“Heather took good care of my cat while I was away. She followed instructions, as well as helped bring in packages that were left at my front door. My cat is normally very shy of other humans and pets upon first meetings, but mine opened up and was very friendly towards Heather.”

“Tracey is awesome!! She took very good care of my guinea pigs and made sure their cage was clean and they had plenty of food and treats. I didn’t have to worry about them because I knew they were in good hands! She was also excellent at checking in and promptly communicating any issues.”

“I’ve hired Laura for drop-in visits and couldn’t be happier with her services. She stopped by a few days in advance to meet us and go through the care schedule. On the actual day, she kept to our agreed time schedule and sent me updates and pictures of my dog Purdy. She played with her, fed her, and took her on a walk. I’d definitely work with Laura again and highly recommend her for those in the OBS area! Thanks, Laura!”

“This is the second visit Monica has taken on with my energetic pups. She is a great communicator and sends lots of pics. Chewy arrived while she was there and she provided treats all around :) the pups love her and I can’t say enough about how appreciative I am to have a reliable person to take care of the pups while I’m out!”

“Our dog has special needs and caring for him isn't easy. Damian went above and beyond to care for and help our old pup while we took a weekend off. We cannot express our gratitude enough. We recommend him 100% and will rehire any chance we have.”

About: I have always had a dog or two or three since I can remember. Most of my dogs have been rescues of various breeds and sizes but my most loved were pugs. I was a member of Pug Rescue of Florida where I fostered senior and disabled pugs until they found their forever homes or joined mine. I am happy to walk, play, love, snuggle and bath your pet while you are away. I am a retired math teacher so I have plenty of time to devote to caring for your pet. My schedule is flexible and I’m looking for a side job taking care of pets that lets me enjoy something I am passionate about. I will treat your home with respect and follow all directions to the letter because I know how important it is to have your pets safe and happy while you are away.

“Cheryl was awesome. Checked in my furbabies as requested. Made sure they felt cared for and loved. And got some great pics when she left. I felt very comfortable with Cheryl in my home while we were gone. She even checked on the chickens even though she was not asked to. She went over and beyond.”
“Lisa did a great job with Reese! She showed up as scheduled and gave me updates and pictures. I will definitely ask Lisa to pet sit Reese again.”

“Anna did so well with my nervous and reactive dog. She was patient and took the time needed to get to know my dog so their visit went smoothly when she went alone to drop in! She also took the cutest photos!”

“Kim was fantastic! She sent wonderful updates and is definitly someone you can trust to take care of your fur baby when you’re away. I will be using her again when necessary.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Ormond-by-the-Sea
Tracey is amazing. She always goes beyond what one would expect. I have a cat that hides very well. She searches for her all over the house and when she finds her, I receive a picture of a cat in hiding. Luna, our other cat adores her and is always around to receive loving from Tracey. I recommend her for anyone that loves their pet(s). .

Really appreciate your help with my fur babies. This time included 2 trips to the vet. To be able to be far from home and know that my pets are well taken care of,with a full report and pictures after each visit gave me a great sense of peace. Thank you so much!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
