“Cheryl’s is dog paradise. Plenty of outdoor time with like minded fun dogs. Opportunities to cuddle on the couch when a rest is needed. Nellie returned home happy and exhausted! Absolutely a wonderful experience on all levels!”

“Lisa was a great dog sitter. She sent me updates to let me know how Cali was doing while we were gone. Would definitely use her again if I am ever in the area.”
“Sheri was fantastic! She has a great home for dogs, with separate areas & a fenced yard. Our two boys are country dogs and have never done doggie daycare. Sheri was very good with them, even our old man who suffers from separation anxiety. They came back to us each day happy and ready for dinner. We would definitely recommend Sheri & will to all our friends who RV.”

“This was the best experience I have had on this app, Damian was incredible even gave my girl a bath. Sent me all the pictures and videos I could ask for . It truly was a great experience I will definitely be using him again .”

About: I’m a dog breeder with over 10 years experience. Over the years of having my own pets I found making others happy by breeding my beautiful poodles and finding homes for her babies very rewarding. I have experience with house sitting dog sitting ,hosting, dog walking and some grooming. Since my poodles have passed on I decided to adopt 3 female cockapoo dogs. I also think this would be a great way to spend time with other people’s family members and give them the security of knowing there loved ones are in good hands. I’m very dependable and can pass a background check . I would love the opportunity to care for your baby. Please feel free to contact me to set up a time to meet your furry family member or members. I look forward to meeting you all very soon. I’m semi retired and have 2 female cockapoo’s My girls love play dates and so do I . So in my spare time I love to help others with their fur baby care while they’re away. I love to walk my girls around my neighborhood at least twice a day if not more, and I’m sure your baby will love it also. Plus having my girls to play with 💕
About: I have worked as a petsitter both on and off of Rover for over 8 years now, providing loving and safe care for dogs and cats of various ages and sizes. I am currently a law student in the area looking to make some extra cash to pay off student loans. Expect trustworthy and communicative service. Please inquire for further information or if your pet has specific needs that I can address.
“Daymee took care of my dog on very short notice and was more than cooperative. She sent me a ton of photos of my boy Cosmo and kept me informed all day. I would definitely recommend it!”

“Sophie's first visit with Kat - she returned to us relaxed and happy. Kat took her for 3 walks during the day and Sophie behaved better with her than she does with us on the leash. Kat helped Sophie through a little anxiety when an unexpected thunderstorm passed through. We hadn't told her about Sophie's fear of loud noises like gunshots, fireworks, and thunder - but she knew just what to do to help calm her. We're looking forward to another visit next week and more to come. Highly recommend (and the only reason we hesitate to give a glowing recommendations is purely selfish - we don't want y'all to grab all her availability!)”

About: I work from home full-time and most weekend time is spent at home as well, with errands in between....so your pet will have PLENTY of company, comfort, and attention throughout the day....No long lonely hours here! My home is peaceful, pet-friendly, and located in a quiet neighborhood with a fully fenced patio for fresh air and gentle outdoor time. I take the time to understand each pup’s personality and routine. Communication is BIG with me and will send updates, photos, and little check-ins so you always feel connected and in the loop. I do like to schedule a meet and greet before booking so everyone feels good and comfortable, especially your pup. I know how important it is to feel at ease when you are away from your fur baby. For overnight stays, crate-trained pups are ideal, but if not, that is completely okay. I can set up a cozy, safe gated sleep space so your dog feels comfortable and secure... I just prefer no free roaming during sleep time so everyone is comfortable and gets rest. Before booking, please make sure your pet’s profile is updated and includes a photo so I can get to know them before they arrive. Thank you so much for considering (and trusting) me to provide a happy, safe and comfortable stay. Looking forward to meeting everyone :) I work full-time from home Monday through Friday, which gives me the flexibility to provide consistent, attentive care. As much as I’d love a pet of my own, it’s just not in the cards right now, so spending time with amazing furry friends while helping others feels like the best of both worlds. I work full-time from home Monday through Friday, which gives me the flexibility to provide consistent, attentive care throughout the day. As much as I’d love to have a pet of my own, it’s just not the right time—so getting to spend time with amazing furry friends while helping out fellow pet owners really feels like the best of both worlds. I’m home the majority of the time during the week and weekends. Aside from quick errands or the occasional dinner out, I’m rarely gone for long, and honestly, when I’m pet sitting, it just makes me want to get home even faster to make sure everyone’s happy, fed, and feeling cared for. I know how important routine is for everyone! —meals, walks, playtime, and any special care they need. I live in a safe, quiet neighborhood that’s perfect for calm walks and a peaceful stay. I treat every pet like family and will always keep you updated with photos and check-ins along the way.
“Michelle and Dustin were really nice. They took a very good care of my dogs and sent a lot of cute pics throughout the day. They took them to a dog park, played fetch and even cuddled with them. I have a doberman and a golden retriever and they are very high energy dogs. Michelle and Dustin went above and beyond and made sure my puppies got enough exercise throughout the day. Dogs looked very happy when I picked them up. I will definitely use their services again in the future.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Ormond-by-the-Sea
Cheryl is AMAZING! I have 3 feisty babies who just love to be rambunctious and Cheryl was very patient and loving to them. I can see they trusted her because the boy is very fearful of people and he came back so happy. You can tell they all had so much fun because they were worn out and slept well especially for ME, I was able to have a break and sleep well myself. Thank you Cheryl, we will do this again.

Sheri was fantastic! She has a great home for dogs, with separate areas & a fenced yard. Our two boys are country dogs and have never done doggie daycare. Sheri was very good with them, even our old man who suffers from separation anxiety. They came back to us each day happy and ready for dinner. We would definitely recommend Sheri & will to all our friends who RV.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Ormond-by-the-Sea commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
