I’m a full time student at JMU so I am pretty flexible when I can come in and out and take care of your pets! I make sure my animals at home are safely left inside when I leave and always make sure they are fed well and have the things they need for when I’m gone!

About: I have cared for friends and family’s dogs for 20 years. I have cared for dogs after surgeries, administered medications and have bottle fed puppies. I work from home for my husband’s trash business and have flexible hours so I can be available throughout the day to check in on your pet. We have 2 female indoor cats and a 3 year old male bloodhound who thinks he is one of the kids. He is crate trained.

About: I’ve dog, cat, and farm sat for years! I’m great with all sorts of animals and love getting to know new animals and their needs. I can give all sorts of medicines and am prepared to work with all sorts of circumstances! I am a student but have a very flexible work schedule and can fit most hours of care into my schedule. If you need overnight stays I can do that too! As long as the accommodations work for you and your pet, I am willing to work with the environment of your pets home. I cannot do boarding.

About: As a true animal lover who misses her pets while away at school, I’m excited to offer hands-on care for a wide range of animal companions. I’ve raised cats, dogs, rabbits, and chickens, and I also work closely with the animal lab at the Science Museum of Virginia in my hometown of Richmond. About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and currently have a cat of my own, so caring for animals has always been a big part of my daily routine. I also spent time as a volunteer with the RHSPCA, where I helped care for cats and assisted with kennel cleaning, so I’m very comfortable with pets in a shelter setting as well as in the home. Working with animals in different environments has taught me how to read their body language, be patient with nervous pets, and provide lots of love while still keeping things clean and safe. I’ve had experience with pets of all personalities, from shy cats to energetic pups, and everything in between, so I always approach each animal at their comfort level. Whether it’s keeping things tidy, sticking to routines, or just giving extra attention and playtime, I always do my best to make pets feel happy and secure while their people are away. Since I’m in college and work part-time during the day, my best availability is weekend overnights and weekday evenings—perfect for dinner-time walks, cuddles, and bedtime routines! When I care for pets in a client’s home, I treat their space and routine with the same respect I would want for my own. I know pets feel safest in their familiar environment, so I stick closely to their usual schedule. This includes meals, walks, potty breaks, cuddles, and even their favorite spot to nap! About: My family had two aging beagles I helped care for that eventually passed away. They both required much attention and medication. Any time my family members or friends need someone to watch their dog, they ask me. I have experience working with smaller sized dogs and much bigger dogs. I have also worked at a humane society. I’m currently in grad school but I will still have plenty of time to care for your fur babies and will make sure they are happy and healthy! I have one dog of my own, Theo, who is extremely friendly and playful with other dogs. If your pet needs social time that you can’t always provide, Theo and I are happy to help! If your dog doesn’t do well with other dogs, I’m also happy to come to you instead or keep them separated as needed. I have been around dogs my entire life and used to foster dogs for local shelters as well. I have experience with training and teaching dogs basic tricks and manners. I am accepting of all breeds and sizes, and just ask that your pet is dog-friendly, kid-friendly and potty trained if they are to come over and hangout with us! It will be my goal to make sure your dog leaves happier than when they came. I look forward to meeting your sweet fur babies! PLEASE make sure your pet is UP TO DATE on grooming (especially nails!), vaccinations, and flea and tick medicine. We get up at 7every morning (after a few snuggles) for breakfast, then we go for a long walk. If we have pent up energy, we will take an extra trip to the dog park for some free running! Most of the day is quiet and includes lots of snuggles and naps. We have dinner around 8pm, after our evening walk. Currently, since I have an 2 year old son and 4 month old daughter, and I’ve chosen to stay home with them. This allows me to have a much more open schedule for pets. My fiancé and I also share the responsibility of pet sitting, so please inquire about specific dates as we may be able to have someone available at all times according to our schedule for those dates. Crates are required for boarding! I realize each pet is different, so I ask the owner help me personalize care for their unique pet! Normally I like to shower pets with love and play, for dogs that are reactive, have resource guarding, anxiety, or special needs, I modify my approach according to the owner’s preference. About: My first dog was with me for 14 years and I now have an 11 year old. Raised like family and to be trail dogs. I walk twice a day and provide plenty of affection. I work from home. There is a morning walk and then an afternoon walk with potty breaks during the day. I can travel within the Massanutten and Elkton areas. I can keep them on the current feeding schedule and provide bathroom breaks as needed. Crates are acceptable and specific instructions followed. I have a friendly Fruggle who gets along with everyone. We do prefer dog friendly dogs.

About: I was born and raised on a farm, been around animals all my life. I have taken care of cats, dogs, birds, lizards, frogs, fish, horses, cows, goats, alpaca, chickens, turkeys, ducks and peacocks. I work early mornings till 2:30 pm so I am available for afternoons and evenings my days off very each week. If you locations is in Harrisonburg I can stop by on my break. I keep dogs on leash while outside at all times. I do have a full flight of steps at entrance but can carry medium to small animals up the steps.

About: We (Annalise Seal and Raina Davis) offer double the care for the price of one. One of us is more experienced with cats, and has four of her own, and the other has more experience with dogs, with one of her own. We’re familiar with cleaning up after pets, and we have previously administrated medicine by mouth to both dogs and cats. We are both capable of walking multiple dogs at a time. Concerning our experience with special need animals, we’ve had several jobs with dogs in need of daily medications and other pets in need of special attention. We aren’t afraid to deal with any accidents that may occur, and aren’t afraid to get messy if needed! Overall, we’re responsible pet caregivers confident in taking care of both our animals, and others. We both have part time jobs, but have flexible schedules and are available to work overnight.
