“Our dogs are older and have known medical needs, but Jessica was not deterred from taking care of them. Unfortunately our worst fear came true and one of our dogs had a medical crisis while we were out of the country (no one’s fault, just the dog’s health declining). Jessica escalated to us and took our girl to the vet office on two separate days to get her medical care. She work with our vet and learned to give our dog new medications to manage the situation. Aside from rising to the occasion of medical crisis, Jessica sent us tons of photos and updates of all the dogs (which we greatly appreciated). It is difficult enough to find a sitter who is competent in taking care of older dogs with medical issues, but Jessica exceeded all expectations and we can’t thank her enough.”

About: We work from home full-time, which means your pup will get lots of supervision, attention, companionship, and cuddles throughout the day instead of being left alone for long periods. Dogs staying with us typically get up to two walks a day, usually 1–2.5 mile walks at nearby trails. If your pup enjoys walks and adventures, they’re welcome to join! We also make sure dogs have plenty of supervised playtime, enrichment, rest, and individualized attention depending on their personality and energy level. We genuinely love pets and try to make them feel like part of the family while they’re here. Whether your dog is playful, cuddly, shy, energetic, or prefers a calmer environment, we do our best to adapt to their needs and routine. We're also happy to provide regular updates, photos, and videos so you can feel comfortable while you’re away. We know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, and we aim to create a safe, loving environment where both you and your pup feel comfortable. I have a flexible schedule to give your pets the love and attention they deserve! I take my dog on walks twice a day for 1-2.5 miles in the park and typically spend the rest of the day at home, treating your babies like my own. I have a fenced yard and live walking distance from a park with wooded trails. I have a friendly pup in my home who loves having friends to play with. I will care for your pets like my own!

About: I’m 21 years old and have grown up around animals my entire life. I have hands on experience caring for a wide range of pets, especially dogs of all sizes and breeds. I’ve had dogs my whole life from Chihuahuas and Dachshunds to Pit Bulls and Belgian Shepherds so I’m comfortable with everything from small, high energy pups to large, working breeds. I still care for my childhood Dachshund and currently have a Belgian Shepherd, which has given me strong experience with daily routines, training basics, exercise needs, and attentive care. About: I've been taking care of pets for about 5 years, and have cared for pets of my family, friends of my parents, and others who have reached out to me! My time in the summer is super flexible, and I'm willing to meet all of your pets' needs! Throughout the summer, I work a part-time job with a flexible schedule. I put my availability in two-weeks in advance, but only work about 5 to 6 hour shifts when I am scheduled. During the academic year, I take 3 classes on top of working part-time, so my schedule is more limited, but I am still able to take off if alerted two weeks in advance! In the past, I have only cared for pets in the clients' homes. “It is honestly hard to put into words how great an experience I had with Lois without sounding hyperbolic. She was a perfect guardian of my home, my kitties, and my anxious heart. I'd never left my kitties for even a night, and I'd never used a sitting service but was offered the chance to visit my son in the Netherlands for 3 weeks and I couldn't pass it up. I just needed to feel at peace with how I left things at home. Lois was wonderful. She came over early for a meet and greet, and it was immediately obvious she is a kind, intelligent, and gentle person. I have two cats from a horrible hoarding situation who have taken years to feel safe, and they both took to her immediately! My stray, who came to me barely weaned, took a while but even he came around (he is scared of the cars going by the house). She took notes! (Something I always wished people I trained at work would do) Lois and I chatted a bit fairly frequently via a chat app, and she always sent what she called "proof of life" pictures, all of which were so dear. (One was of the kitties waking her up one morning. Such a typical thing in my home, and its normalcy was what made it great. That, and someone just waking up having the presence of mind to grab their phone and record this little domestic scene!) In our chats, just by the way she talked about my kitties it was VERY clear she'd quickly picked up on their personalities, quirks, and needs. The very language she used talking about how they were doing made it obvious she was talking about my kitties, and not just generic kitty language. And she left my home cleaner than I left it for her. While this is not the highest bar (lol) it was so nice to come home after 3 weeks, and an entire day of travel, to a clean, sweet smelling home with clean sheets on the bed! And a bowl of grapes on the counter to snack on (yes, I mentioned grapes and string cheese in our meet and greet. She listened!) I enjoyed Lois. I enjoyed our chats over and above talking about the kitties. She was clearly comfortable and cared about guardianship of my odd, quirky little house. Coming home I would not have known someone stayed here except that my cats were just as happy, fat, and sassy as they were when I left. I would recommend Lois without reservation. I feel like I have added a person in my life that I know I can count on if I need her, and if I ever need someone to care for my kitties it is really nice to know she is there. The comfort and peace she offered while I was on my magical adventure with my son was priceless. Thank you Lois!”
