About: I grew up on a farm in Cambria/Lockport, NY and have been surrounded by animals my entire life. Caring for animals has never been a job to me, it’s just how I was raised. Growing up, I helped care for 50 baby calves, 2 horses, 18 cats, 8 dogs, a miniature goat, and over 1,000 exotic birds and parrots since my mom was an exotic bird breeder. I’m comfortable with dogs and cats of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels, including senior pets, shy pets, and high energy dogs. About: I've always had a passion for animals since I was very little. I was never able to have them of my own growing up because my dad was highly allergic. Once I graduated high school I moved out and rescued my first dog from a backyard breeder. He was a Pit-bull mix. 4 months later I rescued my golden saint from a hoarding situation which ended up in all of her animals getting taken away. I realized I wanted to help save more animals so I ended up becoming a foster mom. My first foster was a 7 year old Rottweiler named Sabrina. I only had her a short 3 months before I was told she had a stomach tumor that was not curable. I unfortunately made the decision to get her cremated and the last words I said to her was " I promise I will save as many animals like you as I possibly can." I kept that promise to her after 8 years already and plan to for many many more! Fast forward to today, i suddenly lost my soul dog in January 2026 but still have my golden saint and a Catahoula Leopard dog. He was my first foster fail 6 years ago. I wanted to extend my experience even more so now I pet sit/dog walk as well! I am experienced with senior dogs, puppies, aggressive dogs as well as dogs with high anxiety I have taken care of all sorts of animals such as hamsters, Guinea pigs, birds, snakes, miniature pigs, and of course cats and dogs! I treat every animal like my own and I guarantee I will become their best friend! My goal is to eventually own a building and name it in Sabrina's memory:) I am available for in home stays in your own home, overnights, drop ins, and dog walks on week days and weekends. About: I have been able to take care of animals (dogs and cats) since age 5 as I had pets throughout my whole life. I have also briefly owned horses building the skillset of hygiene care for larger animals. I absolutely love dogs. About: Hi, I'm Sarah, your local full-time petsitter! I've been a volunteer at a no-kill animal shelter since 2013. I've handled animals of every size and disposition with love and care in my time volunteering. I've been pet sitting independently since 2017, starting with a household of nine amazing fur and feather babies . I've worked with senior animals and those with special needs, caring for their unique physical and emotional needs when their parents are away. I've had practice giving medications orally, in-ear, subcutaneous injections, and am capable of following detailed instructions. I've been pet sitting through Rover since 2020, and I've also photographed pets professionally for several years, having worked with many different types of animals with patience and care. Since early 2020, I have made petsitting my full time career. I typically take one client at a time in order to provide the best care possible for animals that may struggle with separation anxiety or have set routines that their parents would prefer they keep while away. When I take a job caring for an animal, they become my priority. When I sit for a client in their home, their pet's environment, I dedicate the utmost respect to privacy and personal space. It's my job to care for an animal and I do that by observing their behavior, fulfilling their needs, and offering affection to the degree they are comfortable with; whether that's waiting for a shy animal to come to me for a sniff or to be pet, or an animal which has no concept of personal space at all (not an issue for me, I love cuddlers!). As for your home, I love to have a tour during meet and greets and get to know what rooms are accessible to me as a guest. I am very respectful of other people's homes and belongings and will always ask first if there's something I can't find or unplanned that I need to access during my stay. I pride myself on being trustworthy and tidy.
