“Nina accommodated me last minute, and did an absolutely fantastic job! she sent me photos of my dogs, and even went out of her way to give them treats at the end of the visit from her own stash when I didn’t have my own, and followed directions perfectly! she made sure to keep any temperaments that I had let her know about in mind while dropping in with them, and my babies seem so happy with her care. will definitely be using her again!”

“Jessalyn took the time to really get to know Luna, asking thoughtful questions about my expectations for her care. She respected Luna’s boundaries and recognized that building trust and relationships with her would take time.”

“Megan is an amazing sitter who took great care of my special needs dog when I had to leave town for work. She gave him his insulin without any issues and gave me great notes on how the visit went. She went above and beyond in every visit and she is at the top of my list for future needs. She really kept my heart at ease when I couldn’t be home and made me feel good about leaving him in her care.”
“Meranda did such an awesome job watching my cats. One of them is a senior who requires an inhaler. She made sure both of them were well cared for & both my cats took to her right away. The communication was awesome and 100% would recommend her :)”
“I had a great experience working with Emma! She took great care of my kitties and helped give medication to one of them, while also monitoring her condition and keeping me updated every day. It really gave me peace of mind. The kitties are happy to see her again!”

About: Early 40’s year old sitter/walker with car. You could say I have 40+ years of experience. My family had a German Shepherd from before I was born and I was very close to her. There has been a stream of pets in my family. Including so so so many cats in NYC. Even going so far as to “rescue” a half feral one. Currently, I share ownership of a dog. As a small business owner of over 10 years, I am able to have a flexible schedule and spend more time hanging out with your pet(s). That said, I have a lot of experience managing other people, and I do have high expectations for clear communication from clients. I have never had a complaint from clients that already have human children. I am very clear about the kind of care I offer. For example, I clearly state I can do 4-8 hrs for letting out. That does not mean that when I get to the sit, you tell me you expect every hour. I also do not cancel other bookings so that you can be the sole client. I have been through that, obliged, and the client was still dissatisfied. I am running a business and the new owner of this app runs on harsh algorithms that hide you in search. Let’s try to be better and more human, than conforming to private equity and their bottom line. For the fur babies, I can follow their diet and pet or play or brush their hair. As long as you give me a list or schedule, I'll do my best to provide it. I have extensive experience with pets at all stages of life. (As well as other kinds of pets which I am open to caring for.) I understand the care required for a wide variety of needs and can do my best to provide reinforcement on current training, but I am not going to be attuned right off the jump to the nuances noticed by your trainer or you... I can reinforce sit, lay down, paw, stay, heel, rollover, or anything else. I can administer medicine. I am not formally trained in pet CPR, but I am trained in human CPR and have looked at videos for pet CPR. When I was younger I worked as a lifeguard, and have a remarkable natural ability to stay calm and act fast in crisis situations. This comes in handy, for example: when protecting my maltipoo from other dogs, managing territorial behavior, or keeping one dog out of another dog’s bowl. My schedule is flexible and I have a car. I have a small business and partial responsibility of my dog, so I do need to be able to run errands, go to meetings, or check in at home to keep that part of my life running. For extended care, and distance further than 5 miles, I prefer be given the option to stay over at clients for the sake of gas costs, time, and energy. First meeting and approach are important to setting a precedent, I first see if the pet will approach me. I like to offer my hand palm down for them to smell. Sometimes it takes a few times smelling the hand before they feel comfortable letting me pet them. In my opinion it’s important not to mess up first impressions with the pet. Spending time together builds familiarity bonds, being attentive builds trust. It’s important to build rapport.
“I’m very happy that I found Melissa! She was very gentle and kind with my beloved cat, she spent the entire time of her visit with him, sent me detailed update and cute pictures! Really appreciate her help and for sure will book her service again! Also very pleasant communication with her! Definitely can recommend Melissa!”

“Tabby is absolutely wonderful. My pups and kitty had a lovely time with her. I could tell they were really comfortable while I was gone. She has watched them multiple times at this point and I will definitely be booking her for services again whenever I am headed out of town.”

“I was so worried about Simon but I came back from a 3week vacation and he was wonderful. I know this is because Alison took such good care of him. She was awesome. I would completely recommend her.”

“Emily was wonderful with our three kitties! She was great about keeping us updated and informed during her visits, and even managed to get one of our more shy cats to come out of his shell and play a little during our short time away. ❤️ Would definitely have her watch our cats again!”

“Gabby did GREAT handling my two big babies! They loved her and I had no issues. I will for sure be rebooking Gabby when I need help in the future. Thanks again!”

“Katrina took excellent care of our kitty boy while we were out of town!! She was kind and communicative and took her time playing with him and caring for him. We couldn’t be happier with her service!”

“Angel was extremely responsive when setting up the meet and greet and took amazing care of Mr Cat! She sent daily photos and updates and he looked happy and cared for!”

“Crystal is avgo-to cat sitter for my 2 sweet cats. She most recently cared for them during my 10-day vacation. I felt great knowing that she was visiting and spending time with them, following a routine, and checking all the details to make sure they had what they needed. Thank you so much, Crystal!”

“Stephanie took care of my two cats when I was out of town for an extended work trip. She did a great job: they were well taken care of and really warmed up to her. I appreciated her clear communication, especially around an incident where one of my cats knocked a houseplant over. I'd definitely consider hiring her again if I have another longer term trip!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Paddock Hills
Christina is great with my dog Sherman. She is reliable and communicative with what’s going on which I appreciate. Sherman is a big and active dog and it makes such a different that he can stretch his legs outside and get a potty break in the middle of my work day. I would highly recommend!

Hailey was amazing! We really missed our cats on our trip and Hailey sent multiple pictures everyday. We were so excited to see them playing and snuggling with her each day. Hailey provided a variety of activities for the cats, including playing with different toys and providing stimulation like opening the windows. We really appreciated her help!

Too many visits to specifically comment. Carson is communicative, flexible and takes great care of my fur babies. One pup is special needs and Carson is patient with her, does her eye drops and changes her diaper. He has done house sitting also where he gives them their medication including insulin shots. When I return they look well cared for and happy. I feel secure my pups are cared for with Carson.
