“Iomar was fantastic ! We are so grateful she was able to come play with our pups and kitty, the pictures were great and a lot of fun. They looked so thoroughly happy and joyful to have Iomar visit, it’s obvious they adore her. Definitely we will book again <3”

“Madeleine was the best!! Booked last minute after boarding cancelled on me day before leaving on a trip. She was amazing!! From communication to timelines on check-ins, 10/10!! ❤️”

“Hannah did a wonderful job with my two large dogs. They loved Hannah and we loved her communication with us. We knew when Hannah was at our home and received pictures and an update from each visit. About: I’ve grown up with pets all my life. I’ve taken care of friends and neighbors pets for many years! All types of animals as well. I have taken care of high energy dogs like Huskies, and Belgian Malinois. I also have grown up with dogs that can be aggressive and dogs with anxiety. I can administer medication, take them for long walks and play with them thoroughly. I’m working full time but a flexible schedule. I’m usually working mid day with an hour break. And I can adjust my schedule with notice in advance to work around your pets needs. I will gladly play with your pets in a backyard, take them for long walks, play with them inside etc. My pets are like my kids and I will treat yours as such!
About: I have been taking care of dogs for my neighbors since I was 12 years old, where I was relied on to feed, walk, and play with many breeds of dogs. Since then, I have also fostered dogs and cats through my local shelter, and have been a designated dog walker for the past 6 months. I have experience fostering puppies as well! I am currently a law student and am hoping to walk/dog sit when I am not in class. I can easily hang out or with your dogs in the afternoons and/or weekends! I am very experienced with dog sitting and have spent weeks at a time dog sitting for others overnight. I am happy to take your dogs on multiple walks a day, play with them, and feed them. I will also follow every instruction you give extremely carefully!
“Savannah did such an amazing job taking care of our sweet Rocco! He is a big boy with some medical issues and she catered to him and made sure he got his meds! Would definitely use her again and recommend others to her!”

“Natianna is awesome!! She is so sweet, ready to administer meds as needed, and did a wonderful job with our highly stubborn English Bulldog. She’s also a vet tech which is such a huge bonus and piece of mind!! We highly recommend her ☺️”

“Caroline came in clutch last minute and took great care of my baby. She made sure he was settled in before she left and came at the perfect time for his night-time potty break.”

I am home at lunch daily and home all day on the weekends. I walk twice a day and the pups get plenty of exercise. I have a fenced yard with a 6ft privacy fence. Dogs will get plenty of yard time. I have one sweet pup that loves other dogs.

“We’ve had Jessica watch our 2 cats twice now and she’s absolutely wonderful! She gives one of our cats a pill every night, makes sure they have food, water, and lots a cuddles and pets for the time she is there. We love having her watch our cats and would highly recommend. She even helped me out when a package was delivered in our mailbox and pick it up for me! We will definitely be hiring her for future watches. 😊”

“Taylor was excellent with Maggie. She also handled a key issue (totally my fault) calmly when I was definitely not calm since we were literally taking off on a 5.5 hour flight. 100% would recommend and will have Taylor take care of Maggie again!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Perkins
Addison has been great with both our cat and our large dog on two separate week long trips. She gave us consistent updates and photos and happily addressed any concerns that came up along the way. We came home to happy animals on both occasions. We feel fortunate to have found her and plan to reach out to her again for any future pet care. Highly recommend!

Samantha was amazing and took great care of my cat while I was away. She was very attentive to water and litter changes and sent multiple photos of her each day. Samantha made sure to give my cat space when she was feeling shy and I was very grateful to have her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Perkins. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
