About: My partner and I both work fully remote so we’re home all day with a ton of flexibility for long walks and activities. He’s had golden retrievers in the family since childhood and I’ve rescued several dogs from the Dominican Republic. Currently, we don’t have any pets in our home as they’re all with other family members. With that said, we miss the pup cuddles and would love to give your pet the love and attention they deserve while you’re away. We’re extremely flexible with our work schedules and enjoy getting distracted by furry friends :) Between the two of us, we’ll take turns going on walks/to the dog park if the weather is decent. Attention to the pet is beneficial to all parties. We are practically step-parents to many friends/families animals so have become familiar with how much love and care they need. About: My whole life I have grown up owning multiple dogs. Right now I have three dogs at home, two beagles and a king charles cavalier spaniel. I am a full time pet lover and treat every animal with the same kindness and respect. I also have training experience so dogs of any and all ages would not be a problem for me! I also work part time at Lemaire at the Jefferson Hotel in the evenings. However, my schedule is still very flexible, especially during the day, so that i can accommodate your animal’s needs. I am available Monday-Sunday and some holidays. I am currently a part time employee at Lemaire at the Jefferson Hotel. I am typically free all day on Monday’s and Tuesday’s. Wednesday-Sunday I am available until 3pm and after 10pm. I always make sure windows and doors are shut in the house at all times especially before leaving the house. I also never take an animal off leash unless there is a fenced in area. Before leaving the house I always check to make sure there is nothing potentially dangerous hanging around that could be gotten into.

“Dawn Star took wonderful care of my two dogs while my family and I were out of town for a long weekend. I came back home to happy dogs and a well cared for home. This was my first experience with a house sitter and found my dogs to be much more relaxed at the end of the stay compared to when they board at a facility. One of my dogs is very high energy, and the other is more reserved. Dawn Star handled their particular dynamics without issues. She also paid attention to my care/ instruction sheet and followed it to a T. I’m very happy with this experience and would hire Dawn Star again.”

About: Friendly sitter with experience with senior pups, cats and chickens. I currently have two wonderful dogs and a handful of chickens. One of our dogs is what we believe is a Foxhound and the other is a Shepherd mix. Both are rescues so we are not sure. I also have experience with cats, parrots (green crowned conure) and various farm animals. Update: I no longer work from home. I am now in Richmond M-F, 8-5. I am happy to stop by during my lunch break to check on your babies in the city. Any other surrounding areas would have to be weekends and not during work hours. Apologies for any inconvenience! I am happy to stop by your home and care for your pets. One of my pups is reactive and we do not want to make her (or your baby) uncomfortable by bringing other pets into our space.
