“I was gone 4 days and needed someone urgently to watch my 2 cats. She promptly responded to my request on rover and took my call to discuss what was needed while I was gone. I booked her for the 1 hour session with my cats every day. She sent picture updates and did a great job. My cats were very happy when I got home. Thank you!”

About: Hi! I’m your pet’s new favorite human 🐾 I treat every fur baby like they’re my own—lots of love, attention, playtime, and snuggles (if they’re into that!). I’m super patient, reliable, and great at picking up on each pet’s unique personality and needs. I also have a background in childcare, working in multiple child care settings and holding a CDA (Child Development Associate), so I’m naturally nurturing, attentive, and big on routines and safety. Whether it’s a shy cat or an energetic pup, I make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits easily into my routine! I only work about 3 days a week from 9–5, so I have plenty of flexibility and time to give pets the attention they deserve. I provide personalized care based on each pet’s routine and needs. In my home, pets enjoy a safe, clean space with a fenced yard for playtime, plus lots of love and attention. I also have a friendly 3-year-old Shih Tzu who loves other animals and makes a great companion. In a client’s home, I stick closely to your pet’s normal routine

About: I’ve been a lifelong dog lover, and caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. At 67 years young, I have the patience, reliability, and genuine love that pets deserve. I understand that every dog has their own unique personality, routine, and needs, and I take the time to make each one feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether it’s going for walks, playing, giving belly rubs, or simply providing companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I know how important it is to trust someone with a beloved family member, and I take that responsibility to heart. I’m home full time, which means your pet will receive plenty of attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. My flexible schedule allows me to stick to your pet’s normal routine, whether that includes regular walks, playtime, feeding, medication, or simply lots of love and cuddles I have a fenced in yard with a pool. For pets that do not know how to swim, I prefer to stick to just walks rather than time in the back yard to be sure they are safe.

“Damian is fantastic ! He has come to our house since our Golden Retriever, Willow, was a tiny puppy. He is responsible (always prompt), caring (he plays with her & thinks of ways to entertain and socialize her ),, and Willow just loves him. I would highly recommend Damian to anyone in the Port Orange area. We will DEFINITELY be using Damian’s service next time we need a sitter. He’s a Keeper.”

I have worked with, and networked in animal rescue and have worked extensively with marine animals, as well. I have some knowledge of training techniques and a deep love of animals. “There is a reason why Natalie has so many positive reviews and repeat customers. Her professionalism and care she gave us and our cats was above and beyond. Very communicative with us each day, and very adaptable when our entry system took extra steps. We are so pleased with Natalie and will be her newest repeat customer.”

I started at a general practice veterinary clinic assisting with general veterinary procedures as well as caring for pets who were boarding at the facility. I also worked temporarily at an emergency veterinary clinic, monitoring patients and assisting with major procedures. I also worked at a boarding facility for cats and dogs for two years, caring for overnight guests and facilitating playtimes with different groups of dogs, including being a lifeguard to dogs in the doggy pool. Please contact me with any questions you may have, I'd be pleased to work with you! I am available weekdays after 6pm and all day on weekends. Every pet needs the quality attention and physical exercise they need everyday! I would love to be that person for you. DOGS: I enjoy exploring outdoors and would be thrilled to take your pet on an exploratory stroll around the neighborhood or in a local park! I'm pleased to cater to any of your dog's specific dietary, exercise, training, or play routines. I will always keep you updated as you please! I'm always happy to administer any medications and adhere to feeding, grooming, cleaning, etc. schedules.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Codys Corner. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
