“I was in Palm Coast for a family reunion and booked Maisie's daycare services for the days I couldn't bring my dog with me. From the very beginning, Maisie was prompt, professional, and kind in all of her communication. She took the time to share her and her husband's extensive professional experience, which immediately put me at ease about leaving my dog with someone else for the first time. Knowing my dog was in such capable and caring hands made all the difference. I wouldn't hesitate to book with Maisie again and highly recommend her services to anyone looking for reliable, compassionate pet care. Thank you, Maisie!”

“Sophie's first visit with Kat - she returned to us relaxed and happy. Kat took her for 3 walks during the day and Sophie behaved better with her than she does with us on the leash. Kat helped Sophie through a little anxiety when an unexpected thunderstorm passed through. We hadn't told her about Sophie's fear of loud noises like gunshots, fireworks, and thunder - but she knew just what to do to help calm her. We're looking forward to another visit next week and more to come. Highly recommend (and the only reason we hesitate to give a glowing recommendations is purely selfish - we don't want y'all to grab all her availability!)”

“Cheryl is AMAZING! I have 3 feisty babies who just love to be rambunctious and Cheryl was very patient and loving to them. I can see they trusted her because the boy is very fearful of people and he came back so happy. You can tell they all had so much fun because they were worn out and slept well especially for ME, I was able to have a break and sleep well myself. Thank you Cheryl, we will do this again.”

“Lisa was a life saver on Christmas Day! She watched Mama for me for a few hours after really short notice. I really appreciate her and will definitely book again.”
About: Hi, my name is Joanna. I was a vet tech in South Carolina for two years before moving back to Florida. I love dogs and have always had one. My family and I have two labs. I would love the opportunity to be able to take care of your loved one while you are away. I am home full time. I will do my best to make sure your dog feels like they are at home. I understand how nerve-racking leaving your pet with someone else can be. I will do everything possible to help ease your mind while they stay with me. We have a fenced-in backyard and two labs that love to play. The dogs are never left outside unattended. We have crates available if needed for when someone is not home.
“This was the best experience I have had on this app, Damian was incredible even gave my girl a bath. Sent me all the pictures and videos I could ask for . It truly was a great experience I will definitely be using him again .”

“Jessica was very caring, thorough, and a great communicator in coordinating caring for my pup, Ella, at her home. Once I met her and baby Chevy and her sweet kitty, I was at ease and so was Ella. I knew she would be in great hands, and she was! Throughout the day Jessica provided plenty of updates and lots of great photos. I really appreciated that and felt confident my dog was safe and having a wonderful day. I am so glad I reached out! She was very flexible and kind and Ella can’t wait to see her and baby Chevy again. Highly recommend Jessica for anyone looking for a fantastic pet sitter! Thank you, Jessica!”

“Michelle and Dustin were really nice. They took a very good care of my dogs and sent a lot of cute pics throughout the day. They took them to a dog park, played fetch and even cuddled with them. I have a doberman and a golden retriever and they are very high energy dogs. Michelle and Dustin went above and beyond and made sure my puppies got enough exercise throughout the day. Dogs looked very happy when I picked them up. I will definitely use their services again in the future.”
About: I’m a dog breeder with over 10 years experience. Over the years of having my own pets I found making others happy by breeding my beautiful poodles and finding homes for her babies very rewarding. I have experience with house sitting dog sitting ,hosting, dog walking and some grooming. Since my poodles have passed on I decided to adopt 3 female cockapoo dogs. I also think this would be a great way to spend time with other people’s family members and give them the security of knowing there loved ones are in good hands. I’m very dependable and can pass a background check . I would love the opportunity to care for your baby. Please feel free to contact me to set up a time to meet your furry family member or members. I look forward to meeting you all very soon. I’m semi retired and have 2 female cockapoo’s My girls love play dates and so do I . So in my spare time I love to help others with their fur baby care while they’re away. I love to walk my girls around my neighborhood at least twice a day if not more, and I’m sure your baby will love it also. Plus having my girls to play with 💕

“We were pleased that she was so accommodating on short notice to take go care of Beau on the very next day after we found her. Her flexibility about pick-up time was helpful because we were going to St Augustine for the day and we wanted to be flexible about what we might end up doing.”

About: Vet assistant for 5+ years throughout NY, Aspiring vet tech taking classes online, Experienced dog walker and was an in home pet sitter prior to moving to FL. I have 4 cats. (My Chihuahua recently passed due to heart failure) I love all animals and am comfortable handling any size or shape. I prefer friendly animals (of course!) But I have dealt with aggressive dogs and succeeded in gaining their trust and building a great relationship with them. - I was the only walker, besides the business owner, who could tend to the Australian Shepherd. After figuring out how to leash him, once we got outside of his house he was a huge mush! We would picnic and exchange kisses (picture included in my photos)! As for cats... I owned an aggressive, biting cat. I don't think I could experience a worse cat. Without warning she attacked me and bit my hands, arms, and legs.. after medication with our vet she continued to live with us without incident until she passed from cancer in 2019. I love cats and would gladly check in on your cats and home while you are away: clean litter boxes, feed cats, play with them, etc. Kittens are welcome to stay at my home, but I feel adult cats would be more comfortable at their own home. I will no doubt treat your pet like my own furry family member. I can be home 99% of the time but whenever I do need to leave my husband works from home, so your pet will never be completely alone. I have a fenced in yard and live on a fairly quiet street. To ensure animals, including my own, don't get out, we typically only go through the garage so no risk of animals running out the front door.

About: I have fostered and worked with rescues in Canada when I lived there. I have also been a cat and dog mom for the last 26 years. I have potty trained and fostered puppies and abused animals from different situations. I am comfortable with administering medicine as well as insulin shots. I own my own home and can sit in my home or yours. When your fur babies are in my home they have full access to the entire home as well as yard. They can sleep in my room with me or if preferred in the living room. I love to drive so I can also pick up or go to appointments if needed. I am retired and have all the time in the world right now to do what makes me smile! That means being an amazing loving dog and cat sitter. I get up every morning take the dogs to the dog park or a good walk We go to the beach and go on trails exploring After a fun day we usually chill out when it’s especially hot and then have a nightly walk before heading to bed. I treat my dogs like family and if in my home they will have the house as they feel comfortable. If I am in your home I will follow any instructions left to insure that they are comfortable and consistent. I own my own home and have 2 fur babies of my own. A 15 year old bichon and an 8 year old cockapoo. If your animals come to my home they will be treated just like my own family. I am available for 24 hour care as well if needed for long periods of time. I do not crate my dogs they have free run of my home and furniture.

About: I own large and small dogs and love working with all breeds. Have any behavioral issues? I like to work on those too when taking care of dogs. I retired 15 years too early, a good thing but have plenty of time available to care of your best friend. Would love to meet and greet with your pup. In my home your dog becomes part of our family, in your home I want them to feel just as comfortable when you are not there.

“This was my first time leaving my boy Nikko with Deborah and I am so happy to have found a new sitter here in Palm coast! Top knotch and they adore my little man!! I am so happy. Thank you Deborah!!!!!”

About: New to Rover! I got my first dog, a Golden Retriever named Tigger when I was 8. My first job was at my hometown’s veterinary clinic. I’ve been a veterinary assistant, shelter worker, and large volume doggy daycare and boarding facility worker. I treat your pups like my own (maybe a little extra spoiled!). I have plenty of experience with animal behavior and specific medical needs. I’m a full time pet sitter and do part time work gardening and planting, but am self employed so am never gone for longer than 3-4 hours, and many days am home full time. Whatever your dog is used to at home (being crated, being on the bed or couch, a certain blanket, feeding times) I will do here in my home to keep them feeling as cozy as possible. I give lots of individual attention and one on one time. There are baby pools in my fully fenced backyard for them to cool off in and I have a doggy door, so they can go in and out freely. I’m home very close to full time, so the dogs are my life! I pick up gardening jobs here and there, but my life revolves around pet care. Getting up to feed them is the first step in my own routine, along with coffee. I have a 3 bedroom house with a fully fenced yard and a dog door. Dogs allowed on all furniture! I treat your home better than my own, lol.

“I booked with Arianna for doggy day care today. What a great experience!! Arianna was fantastic, and Mookie was as well. I received pictures and video from the visit and Junior was exhausted when I picked him up! He had such a great time! Just an all around great experience, and I will definitely be booking with Arianna again soon.”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
