About: I’ve been a lifelong pet owner and have spent the past 12+ years volunteering with a local rescue that specializes in special-needs animals. Over the years, I’ve fostered dozens of dogs with a wide range of needs, helping them learn basic obedience, house manners, and successful housebreaking skills while preparing them for their forever homes. I currently share my home with a special-needs Great Dane, a Labradoodle, and an elderly cat. My Labradoodle is a trained therapy dog, and together we participate in visits to schools, hospitals, nursing homes, and other community settings. Through my own pets and foster animals, I have extensive experience caring for senior dogs, dogs with mobility challenges, dogs requiring medications, and pets needing extra patience and attention. I regularly provide pet care for friends, family, and neighbors through home visits and in-home boarding. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine, and I strive to provide the same love, structure, and care that they receive at home. Whether your pet is young and energetic, elderly, special-needs, or simply needs a little extra attention, I will care for them as if they were my own. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. My children are grown, and I have the flexibility to devote plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. Our own pets are an important part of our family, and caring for them is already a central part of my daily life. I enjoy playing pickleball and going to the gym, but otherwise I spend much of my time at home. This allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, exercise, companionship, and lots of attention for visiting pets. Whether your pet enjoys walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply a consistent routine, I have the time and flexibility to help them feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. Safety and comfort are my top priorities when caring for your pets. My home has a securely fenced yard and a doggie door, allowing dogs safe access to outdoor time while remaining supervised. I also have multiple crates and the ability to separate pets when needed. With years of fostering and caring for special-needs, senior, and rescue animals, I understand that every pet has different needs, personalities, and comfort levels. I am experienced in managing introductions, creating separate spaces, and maintaining routines that help pets feel secure and stress-free. When providing care in your home, I treat your home with the same respect I would my own. I am happy to bring in mail and newspapers, water plants, clean litter boxes, and help maintain your pet’s normal routine. I can also transport pets to veterinary appointments if needed. My goal is to provide dependable, loving care so you can travel with confidence, knowing your pets and home are in good hands.
“This was our first time leaving our newly adopted cat and Michelle took great care of her. She provided us with detailed feedback and took the extra step of cleaning up tracked litter and fur balls to keep our cat's space clean.”

“Dustin & Allyson did a fantastic job watching our cat! They sent tons of pictures and made sure to communicate how she was doing each day! Dustin was a pleasure to chat with at our meet & greet. We will definitely be using them again in the future!”

“Lauren was amazing. So nice and wonderful with my admittedly slightly crazy dog. Each checkin came with a pic of my pup and I felt that my dog was taken care of and eased a lot of my anxiety being away from her. 100% recommend.”

“Kyle and Meagan were fantastic! They took Luna to the park and wore her out for a drop by visit! They sent plenty of photos which I loved! It was nice to know Luna was taken care of while I was at work and before my boyfriend got home. Thank you so much!”

“Briana is so enthusiastic and caring for our boys. Our dogs love her and she went above and beyond to provide night relief, treats, and care during a particularly challenging summer when our old dog needed her the most. She is a true professional and I'd trust her with my dogs and house any time!”

About: I’ve been dog sitting for the last five years. Within my experience, I have only taken care of dogs under the age of 10. I absolutely love to go on long walks with animals! I currently work five days a week, but my work is in the center of my desired sitting area. In my previous sitting jobs, I have been able to take my 30 minute break at work to go check on the animals and let them out. I am normally up really early in the morning and late at night, so your animal will get enough care during the entire day! I care for pets very safe and carefully. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
