I understand that each pet is unique, and I take the time to learn their individual personalities, routines, and needs. Whether it’s a playful pup, a shy kitty, or a senior pet needing extra attention, I create a safe, nurturing environment where your fur babies feel loved and secure. Rooted in kindness, respect, and a deep commitment to animal well-being, I treat every pet under my care as if they were my own. Your pet deserves the best, and I’m here to help! How I Care for Your Pets: I provide drop-in care designed to keep your pet happy, comfortable, and relaxed in their own home while you're away. No overnight stays—just thoughtful, personalized visits that cater to your pet’s unique needs. Basic Drop-In Care (20 minutes): Includes feeding, potty breaks, and cleaning up after your pet. Advanced Drop-In Care (Available on my days off from my primary job): In addition to basic care, this includes extra time for play, walks, or additional attention based on your pet’s needs. Here’s How It Works: 😻 Comfort in Familiar Surroundings Your pet remains in the comfort and security of their own home, keeping their routine intact. This helps them avoid the stress of boarding or overnight stays and feel at ease while you're away. 💕 Custom Care for Every Pet Whether it’s a high-energy dog who loves exercise or a laid-back cat who wants a cuddle, I tailor each visit to meet your pet’s specific needs. Whether it’s playtime, feeding, or quiet companionship, I’m here to ensure your pet feels loved and attended to. 📆 Routine and Familiarity I’ll follow your pet’s usual schedule for feeding, potty breaks, walks, and playtime. If your pet requires medication or has special care needs, I’ll make sure their routine stays uninterrupted, so they feel right at home. 👀 Safety and Monitoring During every visit, I’ll keep an eye out for any changes in behavior, appetite, or health. If anything unusual arises, I’ll promptly notify you, ensuring peace of mind while you’re away. 😉 Peace of Mind While I’m there, I can take care of small tasks like bringing in the mail, watering plants, or checking the security of your home. I’ll also provide you with an update—often with a photo—so you can rest easy knowing everything is in good hands.

About: Hi Puppy Parents!! My name is Shelby and I have owned and taken care of several animals for over the years from a 19 year old senior dog with special needs to a pregnant cat and her newborn babies! I've worked with many different dog breeds, from Cane Corsos to Chihuahuas and have loved my time with all of them! I'm currently not working so have ample time to socialize and engage with your pups! I absolutely LOVE playing and working with pets, right now I am really enjoying training my new rescue as well as caring for my foster dog, Annie and her 2 week old baby, Bridger. I live in a 1,000+ square feet condo with plenty of room to run and play. Your pup will have access to plenty of outdoor activities as I have a dog park very close, as well as several hiking trails super close by! I like to bring my dog to one big activity a day whether it is a hike or going to the dog park to get out some energy. We would love it if your pup would want to join us for those activities but if they prefer to stay home that’s totally fine too! And then we do TONS of enrichment activities afterwards to stimulate his super smart and mischievous brain! I do not have a yard because I am on the second story but I have a fenced in deck my dog loves to soak up the sun on! I take my puppy out every hour/hour and a half on a little walk around town (.5 miles). Depending on your pups specific needs we could make these walks longer or shorter! :) I am not working anymore, so I have ample time to play and love on your pup in whatever way they need! I also have a pup who loves to play or snuggle with whatever dog is with us for the day! I have a 2 year old puppy to keep your dog company if they are interested, but can also be separated as my pup is crate trained and we have 2 big bedrooms that they can have their own space in if need be! Taken out for potty breaks often! Please let me know your pups daily routine so that I can make this transition as easy as possible for them. If your pet has any specific needs, the more I know the better, I can provide and care for your baby!! :)

About: I have been working with all sorts of dogs for about 8 years now. They just bring an un-found joy into your heart that you would never know or expect. When I was younger, I built my dog walking service, volunteered at a dog kennel and boarding center, and then worked for a mobile groomer for a few years. Dogs listen to me and I listen to them. They respect me and in turn, I respect them and their needs and wants. I am currently taking Veterinary Assistant classes to better help me take care of dogs in my care. I am currently attending college at Cal. State San Marcos & MiraCosta College the summer studying about dogs and cats. Your dog and I will have a fun time together. I have been told that I am a dog whisperer and a friend of the dog community by several people and owners. I enjoy what I do and the clients I serve, see that firsthand with their pups. I live with my parents currently. Your pups will enjoy running around our fully fenced backyard with tons of toys, bones, and treats for them to chew on. We can accommodate your pups with provided kennels and beds for their comfort. Your dogs will feel the safety of my backyard with a sturdy fence and plenty of room to run and play in. Dogs will have their appropriate lashes and harnesses on them at all times during their walks and outings.

About: Hi, my name is Sam! I am looking for extra income on the weekends while getting to do what I love - spending time with dogs! Dependability is extremely important to me. I have reliable transportation and am willing to travel to your home. I also have a recent background check I can provide upon request. I have always had dogs in my home growing up. I have watched dogs for many of my family members and neighbors. I have experience dog walking, providing medication, bathing dogs, and was even responsible to overlook a dog giving birth. I can help with potty-training and basic training needs. I love playing with dogs and giving them lots of attention. I am available most weekends and some evenings during the week. My current work schedule varies, so I may not always have the same availability. If my calendar says unavailable when you need pet care, feel free to message me to see if we can make it work! I’m extremely observant and play it safe when caring for and walking my dog. I look forward to giving your dog the same safe and caring environment.

About: Growing up, I was always surrounded by dogs. My grandparents had many liters of Yorkshire Terriers when I was young. My house had dogs abound, with two Chihuahua Terriers, Australian Cattle Dog, and nine Beagles, seven of which were puppies. I will care for your pet as if they were my own. I am available for bookings all day. Your dog will have a cozy and loving environment while you’re away. If you do not have shoes for your fur child, please let me know so I am able to crochet some booties for them. I look forward to meeting you and your dog(s). Have a great day. This is currently my only work. I am available all day every day of the week. I hope to love them as much as you do. I am more than happy to keep your pups loved and entertained while you’re away. On sunnier days I like to make sure the pups have booties to prevent burns.

Highly recommend Shantell! She walked our two huskies several times over two weeks, and we felt completely comfortable with her and our babies. She really took the time to get to know our dogs and build a bond with them before their walks. She even went out of her way to get our very stubborn husky outside, which is no small task! We travel a lot and will absolutely be booking with Shantell again.

About: Hi! I’m Aydan, a lifelong dog lover who has grown up with dogs and cared for animals for as long as I can remember. Spending time with animals is genuinely one of my favorite things, and I understand how important it is to know your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I’m dependable, attentive, and patient, whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply having a calm companion nearby. I treat every pet as if they were my own and take pride in providing reliable, loving care that gives pet parents peace of mind. I’ve had dogs my entire life and have over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for and walking my own dogs. While I’m newer to Rover, I’m very comfortable around dogs and understand the responsibility that comes with caring for someone’s beloved pet. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I’m a professional singer and performer who has spent the last few years traveling and performing aboard cruise ships. While I’ve loved the adventure, one of the things I’ve missed most while being away from home has been spending time with dogs and other animals! I grew up in Prescott and will be home in Arizona for the summer with a very open and flexible schedule. At the moment, I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week and am excited to build connections with both pets and their owners. Caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and I’m looking forward to meeting new furry friends, getting outside for walks, and providing dependable care and companionship whenever it’s needed. I currently have two Australian Cattle Dogs, Max and Jazzy, who are my babies! They’re both 11 years old and still full of energy, so we’re out on daily walks and often exploring local trails and outdoor adventures together. Along with exercise, I make sure they get plenty of playtime, attention, affection, and of course lots of cuddles. Because I have dogs of my own at home, I’m not currently able to offer boarding or care in my home. However, I’m happy to provide walks, drop-in visits, and pet care in my clients’ homes. When caring for your pet, my goal is to maintain their normal routine and make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’ll treat your dog with the same patience, attention, and care that I give to Max and Jazzy, making sure they get the exercise, companionship, and affection they need.

About: As long as I can remember my family has always had multiple pets in the house. Whether it was birds, reptiles, dogs of all sizes, or cats. I had the responsibility of taking the dogs outside to go to the bathroom, feeding them breakfast and dinner, and bathing them. I used to dog sit my neighbors dog when she went on vacation for 1/2 weeks at a time some things I was trusted doing, was letting the dog out, feeding the dog, playtime with the dog, and locking up the house securely. As of now I take care of my own dog who is completely blind, and needs extra help with leading him places, feeding time, and medication. So I am definitely up to a challenge. I’m currently a vet technician at a animal hospital, so I know a few things. I can trim nails, express anal glands, and bath your pets if requested. Bathing would need to be in your own tub or outside in your yard. I’m currently working part time on the weekends only so I’m available during the week! I have dogs of my own but they are okay if I leave for a little while. I will take care of your pets like my own, and make sure they are comfortable and taken care of. I love every animal and will love yours also.

About: i have taken care of my own two dogs for 15 plus years and instantly fell in love. i had such a strong passion for animals, i started my own clothing company to raise awareness for animal abuse. i have volunteered and taken care of various pets which all the owners were extremely satisfied! i take thorough care in any dog or animal that i take care of as if it were my own. i believe dogs are a very crucial part of peoples lives, and its only fitting that you find someone reliable and responsible who will take great care of them as well as love them and tend to their needs. i am available all days of the week, at pretty much any hour! I own my own company which allows me to work remotely from home so i can spend more time with your furry friends! Absolutely love this job! When I care for pets in their own home, my focus is on creating a calm, familiar, and deeply attentive experience that honors both the pet’s routine and the owner’s trust. I take the time to understand each animal’s personality, habits, and needs—whether that’s maintaining consistent feeding schedules, administering care with patience, or simply offering comfort and companionship in the spaces they know best. I treat every home and every pet as if they were my own, paying close attention to details, safety, and emotional well-being so pets feel secure, relaxed, and genuinely cared for while their owners are away.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 205 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Paulden. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Paulden. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Paulden.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Paulden. On Rover:

  • 100% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
