life, as well as cats. I am an avid animal lover and owner of exotic pets as well. I grew up on a homestead and have experience with many types of pets including livestock! Dogs, cats, fish, reptiles, rodents, birds, insects and invertebrates, I have experience with them all. I grew up with 10 dogs! My schedule is very open. I am currently post bachelors taking a break from school, as well as pursuing my degrees in Art and Anthropology. I have flexibility in my schedule to meet your needs, and I love to have detailed communication to make sure that we are always on the same page. As a sitter I am prepared to follow your pet's schedule and specific needs to keep them as comfortable and happy as possible while you are away. I would want to meet you and your pets beforehand to make sure I have a clear grasp on their schedule and needs and follow them precisely. I am very detailed when it comes to directions for my own pets so I am prepared to give your babies the same care I want for mine. I have so much in depth experience with dogs growing up on a homestead, and many of those experiences involved emergencies. I know what signs to look for to make sure your dog is safe and healthy, and will always err on the side of complete caution. I have a strong respect for safety and health and want your dog to not only be taken care of but observed in depth to make sure they are getting everything they need from me. I hope to leave every client better connected with their dogs.
“Katherine did an excellent job taking care of my dog. She came yesterday, spent quality time with him, and put a lot of effort into making sure he was fed properly. She was patient, caring, and attentive to his needs. I really appreciate the time and dedication she showed, and I felt comfortable knowing my dog was in good hands. I would highly recommend Katherine to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate pet sitter.”

Samantha was amazing and took great care of my cat while I was away. She was very attentive to water and litter changes and sent multiple photos of her each day. Samantha made sure to give my cat space when she was feeling shy and I was very grateful to have her.

We’ve had Jessica watch our 2 cats twice now and she’s absolutely wonderful! She gives one of our cats a pill every night, makes sure they have food, water, and lots a cuddles and pets for the time she is there. We love having her watch our cats and would highly recommend. She even helped me out when a package was delivered in our mailbox and pick it up for me! We will definitely be hiring her for future watches. 😊

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Perkins. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
