About: I grew up riding horses and having small dogs around the house, so caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I've been dog and cat sitting off and on for the past 8 years, and I've been working in barns and caring for horses for 12. Today, I'm lucky enough to have a dog and cat of my own, so I understand how important it is to have someone you truly trust caring for your pets while you're away. I have a bachelor's degree in Equine Science, with Animal Science as one of my three minors. Through my education and years of hands-on experience, I've developed a strong understanding of animal care, behavior, health, and daily management across a variety of animals. I have experience caring for senior pets, anxious and reactive animals, and animals with additional medical needs. I'm comfortable administering medications and following detailed care instructions to ensure each pet receives the care they need. Whether your pet wants to go on a long walk or hike, play their favorite games, or simply curl up on the couch, I'm happy to meet them where they are. I care about getting to know each pet’s personality and routine, so they feel comfortable and happy while you’re away. About: I’ve had dogs in my home since I was 9 years old, from 2 month old puppies to senior dogs, and taking care of them has been the best part of my day! I like to focus on mental stimulation as well as physical with dogs so they have a sound mind and body. I’m familiar with crate training, and puppy care, including a solid understanding of training the basics. I’m used to energetic and fast-paced dogs but I love my older and more mellow dogs as well! I’ve pet sat my fair share of cats and feel comfortable with them too. My Australian shepherd and I just moved out to Lexington recently, but I’m excited to offer my services now including recurring dog walking :) let me know if you have any questions for me! I am a flight student so that is my biggest time commitment which is 4 hours 3-4x a week. I know my schedule far out and can adjust my other responsibilities such as coursework and caring for my own dog and any other that may be in my care. I am never gone for too long and making sure the dogs are doing well is a priority that’s extremely important to me. If there is a yard, that will be utilized to the fullest, but I will take full advantage of what the neighborhood has to offer for fun walks/providing sufficient daily stimulation for the dog. Both of us could use the exercise anyways, and they will come home as happy as ever! House Sitting: Available for more than one night. Your pet will get my undivided attention the whole time I'm there (Plant care services complimentary). I am a working sitter with my own pup, so if overnights stays are your preference, then I may not be your flavor, and that’s okay! If your dog cannot do potty breaks for more than 4 hours in between, I’m not the best fit! While I’m at the house, your pet will have my undivided attention and I’d be happy to give any special care needed. I do adore dogs and hope to give back any way I can to other pet owners in need. I know we can’t always turn to friends/family with our pets, but you still want them to be treated as such! About: Very attentive, love dogs of all sizes, shapes and forms! Being outdoors is my favorite and would love to enjoy your pup with some outdoor time or a little adventure.
