“Nicole took great care of our dogs while we were away and helped one of our dogs with his recovery from a dental procedure. He needed special meds and she took care of it well, even in his grumpy mood! Great sitter!”

“Natalia was amazing with my girls. Really interacted with them. She went over and above and the girls were so happy when I got home. She provided lots of great photos also. They can be a handful and she handled them beautifully. Thank you Natalia, we look forward to the next time.”

“Anna is exceptional - she took great care of our cat Pepper for two weeks! It took no time at all for Pepper to come to love Anna. She went out of her way to give Pepper plenty of loving and play time. She also was a great communicator and sent lots of photos and videos - which was very much appreciated. Highly recommend!”

“Chelsea was wonderful! She’s was attentive, communicative and timely. She was so sweet she even gave Max a plush toy. We’re very grateful for her and hope to have her come back if we ever need someone to care for Max.”

About: I’ve cared for pets my whole life. Dogs, cats, turtles, horses. All ages, all breeds, all behaviors! I’ve walked dogs, house sat, cared for cats, and made sure any furry friend was happy and comfortable. Your pet will always come first! I’m flexible and can fit your friend into any part of my day. No matter the distance, I will always make sure your pet is taken care of. I make sure the pet is comfortable with me, and take all needs into consideration to make sure they feel safe with me. Doing this allows me to build trust with them and make sure they’re okay while you’re away.
“Amazing sitter! Dependable, kind, great communication, trustworthy, and my puppies love her! Deborah has been coming to see both my young puppies for daily drop ins for weeks, and we are very grateful for all of her help!”

“Wendy is awesome!! Very easy to get along with and VERY good to animals. She communicates effectively and she was willing to make adjustments on the fly as needed. Great pet sitter!!”

About: Dogs have been a central part of my life since I was a child. Following the passing of my sweet dog Dukey in December, I truly miss the joy and companionship that dogs bring, and I would love to pour that energy into caring for your pup during walks and check-ins. My professional experience working with a veterinary professional development company gives me a unique edge in understanding pet health, body language, and safety on the go. Neighbors, friends, and family have always trusted me to visit and care for their pets. You can count on me to be extremely reliable, punctual, and respectful of your home. Whether your dog needs an active, fun-filled walk or some dedicated playtime and fresh water during a drop-in, their safety and happiness are my top priorities! I offer flexible availability for daily dog walking and drop-in visits. Because I manage my own remote schedule, I can easily accommodate mid-day check-ins, lunchtime walks, or evening visits to break up your pup's day. I am highly punctual and reliable, making it easy to fit seamlessly into your dog’s established routine while you are at work or away. Safety is my absolute top priority when visiting your home and walking your dog. I ensure doors and gates are securely locked when entering and leaving your property. On walks, I am always highly alert to our surroundings, keeping your dog on a secure leash and avoiding interactions with unfamiliar dogs to ensure a safe, stress-free outing. My background gives me a sharp eye for pet body language, so you can trust your pup is in safe, attentive hands.
“Kataryna and Teddy took AMAZING care of our cat. They were great at communicating and went above and beyond to meet our needs. They gave our cats lots and lots of loving. They house sat for a few days and even agreed to extend the care as we had an emergency and went to the store to get cat food/litter when we ran out. Will most definitely book them again!! Thank you both so so much”

About: I have fostered and worked with rescues in Canada when I lived there. I have also been a cat and dog mom for the last 26 years. I have potty trained and fostered puppies and abused animals from different situations. I own my own home and can sit in my home or yours. I love to drive so I can also pick up or go to appointments if needed. I am retired and have all the time in the world right now to do what makes me smile! That means being an amazing loving dog and cat sitter. I get up every morning take the dogs to the dog park or a good walk We go to the beach and go on trails exploring After a fun day we usually chill out when it’s especially hot and then have a nightly walk before heading to bed. I treat my dogs like family and if in my home they will have the house as they feel comfortable. If I am in your home I will follow any instructions left to insure that they are comfortable and consistent. I own my own home and have 2 fur babies of my own. A 15 year old bichon and an 8 year old cockapoo. If your animals come to my home they will be treated just like my own family. I am available for 24 hour care as well if needed for long periods of time. I do not crate my dogs they have free run of my home and furniture.

“My dog Delila is shy and doesn't like strangers, but she loves Gwendolyn. I guess because she can sense how much love Gwendolyn has for animals. Thank you for taking such good care of my girl.”

“At last minute, Deborah made herself available to watch my crew. I am SO glad she did. My nervous dog and bird were obviously very well engaged while I was away, as they didn’t seem to miss me at all once I returned. ? Deborah went above and beyond with her care of them and I’m so grateful I found her! Will def hire again.”

“I was gone 4 days and needed someone urgently to watch my 2 cats. She promptly responded to my request on rover and took my call to discuss what was needed while I was gone. I booked her for the 1 hour session with my cats every day. She sent picture updates and did a great job. My cats were very happy when I got home. Thank you!”

“Joelma was fantastic and attentive with 10-week old Benji. She took the time to inquire about every detail of his care. She's a true dog lover, and Benji can't wait to have her visit again! Thank you so much, Joelma!!”

About: Hello there! I’m María. I’m a 28-year-old nursing student. In my spare time, I love spending time with dogs. I grew up always having pets, but currently I’m pet-free because of school and work. I’d be more than happy to take your precious pooch for a walk! I understand that life gets busy, and sometimes it’s not always easy to get out for a mile or two with your dog. I’ve been on Rover for over 10 years and was very active on here when I was younger, especially doing house sitting. I’m happy to do whatever helps you feel comfortable and confident leaving your pet in my care. Honestly, dogs have always had a special place in my heart. Not having one of my own right now leaves a little hole that I’m trying to stay strong about until I have the time to properly give a pet the life they deserve. Until then, spending time with your dog helps fill that space and makes me incredibly happy. I’m doing this to help the community, spend some much-needed time with man’s best friend, and get a little exercise with a furry friend along the way. Petcare fits into my routine to get me out of the house and take a breath with a friend, there's nothing that makes me happier than dogs. I plan to create a secure environment by carefully following your instructions and ensuring that our surroundings are always safe, as well as keeping the leash properly on at all times.
“Margarita was fabulous with Minnie. Made sure she was exercised, feed and bathroom relieved before she left her. Amazing person. Will continue to call her for future services.”

“Phenomenal Cat sitter. I have a very shy cat but she Roseanne up with an idea that really helped to bring Stella out from under bed. Her persistence caring and loving impressed me so much. Roseanne was also flexible and easy to work with and an excellent communicater. I highly recommend Roseanne for your pet sitting needs.”

“Carol is AMAZING with our pups! She gives them lots of love, talks to them and immediately wins them over. Even my grumpy dog goes right to her for pets and snuggles. For the owners, she communicates well, sends pictures, follows feeding and walk instructions, asks questions before making assumptions and is completely trustworthy in your home. I would recommend her with highest confidence.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
