About: Hi! My name is Annalise, and I have been pet sitting since high school, for about six years now. Ever since then, it feels like I’ve found my passion. I’m an international affairs major at JMU, and a proud cat mom (the tabby)! Adopting my baby boy Alex soon (the first dog), who I’m training from the ground up. He’s a nervous boy but worth it! I’m willing to put in the work, and I can’t think of a better reward than the love of an animal. If you give me the honor to look after your babies, I promise I’ll care for them fiercely. I have a part time job and am a full time student, but I am more than willing to work around your pets schedule. Your pet’s care is my priority, and I wouldn’t accept a job if I didn’t believe I could give them 110% of my attention and affection. I would take your pets on walks, cuddle them, and overall ensure they’re being cared for to the best of my ability. I would also get to know them well so I could easily assess if any behaviors are out of the ordinary.

About: I have had dogs and cats my whole life. I am comfortable and confident in providing love, care, and support to all animals when needed. I am currently in graduate school working on my Masters degree in counseling. I am flexible and available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Thursdays after 1pm, and some weekends! I can provide drop in home visits for dogs and cats. I can also do walks around the neighborhood or local parks. And bring a snack if they have a favorite treat with approval by owner! :)

About: I have always had a deep love for animals, especially dogs and cats, and caring for them brings me genuine joy. Over the years, I have gained experience looking after pets of different ages, sizes, and personalities, including feeding, walking, playing, administering basic care, and providing plenty of affection and attention. I understand that every pet is unique and deserves patience, kindness, and a safe environment where they feel comfortable and loved. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a calm and quiet routine, I am committed to treating them like a member of my own family. My goal is to ensure that both pets and their owners feel happy, comfortable, and confident while they are in my care. I am currently free most of the summer as I am a teacher. I am willing to work with your schedule and what works best for your pet. I will play with them, give them all the space that they need in order to get used to me. I will be patiently waiting for them to come to me and allow me to play with them. Making sure they are happy and safe.

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life. I have been taking care of dogs of my own since I was able to walk and talk. I work hard and play harder with our furry friends! I am a fast learner, and can assist with training pups or taking care of senior dogs. My father is a veterinarian, so I was able to learn from him how to care for your pets. I attend James Madison University, so I will have classes with a varying schedule each weekday. I can stay full time at your home with your pets. I go to the gym, so I may be out for a short time to work out, but once I’m finished I’m right back at home with your pets! I have two dogs of my own. I feed/provide medication to them regularly (might go without saying) and I love to cuddle up with them on the floor and play with their toys with them. I’m very affectionate and will give your pets lots of attention and love.

About: I have taken care of and been around animals since I was a child. I had worked in Dog Daycares, walking dogs, and being a sitter for all kinds of animals. I can be gentle or authoritative with your pet while giving them love and kindness. My life is taking care of animals and loving them. I have plenty of free time to spend with your pets for walks, playtime, and so much more! I am quite strong to be able to hold tightly onto a leash if your animal is leash reactive. I am well versed in dog body language and can handle a hyperactive animal or a calm and cuddly baby.

About: I don't have any training or any experience but I would love to start my journey with being with the pets. Being around dogs makes me happy. I like being around dogs they are very supportive and loving animals. I have time to help anytime and any day of the week.I would really appreciate this opportunity. One of the reasons I want to care for the dogs is because I don't have a dog because my living situation won't allow pets. I used to have dogs growing up in my moms house and I never felt alone with them.

About: Hi I’m Brandy 🙂 I am a mother to 5 amazing children, and we are on the Autism Spectrum 🥹 We all love animals and are exceptional animal caretakers (and little animal caretakers in training ☺️🤭). I have decades of animal care experience, working with cats, dogs, horses, and even giraffes, elephants, and antelopes! We own and operate a rabbitry with a focus on Flemish Giant rabbits and have somewhat of a “suburban homestead”, chickens, ducks, rabbits, gardens😌🤫🤭I have worked at multiple dog kennels, including free run facilities, and have worked at the SPCA and the Virginia zoo in Norfolk, Virginia. I have experience with and own German-trained protection dogs (Dobermans/German shepherds etc); we also have King Charles Cavalier spaniels. I am familiar with and have worked with dozens of breeds and each breed has its own characteristics although each pup is also unique of course, it is helpful to be familiar with and recognize breed characteristics. We are able to keep your pet in a completely separate quiet area of our home😴😌or they are welcome to join the pack🥳🤪depending on your (and your pet’s) preference. I am very careful, and responsible, and also very observant and intuitive to know exactly what your pet needs. I have also been a professional photographer for 25 years and love to take photos of pets in our care🙂💖 Let me know what your needs are, and we will see if I can accommodate your needs, as my schedule is very open and flexible. My pet care is very custom tailored to your needs and your pet’s needs, let me know what you need and what your pet prefers. I have 4 dogs that stay exclusively in the back part of the home and have access to the backyard. Doggies I am sitting stay exclusively in the front part of the home and have access to the front yard, so there is no interaction between my dogs. My dogs are friendly with other dogs but this arrangement just makes it easier and more comfortable for yours = )

About: I have lived with dogs all of my life and have been taking care of my sweet puppy for 3 years! I am happy to do drop-in visits and walks in your neighborhood. I will be home most of the day this summer and can pop in most weekday and weekend mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I am a music teacher, so my summers have plenty of availability weekdays and weekends. Happy to do repeat check-ins and regular walks in your neighborhood! As someone who has a HARD time leaving my pet when I’m traveling, I understand how much you need to know your pet is safe and happy. I can send photos and updates galore!

About: Hi there! I'm Carrie. I have been a pet owner and caretaker for over 15 years! I am experienced in walking, feeding, and otherwise caring for several types of pets. I currently own a cat and a dog, but I can also care for rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, and fish! My main option here is dog walking, but I can also do drop-in visits as needed. I currently work part-time so I have plenty of time to care for your animals and take them for walks. I am available most weekends for drop-in visits, and I will house sit as needed! I will ensure that dogs remain safely leashed during all walks. If the temperature of asphalt is too warm for walks I make sure to stick to grassy areas. I ensure that I know current vet care and contact numbers for emergency situations.

About: I’ve been caring for cats my entire life, and I have great experience with dogs as well! I have been sitting for over 10 households in the Harrisonburg area, and i’ve had nothing but great reviews! My work in a research lab at JMU is flexible, so I can usually stop by wherever you need me! I don’t have a strict schedule! I have 2 amazing cats at home and I make sure to keep them as safe as possible. I do the same when caring for other peoples pets, and treat them as my own!

About: Around my neighborhood, many have asked me to care for their dogs. I also cared for my 2 family dogs growing up. I have cared for many different animals and sizes as well. When it comes to scheduling, I am very flexible and understanding too. I love being the company to a furry friend! While I am working another job, I still have much free time to be able to play and walk your dog when needed. I'm very flexible and can always use a bit of experience myself for the dog and I to both stay strong and healthy! While I may not be able to take care of your dog inside of my house, we do have a park across my street as well as a safe neighborhood where many people walk their dogs and take strolls and runs on. While being over at someone's house I respect their privacy and only use what is needed for the dogs care.

About: I have sat for pets since I was in high school. This was for cats and dogs and included both overnight house sits and dog walks. I’m working partially as a freelance journalist, but that’s a very loose schedule so I should have a lot of time for pet sitting and care. I am free on most weekends and Fridays I care for my dog back home making sure he always gets enough food, exercise, and love. About: I have taken care of animals since I was in elementary school! I have petsitting experience with dogs, cats, bunnies, fish, hamsters, tortoises, lizards, crabs, rats, birds, guinea pigs, and even chickens and turkeys! I am currently in harrisonburg completing grad school! My schedule is pretty free at the moment as I have night classes and they’re all online. My best friend is a 12 year old beagle basset hound mix! I feed and walk her, but my favorite thing to do is spend time with her. Always down for fetch or a good pet session! Your animals will not feel attention-starved when I am there. My camera roll has thousands of pictures of my dog, so you can trust I will FOR SURE send pictures of your pets.

About: I’ve grown up with animals my whole life and have taken care of relatives and friends dogs for years. I’ve helped my parents raise their dog from little to her seniorhood. I am home all throughout the day on weekdays and weekends!! I love animals and would be happy to work around someone’s busy schedule. I can travel to meet you at your need! I’ll work with your preferences and special needs. I can come walk your dog and stop by to make sure they are doing okay if need be. Every dog type, size, and age I can care for and have no problem being around and playing with. I would love to help you out and watch after your loved pets! I live in a very safe and walkable neighborhood with a wonderful walking path. I also live a street away from a clean and safe dog park, that at your discretion would be happy to take your dog to.

About: I grew up around dogs, cats, and horses and have experience with other animals such as bearded dragons, snakes, geckos, sugar gliders, hedgehogs, ferrets, guinea pigs, rabbits, and farm animals. I completed the two-year Veterinary Science course at MTC and interned at a local veterinary office and daycare during high school. I currently have 6 dogs and my neighbors have entrusted me with their pets' care multiple times over the years as well. I have worked with as small as a 5-pound chihuahua to as big as a greyhound and GSD's and am open to caring for many more breeds and sizes. I currently work part-time and also work/volunteer at a barn when needed. The care for your fur babies will always come first and if need be, we would figure out scheduling. I care for your pets' every basic need along with their special needs like medications if needed. I also strive to spend time with them so that they aren't feeling lonely like taking them for walks and having play time and rest time.
