About: Ever since i was a baby, animals have been a part of my life. My parents bought a dog just a few months before i was born, so it has always been natural to me to have a dog by side. My 1st job I started for myself at 10 years old was my own dog walking service, and I would have easily done it for free! As an adult i have always had a cat and a dog in my home and I am currently the dog dad to 1 furry friend and I am currently working on obtaining my dog behaviorist license My schedule is flexible to accommodate those whose work life doesn't allow them to give their pet the optimal care and attention they would like to I have a fenced in yard and easy access to the outside. My neighborhood has ample natural space to allow for walking play time and training

About: At nine, I had my first pet cat, a female Siamese. Throughout my life, I was blessed for the opportunity to have 8 more pet cats, including calico, angora, gray stripe, Persian, orange stripe, Siamese, and gray tuxedo. One of my hobbies is going to cat shows. I’m a retired schoolteacher with tons of free time. Schedules don’t get any more adjustable than mine! I do like my hour in the gym each day, although willing to skip if need be. I have a quiet, cozy studio apartment with two rooms, living room/kitchenette and bedroom. Also one bath. I have huge windows that take up an entire wall.

“Katherine was so good with our dog Fergus! She gave such good details on his behavior and how he did on his walks. Being a puppy still in training, it was good for us to know how he did while we were away from him and had Katherine walk him for a few days. She really went above and beyond our expectations by cleaning up a mess that our dog caused after eating a couple books while we were away! Thanks Katherine!”

Pet care makes up the majority of my day so just reach out a few days in advance and I should be able to fit you into my schedule At a client’s home we will typically discuss what the needs are as far as security and saftey concerns to watch out for ahead of time and devise a schedule for care throughout the day

I absolutely love dogs and have had dogs for most of my life. I volunteer at the Humane Society, helping to walk the dogs and clean out the kennels. I have a very flexible work from home job, so during the week I am available to do morning, lunch, and afternoon drop-ins & walks. “Ally is kind and energetic, asks the right questions, and passionate about pets. She provided comprehensive dog-walking services and care for my Maltese. I felt very comfortable knowing she was there. Will certainly be requesting her help in the future!”

About: I’ve always grown up around dogs and have had dogs throughout my childhood and from that have learned how to take care of them and their needs throughout the years. Since getting a puppy about 2 years ago, I’ve learned a lot from that and how to properly take care of them and their craziness! I am going into my sophomore year of college and have until late august to care for dogs! I am available usually at any time of day! My one dog is very old and likes to be left alone and not be bothered most of the time and the other one is very hyperactive and hasn’t had much experience with other dogs due to that fact but I have no problem caring for your dogs in your home and making sure they are well taken care of there!

About: I have been the happy sibling to Marley, a precious pug who lived to be 19 years of age. His hibernation-like lifestyle may have contributed to his long, happy life, but I think my care was definitely a factor too. During the pandemic, I finally got a copilot of my own. Earl Grey is a small chi-weenie rescue who has been such a light in my life. Dogs really bring me such joy and I would love to offer care to pups in my free time. I am a respectful, responsible, and hard-working individual. I have been pet-sitting for my friends and family for years, and would be more than happy to continue this work. I am very comfortable with all dogs. I'm also familiar with several training strategies so will not disrupt your dog's training. I do warn you though I may try to teach them to high five. 🙃 I’m currently working park time while I prepare for my phD studies next year. I’ll have plenty of time to walk and play with your pups. While my current housing does not permit me to do boarding. I’m happy to commute to a client’s home to take care of their pet. I do take my dog to dog parks for socializing quite often and gladly offer this for all pup owners too.

Oreland dog parents share their Rover experiences
We’re so grateful to Carolyn for stepping in on short notice while our regular walker was unavailable. She was kind, communicative, and very patient with our foster dog, who is still adjusting to new people and environments. Although he had a fearful reaction, she handled the situation calmly and respectfully, which we really appreciated. It was clear she has a great way with animals and a lot of compassion. Thank you again for being so understanding and giving it a try :)

We booked with her last minute. She treated our dogs as her own. She followed instructions so well! She was friendly, prompt, and responsive. She sent the best photos and video. She had to troubleshoot an issue with one of our dogs and did it expertly!! Will book again!

We were a little hesitant about getting a dog walker for our girl because she gets spooked when strangers get in our house. We know most people need one meet and greet but we ended up doing multiple visits with pet parents present so that our girl could get comfortable with the idea of having someone new coming into the house. Reed was able to gain her trust very quickly! She takes great care of her and is very communicative with us. Our pup is also somewhat reactive to other dogs so we were concerned about that as well, but Reed is able to handle her very well. We’re all very happy with her and we strongly recommend her if you need someone patient, reliable and trustworthy to help you take care of your fur baby 🐾 Thank you Reed!!

Anthony was great! He came on time, took our girl for a nice long walk and even played with her a bit to let her get some extra energy out. He reached out before to see if we had any preferences for the walk and he refreshed her water bowl, we will use him again.
