“Amazing service! My dog loved you right away. I’m so glad you were available to walk him while we were out. It put a lot of ease on my mind. This was my first rover experience and it was super great!! Thank you so very much ♥️?”

“Lillian was wonderful! We needed someone right away due to a medical emergency, and she came the the very next morning. We hired her for 2 weeks; she was always on-time and was able to walk both of the dogs together (the way they are used to.) We will definitely call her first if we ever need help again.”
“Stacy has been very patient with our french bulldogs. They can be a lot of work at times. Stacy was wonderful with them when we were gone for 1 week. They were actually calmer and more well behaved when we returned. She is great with them and they love her! Thank you Stacy!!”

About: I've worked in animal care as well as house sitting for neighbors and friends. I've cared for chickens, rabbits, ferrets, geckos, boxer breeds, other dogs, and cats. I also have 2 cats of my own. Fully available on weekends, during the weekdays I have a second job and it would appreciated with getting about a week notice instead of 3 days Making sure they stay on their schedule feedings if there are any, giving the pets all my attention for play times as well as potty times.
“Kataryna was the best. We booked day before but she jumped right in and walked our Rio for us 3 times. Sent an update and pictures. She was the best! Great communication and super nice! Highly recommend. If we were local we would use her all of the time!”

About: I've owned animals ever since I was born, including cats, dogs, hamsters, rats, and birds. I jokingly say I was raised by cats. I have been pet sitting for neighbors and friends since I was ten. Outside of that, I regularly volunteer at animal shelters and rescues. I've studied positive reinforcement for training animals. I adore animals. I currently live with a former street cat and a hyperactive Australian Cattle dog. I pride myself on flexiblty and providing the best care for animals. I'm able to drop in any time during the week and weekend. I can visit multiple times a day. I strive for at minimum 30 minutes of walking for dogs. I will take time to bond with animals with plenty of praise and affection to make the animals comfortably around me. I've own many rescue animals and know that some animals need extra patience and kindness to warm up to people.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs of all sizes and have always been involved in their daily care. I currently have three dogs of my own, so I’m very familiar with feeding, walking, and keeping up with routines. I also have experience caring for dogs with medical needs and giving medication when needed. I’m flexible, reliable, and genuinely enjoy spending my free time with animals, so I’m excited to make pet care a consistent part of my routine. I make it a priority to be responsive and dependable so pets get steady attention, exercise, and companionship when their owners are away. For drop-in visits and dog walks, I care for pets in the comfort of their own home and familiar surroundings so they can stay relaxed and happy. I always follow each owner’s instructions closely, whether that’s feeding, giving medication, or sticking to their pet’s normal routine. On walks, I prioritize safety while making sure dogs get plenty of exercise and enrichment. I’m attentive, patient, and enjoy getting to know each pet’s personality so they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for every visit.

About: New to rover! Not new to pet sitting! Recently got a house so growing my pet sitting career so trying out rover and am excited! About myself and my background- Katie provides trusted pet care throughout Volusia and Flagler Counties. She has been a lifelong animal lover with a dream rooted in the Florida lifestyle. Growing up in New York City, she spent school breaks in Ponce Inlet, where she fell in love with the Florida lifestyle and envisioned a future surrounded by pets, sunshine, and the ocean. Her journey with animals began early, working at a veterinary clinic in Hopewell, NJ, gaining hands-on experience in animal health and care. She later worked at St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center, where she developed a deep passion for rescue animals—especially Pit Bulls and senior dogs—and gained experience in training and behavior. After moving to Florida in 2013, Katie continued working in professional dog care settings while fostering and volunteering for rescue organizations. Now based beachside in Ormond Beach, she has created a safe, loving home environment for pets, complete with a fully fenced yard. Katie proudly serves pet owners across Volusia and Flagler Counties, offering: In-home boarding Pet sitting visits Drop-in walks (or runs!) Companion care From Chihuahuas to Rottweilers, shy seniors to high-energy pups, Katie treats every pet like family. She believes pets deserve personalized care, attention, and fun—and yes, probably a nickname and a song made just for them. We wake up around 7am and go to bed around 10pm, so I ask no drop offs or pick ups after 10pm nor before 7am. I am a homebody and an animal lover! I’m always home in my garden, outside in the shade, cleaning up at home. I work part time (2 days a week) caring for an elderly woman. I’m basically always home with them other than that. I incorporate them into everything I do and am always talking to them, singing to them. They’re part of the family! I have a fully fenced and secure yard. I have an extra bedroom as well. I have tons of space outside that is shaded. Dogs are welcome to lounge on the couch or bed just as they’re welcome to play like maniacs outside or relax in the sun or shade. I do have crates if your dog is used to being crated at certain times. If not, they will never be inside a crate. I do watch dogs of all breeds, ages, and sizes. With my experience, it works and dogs naturally know to play with someone their own size, or leave a dog alone if they are older/smaller and don’t have the same play style. However, I understand some small dog owners are uncomfortable with their littles around bigs, or their seniors around the young pups. If you’re not comfortable with your dog around younger or larger dogs, or certain breeds, we may not be for you, and that’s okay!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
