About: I have always had a love and passion for animals since I was a little girl. I started in elementary school by offering to walk my neighbors' dogs just so I could have the opportunity to play with them. Over the years, I have gained even more love and experience in properly caring for all animals as if they were my own. I am a student at JMU who is looking for something part time. I have a lot of free time in the afternoon and most weekends which I would love to spend my time with your wonderful animals! I currently live in an apartment building but is willing to take them in, take them to dog parks, and go on long walks. I am comfortable and flexible on what I would need to do to ensure the happiness and safety for your pets!

About: I have grown up in a pet friendly household and taken care of my neighbors pets frequently. I love being around both cats and dogs! I am on summer break so I have a lot of free time! I have an internship that is very flexible and once a week (ending soon though) but other than that I currently do not have any other things that interfere with my schedule. I like to create an environment for pets where they feel comfortable and relaxed. I love giving them lots of toys and playing with them, but knowing when to give them space or let them nap. I also love taking them on long walks or just giving them lots of pets :)

About: I am an experienced pet sitter and caregiver with both basic and specialty care. I have experience with both household pets and some farm animals doing long-term in-house care, daily visits, walks, medication, post-surgery care, and both puppy/kitten and senior care! I have had pets my entire life (with 4 cats and 2 golden retrievers now) and will truly love your pet as my own! I recently graduated from JMU and will reside in Harrisonburg for the summer, therefore I am quite free and flexible for your pet’s needs! It is easy for me to adjust my schedule. I am extremely detail-oriented and will treat your pet and your home with the utmost care and respect. Having pets of my own, I understand how stressful it can be to be away from your pets! I will work to make sure it is a stress free experience!

About: While my last 10 years of employment have been in the schools and therapy centers, I have been caring for animals since I was about 10 years old. I grew up volunteering at dog training facilities and learning “tricks of the trade”. As a former cat owner and current dog owner, I am a firm believer that pets are a vital family member and deserve all the love and care that humans do (sometimes more). I have currently taken time off from being a full time school administrator to focus on my family. While my children are in school and activities, I am looking to spend time with animals and help others keep their pets well-taken care of while they may be away or working. I treat each pet as if they were my own, and perhaps even better than because I know the peace of mind it brings knowing they are cared for and loved. It is important to me that their emotional and physical needs are met, however best suits them and their owners.

“We couldn’t be happier with the care Rowan provided our little Harley while we were out of town January 7-13. We hope to retain her anytime we’re away and unable to take Harley with us. Thank you Rowan for your excellent service.”

About: My family had two aging beagles I helped care for that eventually passed away. They both required much attention and medication. Any time my family members or friends need someone to watch their dog, they ask me. I have experience working with smaller sized dogs and much bigger dogs. I have also worked at a humane society. I’m currently in grad school but I will still have plenty of time to care for your fur babies and will make sure they are happy and healthy! I will make sure they go to the bathroom regularly, make sure they get plenty of exercise/walks, make sure they are well fed, and make sure they are overall safe and comfortable. It is my job to make sure your fur baby is happy! I am a responsible and compassionate care giver and I treat animals like people.

About: I have 4 cats, 2 dogs, and a growing family of birds with 3 chickens, 2 roosters, and 3 ducks, each with their own personality. I am comfortable with all breeds and have been caring for friends and neighbors pets since childhood. I currently babysit my nephew from home so I have a very flexible schedule to meet your scheduling preferences. I have reliable transportation and can easily communicate with you about your fur babies. I have an anxious dog that loves routine so I know the importance of keeping your pets feeling comfortable by following their routines. I will be conscious of playtime, medicine, and dietary needs and have comfort with crating dog if required. I am excited to get to know your pets!

About: I have cared for pets my whole life giving me extensive experience and specialized skills. I have cared for all ages of pets, from puppy to senior age, and understand their unique needs. Your furry friend will receive personalized attention and love, making their time away from you as enjoyable as possible. I currently work part-time and am a full time online student that ensures lots of flexibility for me! Pet care is a big part of my daily routine! I make sure to set aside time for walks, playtime, feeding, and grooming every day. It's important to me that all the pets I care for feel loved and well taken care of. When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow a detailed routine to ensure their well-being. Depending on a pet owners requests, I typically do the following: 1: Start with a meet and greet to understand the pet's needs, habits, and routines. 2. Stick to the pet's regular feeding schedule and dietary requirements. 3. Provide regular walks and playtime to keep them active and happy. 4. Ensure they are groomed as per their needs, including brushing and any special care. 5. If needed, I administer any medications as per the owner's instructions. 6. I make sure they have a comfortable and safe environment, including their favorite toys and bedding. 7. I provide regular updates and photos to the owner for peace of mind.

About: I love animals and have volunteered at Middleburg Humane Shelter and fostered for them for the past 5 years. My favorite types of dogs are larger working dogs, but the smaller pups require a more delicate skill set that I'm thrilled to provide. I have experience with dog training and am able to be as strict or lax with your pets as you'd prefer. I'm around the Bethesda/Tysons Corner area and would be so happy to help you out with your travels! I work nights from around 6pm to 11pm, and would be unable to let your pets out during that time, but other than that am available. I have two cats and take care of my sister's German Shepherd mix and several horses. My sister and I do some agility work with the pup, and I love to take my cats on day trips with me- they both walk on a leash! I'm happy to send you all the pictures in the world of your animals while I'm with them, report to you the exact mileage of walks, and love to snuggle in bed with them if I'm house-sitting. I don't mind if you have cameras in your house to watch your pets; I just appreciate if they're in areas such as the living room or where your dog is most frequently.

Ashleigh B.
“We LOVE Ashleigh! Deuce can’t hold himself still when he sees Ashleigh come over. She’s reliable, responsible and goes above and beyond to ensure my Deuce is not just taken care of but loved on too. She treats each dog as if it were her own. After spending all her life growing up with a dog and a cat here and there, she has become a very special and kind person who cares deeply about the care of animals of all kinds. Trustworthy should be her middle name. You can always count on her to go beyond what is expected. Highly recommend.”

Rowan K.

“We couldn’t be happier with the care Rowan provided our little Harley while we were out of town January 7-13. We hope to retain her anytime we’re away and unable to take Harley with us. Thank you Rowan for your excellent service.”

Cameron B.
“Cameron stayed in our home and cared for our 18 month old English Mastiff for 10 days. Our pup was in heat. She took great care of her, playing with her and dealing with all of the fun that comes with a 140 pound dog that is in heat. While our dog frequently gets anxious in new situations, Cameron gave her extra belly rubs and spent a lot of time with her around her schedule. Our pup was completely chill when we got home! Cameron left our house cleaner than when she got there! Highly recommend!”

Brittany M.
“Brittany is the most responsible, loving and fun person you can have caring for your pets. Her kind, spirited nature is welcoming and makes every animal feel safe and comfortable. She prioritizes caring for your furry friends while love and playfulness come naturally from her. My babies get excited to see her and I know I don’t have to worry when she’s around. The peace of mind I have knowing my fur babies are in good hands, is priceless. I couldn’t ask for a better caregiver for my animals/extended family and I couldn’t recommend a better one for yours.”

Alyssa R.
“Alyssa is one of the most caring human beings out there. Her love for animals is beautiful and if you ever have the opportunity to let her watch your animals you will be more than grateful. She takes care of animals with such gratitude and grace and will always make the animals her number one priority.”

Jaicey G.
“You will not find a better caregiver than Jaicey for your pet. She will always assure that your pet is well taken care of and loved. She watched our dog for a week while we were away, and she did an excellent job! We could tell that our doggo loved having her around. Jaicey is an animal person through and through, and we will continue to choose her to watch our pets over and over.”

Kate N.

“I always go to Kate for my dog Rambo! She always makes sure to send me plenty of pictures and/or videos of him of him playing or on a walk. My dog (non-aggressive) needs eye drops every day twice a day and she does a great job with giving him those as well! Would definitely recommend:)”

Amber C.
“Amber has watched my dog several times and has always done an excellent job. She cares for animals as if they’re her own and is very communicative throughout the stay.”
