“Dina was awesome as usual! She loves our puppies as if they were her own and communication is top notch. We are always so happy when she can watch after our pups in our home when we are out of town!”

About: I've been caring for pets for over 8 years through family, friends, and by helping manage my sister's Rover clients. During that time, I've gained experience with dogs and cats of all ages, personalities, and care needs. One of my greatest strengths is working with senior pets. I helped care for and train my own dogs throughout their lives, including into their senior years at ages 15 and 17. This taught me patience, attentiveness, and the importance of maintaining routines, monitoring health, and providing gentle, loving care. I also have experience caring for pets that require intensive monitoring and strict medication schedules. I understand how important consistency is when a pet has medical, age-related, or special needs, and I'm comfortable following detailed care instructions, administering medications as directed, and keeping a close eye on any changes in behavior or health. In addition to caring for dogs and cats, I've assisted with dog sitting, cat sitting, and house sitting for family, friends, and Rover clients. I understand how important it is for pet owners to know their pets and homes are in trustworthy hands. Whether your pet needs playtime, walks, companionship, specialized care, or simply a calm and caring presence, I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and provide regular updates so you can have peace of mind during your time away. I am currently in graduate school, which gives me a flexible schedule that works well for pet care. I am only in class for a few hours each day, so I have plenty of time throughout the day for walks, check-ins, feeding, and companionship. In addition to my weekday availability, I am completely free on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This allows me to take on weekend house sitting, extended stays, and more flexible scheduling needs without conflict. Overall, my routine makes it easy for me to provide consistent, reliable care and attention to pets during both weekdays and weekends. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize their safety, comfort, and routine above all else. I understand that pets feel most secure in their familiar environment, so I focus on maintaining their normal schedule as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions provided by the owner. I am experienced with house sitting, dog sitting, cat sitting, walks, and drop-in visits, and I approach each service with the same level of responsibility and care. I make sure doors are secured, leashes are always used properly on walks, and pets are never left in unsafe situations. I also pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and well-being so I can quickly notice any changes or concerns. In addition, I respect my clients’ homes and treat them with care and professionalism. I keep spaces clean, follow all instructions carefully, and ensure everything is left just as I found it. My goal is to provide peace of mind by creating a safe, trustworthy, and stress-free experience for both pets and their owners.
“Morgan took excellent care of our animals and followed instructions carefully. Morgan was communicative and attentive throughout and made sure both cat and dog were happy and given lots of attention. We will definitely use her services again.”

“Sarah is absolutely amazing! She took incredible care of my dogs and my home while I was away. My pups were so happy and well-cared-for, and it was clear she treated them like her own. Sarah kept me updated with regular messages and photos, which gave me peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. She also left my home spotless, going above and beyond in every way. I highly recommend Sarah to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional dog sitter. She’s the best!”
“Very professional and kind to my dogs. Good communication and very attentive to their needs. Trustworthy and responsible! Thank you so much for taking such good care of our babies!”

“Megan was absolutely wonderful staying in our home and caring for our three Yorkies (our babies)! She loved on them like they were her own, even loved on our cat as much as he would tolerate, and sent us daily updates and pics which helped us be able to relax and enjoy our vacation! I would highly recommend her to anyone and feel confident you will be just as pleased as we are! 🥰”

“Hannah was so great with Daisy! She followed all of the instructions we left and made sure to bond and make Daisy feel comfortable while my husband and I were gone all week on vacation. She provided us daily updates with pictures and was very communicative, which made it so much easier to be away from Daisy for a whole week. I would definitely recommend Hannah to anyone needing a gentle and attentive dog sitter!”

“We had to quickly find someone to help us with an overnight after our dog was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection and couldn’t go to his normal place. We ended up finding Emelyn who was willing to take care of the other two dogs plus our sick pup who needed meds. She was communicative, kind and took great care of our pack. The dogs seemed to be way more at ease in their home plus I got pictures which made us know they were being well taken care of.”

“Bailey house sat for us for 2 days and she was great! She would respond to us immediately and sent us pictures and updates throughout the day. Would definitely rebook with her.”

About: I have always had at least one dog growing up. I started watching dogs (walking during the day or while babysitting) at 10 years old, and house-sitting by 15 (overnight at the dog's house). My childhood dog started receiving daily to twice-daily insulin injections by the time he turned 12, so I am comfortable giving injections. I also have had to give dogs pills orally. My current dog, Wesley, is particularly finnicky about treats, so if he has to take a pill I had to wrap it in wet food and hand feed to him - if your dog is the same way, I am used to "prince"/"princess" dogs :) I have watched my friends' dogs in Denver and it's been great! I am open to having them at my house (preferable for sitting during the week since I have work) or at your place. My job allows me to routinely work from home depending on my schedule and I am located in Littleton (near Chatfield and Ken Caryl areas). When I’m working from home I’ll be able to let the pup out throughout the day, as well as provide love and attention. If I am going into the office, I am usually away no longer than 9 hours. I’ll be sure to walk, play, or do whatever to make up for my time away! I’m pretty laid back with dogs and don’t get really upset if there’s an accident in the house, as I know they can’t help it. However, if there are certain words or commands you use for certain behaviors, please let me know so I can be consistent with your house. The same goes for walking - I usually am firm and keep the dogs on one side and close to me. If you have a certain side you like your dog to be on or words to use while walking, just let me know and I'll incorporate! I will attempt to make your dog's stay as home-like as possible by keeping their schedule, saying certain words/commands, and giving them lots of love and attention! I'm a very flexible and easy going sitter. If I am in town and you need someone last minute, I'm open to that. Have a question? Feel free to reach out and ask! I am currently taking a break in my career and just finished up my “adult gap year” traveling :) while I figure out what’s next, Rover is my main gig until further notice! I like to know what the typical schedule is for your pet so I can try and keep things as normal as possible in their routine. I also like to keep the pet parents updated with texts, especially pictures, to keep them comfortable and knowing their animals are getting love and attention.
“This was the first time that we’ve ever left our two miniature dachshunds at home while we traveled. Needless to say, we were very nervous to leave them with someone that we’ve only met a couple of times. Angelee truly exceeded our expectations! She followed all of our requests and suggestions to the fullest and there’s no question that our puppies felt her genuine love during our time away. In addition to caring for our dogs, Angelee was also conscientious of our home. It truly looked as though we had never left. Honestly, there is no question in our minds that we will always request Angelee to watch our girls and know they will always be well taken care of.”

About: I’ve had pets since childhood and know how to take care of them well, from dogs to guinea pigs I have had to care for multiple different types of animals and will always care for them as my own. I have pet sat both during the day and overnight for friends, family, and people outside of my everyday life, each time caring for the animal with the utmost care. I am currently working part time. I will make sure to listen and pay close attention to what rules and behaviors follow to keep the pet safe in the home, and I will make sure not to let the animals out of my sight when letting them outside if needed.

“Natalie was able to take care of my pups last minute while I was away on a quick weekend trip. She was flexible for a meet and greet, and stayed right on schedule for taking care of my dogs. Will definitely use her for my next trip!”

About: I’ve grown up on a farm, caring for various types of animals including dogs, cats, horses, hamsters, guinea pigs, and fish. I have years of experience working at animal shelters and clinics which makes me prepared for any type of situation. I’m skilled in providing loving, reliable care for all animals, big and small. Ensuring a safe, calm, and comfortable environment is my priority. I’ll make sure your pup feels secure and happy while under my care, providing them with all the attention and safety they deserve!
“Taylor was fantastic with our dogs and provided regular updates! She took the time to learn about them, meet them ahead of the stay to ensure they would be comfortable with her, and embraced their quirks as if they were her own pets! She took great care of our house as well. Will definitely use her again!”

Micah is so wonderful with our crew! He takes such great care of are babies and plays ball with our dogs - who love to play inside and outside. He sent photos and videos which just made our day put our mind at ease. He has sat for us several times and we will definitely continue to have him sit for us in the future.

Lauren is our new best friend. She handled our last-minute booking really well and communicated extensively about how her existing plans might affect our pets’ experience. She stayed over at our house with our two cats and dog, and kept us updated the whole way. Each day I got pictures and updates which made our trip so much more relaxing knowing the pets were being cared for. Our dog got to go on long walks and experience the same enrichment activities as she’s used to because Lauren cared about making sure she was happy. Our shy cat warmed up to her and thats how I know they trust her as much as I do. Thank you, Lauren! We will be rebooking for sure.

Kaitlyn watched our three pups while we were gone for ten days. They absolutely loved her, and we are so so so grateful for her! She came over and met them ahead of time and we got to know who was going to be staying with our babies for a long time. She was great at sending pics & updates. Our AC even went out while we were gone, and she was very communicative and helped make sure the guys could come in and fix it. Our pups were her #1 priority and I know they can’t wait to have her back again :)

Megan was absolutely wonderful staying in our home and caring for our three Yorkies (our babies)! She loved on them like they were her own, even loved on our cat as much as he would tolerate, and sent us daily updates and pics which helped us be able to relax and enjoy our vacation! I would highly recommend her to anyone and feel confident you will be just as pleased as we are! 🥰

Anna was absolutely amazing! She stayed at our house while we were away and went above and beyond every single day. She collected our mail, kept the house tidy, and took incredible care of our dogs. Our collie mix can be highly emotional and needs extra attention, and Anna was truly "the dog whisperer" with her — patient, calm, and clearly attentive to her needs. Both dogs were happy and well cared for the entire time. She sent lots of photos and communicated so well throughout the whole stay — I genuinely didn't worry once, which never happens when we travel! That alone speaks volumes. We can't recommend Anna highly enough and will absolutely be booking her again. She treated our home and our pets like her own. 💛

Taylor took great care of our dog Murphy and our home while we were out of town for our son's wedding. We were able to relax and enjoy ourselves knowing Murphy was being well taken care of. Taylor even washed the sheets and towels she used during her stay and vacuumed too! I highly recommend her!!!

Susanna is the absolute best!!! She is the sweetest, kindest, most gentle and loving human. There was an instant connection with her and I. And her and our pets. I felt safe and comfortable with her and my pets in a way I have never had. She gave updates. And I felt like i was talking with my friend. I never had to worry once with our precious cargo. I knew they were well loved, and well taken care of. She’s just the most magical human. Bringing a sense of calm to our entire household. ❤️

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lexington-Fayette walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lexington-Fayette maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lexington-Fayette choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
