“Hi Everyone my name is Tonka! Woof! I'm 9 and a really fun girl. I love to lounge and eat, yeah, yummy eating anything!!! But don't get me wrong I love to play. I was a little shy at first but snapped out of it fast because Dana and Jeremy took really excellent care if me, belly rubs, letting me on their stuff, and setting up a king size doggie bed for me to watch all the happenings outside the window, Woof!. And they have a great huge awesome fenced in yard to keep me safe but allow me to play! And Jeremy plowed me a path but who needs that, I love to barrel and tunnel right though the snow. Even with my short little legs. Bathroom time and play time combined. It was great. Woof! Oh well they did listen very well to my mom's instructions for feeding. Ho hum, grr, well I like to eat, but they kept me to my feedings and treats allowance. I couldn't pull one over on them. Come on a girl needs to try. Woof! Well that's it for now. About: I’ve taken care of many different dogs over the years and have worked at PetSmart as a pets hotel associate. I have two dogs (10 and 3 years old). I’ve also owned four cats and babysat family and friends pets before! I am home all day so I am fully available to provide care to pets. About: I have raised two dogs (one large bread and one small bread) both from puppy to 16 & 17yrs old. I have had three cats (one still residing with me). Currently I dog sit two fur babies since 2020. In a week I am losing one of my buddies due to his parents relocating. I am already missing him and am hoping to make some new walking and cuddling partners. I work part time on weekends but can sit with advanced notice. Monday til Wednesday I am available for anytime on shorter notice. When I have your furry sweetheart I do not leave them by themselves at all,so I like to schedule when there is nothing to conflict with the time I have them. When in my house they have no restrictions from me, only what the parent wants. I have an outside bathroom area on leash for quick bathroom trips. I like to go for at least one or two long walks per day, weather permitting and your dogs abilities. I live in a walkable neighborhood and close to parks. When at your house I will follow whatever routine your partner is used to.
About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember and have been pet-sitting since age 10 for family, friends, and neighbors. I have almost always lived with at least one cat or dog (or both!) throughout my life. I also have experience caring for rabbits, ferrets, gerbils, fish, parakeets, bearded dragons, and cockatiels. I currently live with two indoor tortoiseshell cats who are comfortable with dogs, and one of my cats is leash-trained. I have raised and trained at least 11 dogs from puppies to adulthood (3 as my own and the others for my parents). Most of my cats I adopted as teenagers, but I have raised a few kittens from a young age. I have done extensive dog training with the 3 dogs I raised as my own in the past, and I am familiar with both dog and cat training techniques. I live in a cabin the woods in Boston, NY, on a power line gravel road. Although I do not have a fenced in back yard, your dog will enjoy going on leashed walks down the power line road multiple times per day! I earn a living through a mix of substitute teaching (summer starts June 25th!), remote research and writing gigs, tutoring, child care, and pet care. I have a flexible schedule and incorporate pet care into the mix as much as possible because I love animals. If I am boarding a dog at my home, I will not be house sitting at that time (and vice versa). While boarding or house sitting, I will consider dog walking and drop-ins depending on the needs of the client and driving distance. If you board your dog at my home, my cats and I wake up early (about 6am) and I like to go outside for a walk down the power line road right away, and then eat breakfast. Your dog will be able to spend time with me all day (on a leash when we are outside), and if I need to leave my house, they will be in their crate for no more than 4 hours (2 is my strong preference). We will go for at least one more walk before dinner, too. I will be sure to give them plenty of play time and exercise throughout the day (depending on their level of activity and how hot it is outside). No matter what, they will get a lot of love and attention! I live in a cabin in the woods in the Town of Boston, NY, so although I do not have a fenced-in yard, there is very little traffic or people around. I will be able to go on long leashed walks with your dog down the power line for exercise, and there are a few friendly neighbor dogs that would love to say hello if your dog is up for that. I do live with two cats: one of them will hide a lot while your dog is here, but the other is very dog-friendly and will want to interact with your dog. I will monitor and separate them as needed (I have a spare room). I have always crate-trained my dogs and so long as your dog is comfortable in their crate, I will use it as a safe place for them to be while they are staying with me.

About: I used to dog walk a couple dogs. Then I moved onto horses. So I know I can handle the hardest canines. They’re fun to have around. I’m working but also just thinking about doing this instead. Work gets boring and this wouldn’t. I love animals and they tend to love me back. I have a giant yard. They can’t be off leash but we can have fun running in the grass. About: It's Summertime!!! Bring your Pupp-a-ccinos and PuppCorn for a sleeprover to talk about. We just got a new doggie pool for the heat, and have a pop up agility course to play in. About: I’ve had a dog all my life. I adopted my most recent pup about 2 years ago and he’s a happy pooch. We walk three times a day and visit our nearby park regularly. He gets his yearly shots and monthly nail trimmings. I am the go-to choice to sit my friends’ pups, and have senior dog and puppy experience. I work from home, so can keep an eye on the pups and play with them regularly. I currently walk my own dog three times a day, visit the nearby park (Harlem rd park) after work most days, and visit Knox Farms dog park once or twice a month in the summer. I have a small yard 90% enclosed, so walk dogs regularly. There are friendly neighborhood dogs that we can interact with. I work from home, so play with the pups often. I promptly clean up accidents, if they do happen. I do not smoke and our house does not have animal smells. It is carpeted and we have a big sectional that animals can lounge on. We have a cat that has high safe places he can go to. I reward good behavior with praise and an occasional treat. Bad behavior is met with a stern “No”, but we have not had to break that voice out lately!

Also have an above ground pool that your pup can swim in with my help if they like to. During the school year I am out of the house Mon-Fri from 7-4 so I can take dogs for boarding on Friday's starting at 4 or after. My favorite thing is to be home with my dogs on the weekend so most likely the shortest amount of time your pup(s) will be home without a human is 2-4 hours max. When I am home, the dogs are my first priority, with many walks, brushing, massage and pampering included in each visit! If your pup needs a bath and is well-behaved in the tub, I'd love to freshen them up! (I do not cut nails). All of my pups are on flea and tick prevention year round. Please reach out if you have any questions! I am home all day during the summer months so I can watch your pup 24/7! I have older pups who love to chill and a younger golden who loves to run around and play so whatever kind of dog you have they should fit right in. No aggressive dogs please! I am home 24/7 when watching your pup. I have a huge fenced in yard for them to play and a nice indoor area as well. Our dogs are allowed on furniture and prefer it over their expensive dog beds lol.

About: I have been working with dogs since I was in 6th grade. I trained my childhood dog through a 4H program and we completed at the county fair each year in Obedience and Rally. Now I have a rescue who over the past 4 years we've helped work through a lot of reactivity and she now is an active participant in Rally competitions and other classes. As a teacher my summer is wide open for walks and drop in visits. Once the school year starts after school and weekends are open. I'm very comfortable with dogs of various sizes and needs. About: I have been pet sitting for about 15 years, everything from quick play dates to extended stays lasting over a month. I've worked with a variety of dogs including a 13-year old 4 pound chihuahua, a vizla that required 5 or more hours of solid exercise a day, a 160 pound mastiff that thought he was a lap dog, and a very scared dalmatian/husky/german shepherd mix that needed some serious work on social interations. I've dealt with skunk attacks, bee stings, an intestinal blockage and various types of aggression. I AM NOT CURRENTLY ABLE TO STAY OVERNIGHT DURING SITTINGS. I KEPT IT IN MY PROFILE BECAUSE IT IS LESS EXPENSIVE THAN BOOKING MULTIPLE DROP-INS At the end of last year I ended up taking in 3 Doberman puppies that I had dog sat for regularly. I was able to find a home of one of them but the other two are still with me. Because of this I am not able to do extended stays that require me to be gone overnight or dogs that cannot be left alone for a few hours due to separation anxiety or medical reasons. But if your dog is friendly please consider boarding! I currently work from home with flexible hours most of the time. My schedule is very accommodating and I love being able to take advantage of nice weather or last minute requests. The yard where I am is NOT fenced in, but it is very large with several acres of wooded area in the back. For dogs that need to stay on leash there is a long tie out and plenty of walks. I never let the dogs play outside without supervision. There are two other friendly dogs on the property (in addition to my own 2) and two dogs next-door that come over to play all the time. So we have our own mini, well-mannered, well-socialized dog park.

About: Over the years, I have owned 11 cats and 4 dogs, not to mention hamsters, guinea pigs and birds. I have always loved animals, and have a gentle approach to care as I think often our pets are scared enough when their owners need to be away. I enjoy trying to ease their fears or stressors, and getting their licks and purrs in return. I am recently retired and generally have a flexible schedule, depending on whether I'm traveling or not. Usually I'm able to work with your schedule. I believe in play and exercise as a way to ease the stress of owners being gone. But of course I listen to my clients and maintain whatever routine they think works for their pet. They know best. With my own dog, we walk twice a day and play occasional games in between (but she is an older chihuahua mix and mostly wants to sit by my side and take naps!). I lost my latest cat last year, but my daughter has a two year old kitty who LOVES to jump, run and play and it's so fun to see what he can get into!

About: I love dogs and had one for 17 years! Our good boy recently crossed the rainbow bridge and we miss him so much. I have experience with young dogs, but also with senior dogs I am currently available during the day every weekday, so whether it’s an early morning or late afternoon walk, I can be there no problem! I treat every dog like my own and give them as long as a walk as they prefer or as many pets as they desire!

About: I’ve been dog and cat sitting (all different breeds) for friends and family over the past couple years, either in their home or my own. I am a figure skating and hockey coach. This requires me to be at the rink for 3-4 hours a day, generally in the afternoon/early evening. All of the office work that I do for it can be completed from home. I have a cat in my own home. If I’m ever to have dogs there, I put him downstairs with his litter box and food so that we don’t have to worry about the pets not getting along.

About: I have always loved taking care of animals! I started my first job at a dog daycare when I was 16 and worked there for 5 years until I had to move away for college. I am currently working a full time job, but miss taking care of animals and would like to fit some time in whenever I can help! “Hi Everyone my name is Tonka! Woof! I'm 9 and a really fun girl. I love to lounge and eat, yeah, yummy eating anything!!! But don't get me wrong I love to play. I was a little shy at first but snapped out of it fast because Dana and Jeremy took really excellent care if me, belly rubs, letting me on their stuff, and setting up a king size doggie bed for me to watch all the happenings outside the window, Woof!. And they have a great huge awesome fenced in yard to keep me safe but allow me to play! And Jeremy plowed me a path but who needs that, I love to barrel and tunnel right though the snow. Even with my short little legs. Bathroom time and play time combined. It was great. Woof! Oh well they did listen very well to my mom's instructions for feeding. Ho hum, grr, well I like to eat, but they kept me to my feedings and treats allowance. I couldn't pull one over on them. Come on a girl needs to try. Woof! Well that's it for now. About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember and have been pet-sitting since age 10 for family, friends, and neighbors. I have almost always lived with at least one cat or dog (or both!) throughout my life. I also have experience caring for rabbits, ferrets, gerbils, fish, parakeets, bearded dragons, and cockatiels. I currently live with two indoor tortoiseshell cats who are comfortable with dogs, and one of my cats is leash-trained. I have raised and trained at least 11 dogs from puppies to adulthood (3 as my own and the others for my parents). Most of my cats I adopted as teenagers, but I have raised a few kittens from a young age. I have done extensive dog training with the 3 dogs I raised as my own in the past, and I am familiar with both dog and cat training techniques. I live in a cabin the woods in Boston, NY, on a power line gravel road. Although I do not have a fenced in back yard, your dog will enjoy going on leashed walks down the power line road multiple times per day! I earn a living through a mix of substitute teaching (summer starts June 25th!), remote research and writing gigs, tutoring, child care, and pet care. I have a flexible schedule and incorporate pet care into the mix as much as possible because I love animals. If I am boarding a dog at my home, I will not be house sitting at that time (and vice versa). While boarding or house sitting, I will consider dog walking and drop-ins depending on the needs of the client and driving distance. If you board your dog at my home, my cats and I wake up early (about 6am) and I like to go outside for a walk down the power line road right away, and then eat breakfast. Your dog will be able to spend time with me all day (on a leash when we are outside), and if I need to leave my house, they will be in their crate for no more than 4 hours (2 is my strong preference). We will go for at least one more walk before dinner, too. I will be sure to give them plenty of play time and exercise throughout the day (depending on their level of activity and how hot it is outside). No matter what, they will get a lot of love and attention! I live in a cabin in the woods in the Town of Boston, NY, so although I do not have a fenced-in yard, there is very little traffic or people around. I will be able to go on long leashed walks with your dog down the power line for exercise, and there are a few friendly neighbor dogs that would love to say hello if your dog is up for that. I do live with two cats: one of them will hide a lot while your dog is here, but the other is very dog-friendly and will want to interact with your dog. I will monitor and separate them as needed (I have a spare room). I have always crate-trained my dogs and so long as your dog is comfortable in their crate, I will use it as a safe place for them to be while they are staying with me.
