“Josh is great with my dogs. I think they love him more than me! They become so excited when he shows up to walk or house sit them. I have a very large dog (110 lbs) and a small dog (10 lbs). Josh is strong enough to manage the large dog and very sweet and gentle with my smaller dog. Josh is great at reinforcing good behavior and able to be firm at the same time when my smaller dog is jumping all over the place & not listening. Josh is a pet owner and has completed a lot of dog training which shows up in how he handles my dogs. Josh is always on time and very reliable. I utilize his services often when traveling and during busy times at work. You can depend on him to take very good care of your pet.”

About: I've been blessed to have two dogs in my life in the past. My first one was an older corgi that I also provided daily insulin shots for. My second was another corgi that I raised from a puppy into adulthood. From this, I learned a lot on how to read a dog's body language and understand when a dog is or is not comfortable with the situation or their surroundings. I tend to be a lot more patient with dogs than I am with people, and that let's me work pretty well with dogs that are stubborn like my last two daughters. I've dog sat for friends and family more times than I can count, and I'm excited to experience Rover with your pets as if they were my own. I recently moved into the area, and now I find myself with a lot of time and a lot of love to share. My schedule consists of a workout in the morning (before 8 am) and then working/relaxing the rest of the day. I typically don't go out besides for meals and spend most of my time at home. Because I work from home, I typically spend my own time either in meetings at work and engage with your pet in the off moments. I'd like to take the dogs on more frequent walks if that's something you're looking for. In regards to your home, I would want to first understand what specific things I should be aware of and what's important to you including privacy. For your pet, I'd like to meet them beforehand outside before coming in. I am also experienced with taking care of freshwater fish.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 13 from the puppy stages all the way to when they’re slow and gray. My first dog was a senior that I took care of till the very end and eventually came 2 of my other puppies who were given to use by family friends. These 2 grew up and had one litter of puppies that we raised and gave away to new families (we kept the goofiest one). Several friends and families have entrusted me to look after their dogs and cats and I’m always happy to do so! Outside of my 9-5, I will gladly take my time to take care of your pets before and/or after those work hours. I’m completely free to help out weekends and would be happy to help out :) I’ve been around and taken care of dogs, cats, frogs, fish, and hamsters since I was a kid. I’ve always loved animals. When watching other people’s pets, I make sure to follow any specific requests and directions that were given to me but also try to make sure the pets get comfortable with me so they’re not uncomfortable in their own space. I think a key factor is trying to get read on the animal’s behavior so I can act accordingly.

I routinely take morning walks, so I would bring your pet along and be home throughout the day for snuggles! I am home all day working from my computer, and will bring your pets out every few hours and play with them throughout the day. I work from home and am there with them all day. I am very active so I do take a lot of walks with your dogs and can also bring them to the park if you’d like! I have a 3 bedroom apartment and your pets are free to roam in all areas. On walks, they will be on a leash at all times and I typically walk away from other people/pets so that there is no potential problem.
