“Jess is professional and reliable. Five stars, no question about it. We trust her in our home and with our dogs, cats, ducks and chickens. She is a top choice when we travel.”

About: I’ve taken care of, rehomed and have rehabbed dogs for quite a few years. I’ve taken in special needs dogs, and dogs that have had behavioral problems and have worked with them to reach their full potential. I love watching my family and friends animals and give them all of the comfort and loving they need. Oh, and also all of the snuggles! I believe in being able to read a dogs body language to make sure that they can be as comfortable as can be! I enjoy walking dogs and letting them sniff as much as they want for mental stimulation and to make sure they can be physically fit as much as possible. I’m currently working per diem at a nursing home. I’m looking to take up another job that I absolutely adore to fit into my schedule! I love to have a detailed list of the dogs needs and wants. I’m comfortable with crating animals and giving them positive rewards for good behavior! It’s all about positive reinforcement! I love to make sure your animal is as well taken care of as possible. I’m okay with using a few different tools for walking dogs as well.
“Alyssa did a great job checking in on my dog while I was away for a conference! My dog is usually very shy around strangers and tends to hide, but she was patient and gentle with him. She even got him to go out and potty. She sent photos and updates every visit, which gave me great peace of mind. I really appreciated her care and communication, and I’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Tracy is the best! She is reliable, responsive and easy to work with. My foster dog was having a lot of trouble with barrier frustration which scared others off but she worked with him to make it work and ended up turning his whole experience around on days I had to go into the office.”

“This was Michelle’s first drop-in visit with my pups, and she did a great job! She sent pictures and updates throughout, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. I’ll definitely be using Michelle again for our November vacation, as I feel completely comfortable leaving my pups in her care. I’ve also met her dogs, and you can tell they are truly loved and well cared for. That speaks volumes about the level of care and attention you can expect from Michelle. I highly recommend her!”

“This was the second time I have used Barb and Rover. My dogs needs have evolved and Barb adapted well to the increased complexity needed to care for my dogs. I feel confident that I can rely upon her again when I need to.”

“Our cat, Chumley, took to Madison right away. She has a wonderful kind and loving energy. We felt very comfortable having Madison come into our home while we were away. Madison sent us the cutest picture of Chumley while visiting with him. We are very pleased with her service and highly recommend her! Thank you Madison!!!”

“Elizabeth is capable and friendly, and easy to communicate with. She clearly knows how to care for animals, and my two dogs and cat took to her right away. I feel secure in leaving my pets in her care.”

About: Hi! I have always loved animals, and have grown up with dogs and cats all my life! I moved to Collins in 2024 to a property with 30 acres of mostly wooded land with a dog kennel, cat house and barn! The property has a huge area for dogs to run and play. We are working on repairing a huge fenced in area right now, so we would walk around the property on a leash always. I have woods and trails on my property that I love to take walks through. Your pet and I will have so much fun together, I like to be very active and really enjoy hiking and playing with my dog. My playful dog would also love a friend to play with! I am starting a career in pet grooming in about a month, and I would love to gain experience working with animals professionally. I am very interested in learning about dog behavior and training. I have one dog, a 1.5 year old German Shepherd mix, two cats, and two goats. I've had senior dogs in my family before so I have experience with dogs of all ages! I would love the chance to take care of your animal for you and to take care of anything and everything that they would need to feel comfortable, safe and loved. I understand that patience is key when taking care of an animal! I have open availability until Aug 10. After that I will adjust my availability and I should have week nights, Sat night and Sun available. I will take care of your home, make sure I follow your directions, follow any rules in your household, and have utmost respect of your home. If boarding at my home, I will make sure your pet gets plenty of one-on-one time walking, hiking, playing, training and cuddling. I will give your pet the time, patience and love that they deserve!

We have a trail through the woods to walk around as well. I have a 5 acre property with no neighbors, I also did house sitting in NYC so I follow whatever instructions are needed to make your pet as comfortable as possible.
“Mackenzie did a fabulous job caring for my shy kitty, Penny Lane. I was quite nervous leaving her for nearly two weeks, but she warmed up to Mackenzie quickly and got lots of playtime and good interaction every day. Mackenzie shared lots of photos and left the house in good order for my arrival home. I'd highly recommend Mackenzie as a pet sitter.”

My schedule is very flexible and open, so I can easily fit in walks, drop-ins, or overnight stays whenever needed. I plan around each pet’s routine. About: I love dogs and like to walk dogs to earn some extra money for my household. I had a male Australian Shepherd named Gonzo who passed away 3 years ago when he was 10 years old. He was pretty big for his breed weighing in around 70lbs so I can handle big dogs. I took Gonzo to training classes which honestly trained me more than it trained him so I feel pretty confident in my dog handling skills. Gonzo had a fear of people which lead him to nip at people. We worked hard working with him to help him overcome this fear as best as we could. I think this experience has taught me a lot about reading a dogs emotions and catching signals before a bad situations appears. I now have a 2 year old mini aussie who we rescued named Betsy. We had to work with her to help her with her fear. She is finally in a place where she can comfortably encounter people and approach with no fear. Betsy gets a little excited around other dogs she's not allowed to approach but she is making excellent progress. Just like with Gonzo, we are socializing Betsy and training to give her confidence. A dog should be able to go on walks carefree and with a feeling of safety. I feel that a dog needs a confident yet a friendly companion while taking walks and I can provide just that. My schedule is a little sporadic so I dont have a set schedule and usually do one-off jobs since I can't guarantee a consistent commitment due to my odd schedule. I typically care for pets at their home. Depending on how your pet is around other animals and pets, I would consider taking care of your pet or pets at my own home. I have one dog, two cats, and a bearded dragon.
“Natalie has been an amazing help for me and my wife whenever we go out of town. She is super caring and takes the time to make sure everything is well taken care. Our two cats love her and always look forward to it when she comes over to take care of them. Highly recommend Natalie!”

About: I absolutely love dogs. My wife's family has always had dogs. They currently have a German Shepard and a chocolate lab. I absolutely adore them. I have a large fenced in yard, I am also very flexible to come and sit anytime you need. I love taking dogs for a walk and I love playing with them at the park especially fetch! I am very reliable and safe and come from a dog family. I will love and care for your dog like I it is my own. My children are now in middle school and high school and they love dogs as well. I can provide loving and affection for your dog and care for it like it was my own. I hope to hear from you soon Taking care of a pet just becomes part of my everyday flow. You feed them, take them out or clean up after them, and make time to play or cuddle a bit. Most days involve quick things like feeding and walks, while once a week you might do a deeper clean or grooming. It’s not too hard once you get into a rhythm—it just becomes routine. I make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for, whether they’re in my home or a client’s. That includes feeding them on schedule, giving them fresh water, and making time for walks, play, or snuggles—whatever they need to feel happy and relaxed. I stick to their usual routine as much as possible to keep things familiar. If I’m in a client’s home, I also make sure everything stays clean and tidy, and I always send updates so they know their pet is doing great. I also have a fenced in yard.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
