“It was such a peace of mind knowing my pups were cared for over the weekend while Jenna checked in on them. She sent me pictures and messaged me with any updates. I will definitely book with her in the future!”
“Jamie did a great job taking care of our cats while we were away. She didn't hesitate to ask questions when she wasn't clear on a few things, which is a great quality I like in people! We will be asking for her again!”

“Trish was great with our puppy. After the initial meet and greet, we were very comfortable having Trish come to our house and care for our puppy. She is clearly an animal lover. Her communication is excellent. She also sent us pictures and an overview of how things went during each visit. We are looking forward to having Trish care for Betty again.”

About: Hello, my name is Jessie. I am an experienced animal care provider who is extremely excited to meet your babies! I have worked at dog daycare, pet boarding and grooming facilities for 10 years and have taken care of animals of all types! I have always been a pet owner and lover. I have experience with puppies and kittens as well as senior pets, animals with behavioral issues and with medical needs. In 2021 I graduated from Canisius College with a degree in Animal Behavior, Ecology and Conservation. During my time at Canisius, I completed an internship at the Erie County SPCA in the wildlife department; where I helped to care for many different exotic and wild animals. I have also taken classes for and have experience with dog grooming. I currently have a shetland sheepdog, a rottweiler, a miniature poodle and two cats who are my entire world. I am mostly available during the evenings on weekdays and all day on weekends. Regardless of this, I’m always able to provide your pets with wonderful care. I do work during the week but will be able to stay with your pets over night and check on them during lunch break and back again after work. If you have any specific questions, feel free to contact me at any time! When I am not at work- I’m pretty much always home! I have plenty of time give your babies all the love and care they need! I will always provide your pets with as much love and care as you would! I will follow all instructions to a tee as far as their feedings and other needs. Whether it’s frequent potty breaks or a specific way they like to eat their dinner; you can rest assure that they will be cared for to the highest standard.

“Alyssa was so amazing with my fur babies. She sent daily photos and was extremely communicative. Also cleaned up behind them when they were being a bit naughty (knocked over plants lol) Ultimately, I came home to a clean litter box and extremely happy kittens. I am certain they will miss her and I intend to rebook with Alyssa in the future.”

“Colleen did an amazing job watching our Phoebe. Communication was excellent, she provided great updates and pictures and went above and beyond to care for our dog. She played with her and her various toys and kept her engaged while we were away. I can’t express the benefit that such a peace of mind provided us. We looking forward to working with her again. Thank you, Colleen!”

About: Hi! My name is Sophia and I have a lot of experience with dogs and other pets. I own a 9 year old golden retriever and 3 cats. I have pet sit in my neighborhood plenty of times for families needing last minute assistance! Let me assist you with your pet needs! I’m currently on my summer break from college! I am in the Orchard Park/Buffalo area. I’m looking for some extra side hustles while taking online courses :) With my own dog, I take him on many walks since he recently had a surgery. More walks are crucial for his recovery! I feed him 3-4 times a day depending on how hungry he is. Water bowl is never empty.

About: I grew up with a dog until I was 18 (Westie - Minnie) and then after college was adopted by a wonderful rescue sphynx (PyeWacket). Over then next 20 or so years I have had 4 sphyx cats (PyeWacket, Forty Two, Tesla and Cairo) and 1 Lyikoi (Cypher). Over the last year my house has had 4 puppies (from 8 weeks), 2 turtles, 2 Guinea pigs, 2 full size dogs 6 cats and multiple fish. I also often house sit for a very smart chihuahua named Mazie. Currently in between jobs so my schedule is fairly open. Like early and late walks due to the heat but open for anything. Open to late night feedings if needed. I treat your animals like they were my own. Love to play, hang out and what ever your little one needs. Need to make sure they know they are loved.
“Mary is wonderful! My pup was so happy to meet her and she handled him perfectly (he’s a bit of a tank and can knock you down if you’re not paying attention) Mary was perfectly comfortable with him and I left feeling assured my furry best friend was in good hands.”

“This is the third time having Jenny watch our dogs and she truly goes above and beyond with them. She sent us great updates with pictures/ videos which makes us feel better about leaving the dogs at home while on vacation. Thank you Jenny!”

About: I’ve grown up caring for dogs, cats, lizards, and hamsters! Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I truly adore pets of all kinds. Whether they’re energetic, shy, scaly, fluffy, or somewhere in between, I treat every animal like my own best friend. I work remotely, which gives me a very flexible morning schedule and the ability to create my own hours. I love spending as much time as possible with the animals, making sure they feel loved, stay active and engaged through play, and are always safe and well cared for. I live in an apartment complex, so I generally take my dog out every few hours so he can get his exercise, use the bathroom, and enjoy the outdoors. I do the same with those I’m sitting for!
“Jonathan did an excellent job looking after my cat and keeping him company while I was away on vacation. Very responsive, and provided detailed updates. Would recommend any time.”

About: Over the years, I have owned 11 cats and 4 dogs, not to mention hamsters, guinea pigs and birds. I have always loved animals, and have a gentle approach to care as I think often our pets are scared enough when their owners need to be away. I enjoy trying to ease their fears or stressors, and getting their licks and purrs in return. I am recently retired and generally have a flexible schedule, depending on whether I'm traveling or not. Usually I'm able to work with your schedule. I believe in play and exercise as a way to ease the stress of owners being gone. But of course I listen to my clients and maintain whatever routine they think works for their pet. They know best. With my own dog, we walk twice a day and play occasional games in between (but she is an older chihuahua mix and mostly wants to sit by my side and take naps!). I lost my latest cat last year, but my daughter has a two year old kitty who LOVES to jump, run and play and it's so fun to see what he can get into!
“It was so reassuring to know my dog was in such good hands while I was away! Caitlin gave detailed daily updates and was flexible around some unexpected tummy trouble. I highly recommend working with Caitlin!”

About: I am experienced with all types of dogs with various health conditions. I've had three family dogs that lived until 14 years old and I currently have a 5-year old Malti-Poo with separation anxiety. She has a ton of energy and can not be left alone, so I am excited to give your dog plenty of attention, exercise, and never leave them alone. I currently work from home part-time, so I have plenty of free time to spend with your dogs! Since my dog has separation anxiety and cannot be left alone, that means your dog won't be either. They'll be safe and comfortable in my care. I have a private backyard for quick potty breaks and exercise and will take them on a long walk at least once per day around the neighborhood. I have plenty of different treats and toys, from snuffle mats to puzzles, chew toys, squeaky toys, and more.
About: I’ve lived with cats and dogs ever since I could remember! I’ve been pet sitting for my family and friends since I was around 14-15 years old. Some of the pets I’ve previously pet sit include senior dogs, cats of all ages, rodents, fish, and even reptiles. I am comfortable with all sorts of animals, mammals or not. I always aim to treat every single animal with the upmost respect, and as much love and care as I can possibly give them! Some of my special skill include: - giving oral medication - mixing special meals - basic/light dog training - clipping medium-tempered cats nails - caring for aquariums if necessary - basic care for reptiles and rodents - basic cat and dog grooming (brushing, spot cleaning, etc) . I’m currently working part time, so I have a good amount of time for your animals. I’m available for late night drop ins (9:30pm-11:00pm) if needed/preferred, and depending on my shift schedule I can pop in during the morning or afternoon. My goal is to cause as little stress as possible for your animals while they are in my care. I like to introduce myself and give your pets time to warm up to me and get comfortable during the service. I try to follow their usual routine during feeding, walks, etc.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Orchard Park
Rachael was great. I booked a drop-in and she arrived right on time and fed and played with Jimbo. When she met him the first time, she took notes about his behavior and commands. He was having digestive issues and she sent me a note about this. Very satisfied and will use her again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
