About: Hi! I’m Shannon and I am currently a senior at JMU. I’ve been taking care of dogs most of my life, as I have 3 currently at home, so I have tons of experience from the puppy stages on. I’ve also pet sit for neighbors and friends since middle school, and absolutely love it. I am a huge dog lover, and with my fur-babies being back home, I would love to help out while I’m away at school! I’m currently a full-time college student, so I will have plenty of time throughout the day to stop in between classes to play and have plenty of potty breaks. While I do not have a fenced yard, I have a grass backyard, and live in a very pet friendly area. I can easily be reached for any concerns you may want to discuss!

9. Hailey S.
About: Hi guys! My name is Hailey, a local to the valley, and trying to survive in my 20’s. I took a break from Rover as I was finishing college, started a new dental job, and I’m ready to come back! I have had many dogs since I was 7 years old, ranging from a 7lb dog to 80lbs. I have experience with many dog breeds and ages from owning them or past dog sitting gigs and I currently have 2 dogs in the house! I’m very active and get to the gym about 4-6x a week, so I would love to take your pup on walks, play with them, and give them plenty of love! I am a huge dog lover and would love to spoil your pup. (I will also send you pictures of me and your pup and what we are doing) I am at the dental office most of the time Monday - Fridays but am free once I get off at 4. I am very flexible and am willing to work with and around my schedule to help you out :) My clients home will be in the same shape I walked into it or better! Cleaning is my therapy and I can do chores or any other help that you would like.
10. Carrie D.
About: Hi there! I'm Carrie. I have been a pet owner and caretaker for over 15 years! I am experienced in walking, feeding, and otherwise caring for several types of pets. I currently own a cat and a dog, but I can also care for rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, and fish! My main option here is dog walking, but I can also do drop-in visits as needed. I currently work part-time so I have plenty of time to care for your animals and take them for walks. I am available most weekends for drop-in visits, and I will house sit as needed! I will ensure that dogs remain safely leashed during all walks. If the temperature of asphalt is too warm for walks I make sure to stick to grassy areas. I ensure that I know current vet care and contact numbers for emergency situations.
11. Arianna E.
“On time and took good care of my pup! Will definitely be asking her again to help when I need it.”
12. Danielle S.
About: I have taken care of neighbors pets over the years while they’re out of town. Also, I have a senior dog who has gone through many surgeries and needs various pills every day and special care. I’ve been involved with her from a young age and learned a lot about how to help nervous dogs. I’ve always been an animal lover and thought that getting involved with Rover would be a great way to help families out with caring for their fur-babies! I am a college student home for the summer, so I am free all throughout the week and mostly during the day on the weekends! I am very gentle with animals and love showing them extra affection to make them happy! I am used to being around breakable items and can be very careful to take care of the wellbeing, not just of your dog, but your house and belongings as well.
13. Taylor L.
About: I have grown up around large dogs and animals my entire life. I have been pet sitting for more than nine years now, and I’m comfortable taking care of all breeds and sizes. I believe that every animal should be loved and cared for! I'm also a very active person, so long walks and playtime are no problem. I’m currently working a part time job, but my schedule is flexible. Both morning and evening times are preferred, but I can accommodate as needed. Depending on what the owner and pet needs, I can adjust services accordingly. Every animal is different and my priority is to make sure they are comfortable and cared for. For example, trips out of the house, long walks, mental stimulation for high energy/anxious animals, or just extra love.
