About: I've been around cats a lot throughout my life due to basically being raised in the barn. Therefore, I definitely have some experience with near feral cats, haha! Although I've only had one cat of my own, I have taken care of senior cats, "spicy" cats, kittens, and many cats in between. I'm happy to play with a wand toy, throw a tiny mouse, cuddle with them on the couch, or just feed them if they prefer their independence. I understand that cats tend to prefer a slower approach before they start to trust someone new, and I will always respect their boundaries so that I can build that trust with your kitty companion.

About: Cats have always had a special place in my heart - from kittens to seniors. I grew up caring for two family cats, both rescues, who each had at least one litter of kittens, so I learned hands-on how to care for everything from newborn kittens to full-grown adults. That experience led family and friends to trust me with their own cats over the years. My cat Sally was with me for about 14 years, and during the later years of her life, I took care of her daily needs, including administering medication. My cats were indoor/outdoor, but I've also sat cats that were strictly indoor or strictly outdoor, so I'm comfortable either way. I love cats for their individual personalities. Sally was cuddly and affectionate all the time; my other cat, Clara, was more reserved and liked her space, and I loved them both just the same. About: When I was around four, I started to go across the street and cat-sit for this empty-nest couple. They were older, and so they wanted to travel more. The lady owned two cats, a Birman and an Oriental Shorthair. The lady used to take them to cat shows, and they were her most prized possession. They had grandkids to see and wanted to explore as many different countries as they could. They used to say, "Maggie, you are so convenient, and I am glad that you are here so we can leave and do things that we love more often." My mom never once told me to go and do my job. I woke up and was ready to go see Bootsy and Bella. They moved when I was 16, and I was their sitter until the day they left. I realized that for people to do the things they loved, they needed an easy, stress-free, and affordable sitter for their animals. Anyway, I started a show kennel for my Italian Greyhounds because of her, and now this is my full-time gig. I run a full-time boarding and daycare facility at my house. I am open for boarding and daycare 7 days a week. I own show dogs, and so I am home training and working on my websites while the dogs have multiple areas and an outdoor fenced area to play. I work on my computer for 3-5 hours a day and play with and walk the dogs while I rotate in between that. I take lots of pictures during the day and have an instagram that I post them on. The dogs rotate among the kitchen, the basement, and the outdoor enclosure. All dogs have access to water 24/7. The outdoor enclosure has a roof, and I run a fan when it is hot, in accordance with USDA guidelines. If the weather is bad, I walk the dogs or just let them play together in the basement or kitchen.

I have two pitbull mixes who can be a handful when their energy is high, and one who is quite reactive to other dogs. Lucas showed my dogs nothing but kindness and patience and effectively got them exercised and got their energy out for me. He showed up on time each walk and followed my instructions perfectly. He also communicated with me consistently which gave me a lot of peace of mind. About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and truly love getting to understand what makes each one unique. I raised and fully trained my own puppy, who is now five years old, and recently completed a Dog Psychology class focused on reducing stress and promoting positive behavior. I’m also pursuing research in animal cognition, which helps me better understand how animals think, learn, and communicate. I’m comfortable caring for pets of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need extra patience and care. I’ve also looked after cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, turtles, and I currently have a seven-year-old leopard gecko. As a college student with a flexible schedule, I have plenty of time to spend with your pet throughout the day. About: I have had a dog from the time I was 12 until I was 22! I know how to take care of all ages, from puppies to our beloved senior doggies. I’m in search for my new study buddy to keep me company while I do my flash cards! I am currently in medical school, and my class schedule is predictable but flexible.
