Sweetie needed encouragement to eat so I looked to Rover.com to find someone who could come in at noon to freshen up Sweetie’s food. Marcia got back to me right away, dropped by to meet us and get a key and, while I was away, sent me photos and videos of my cat taken when she came by to feed her! The first report I received was a photo of Sweetie’s empty food dish from breakfast plus a video of her heartily eating her lunch, which showed me that we were on the right track! About: I was raised with a Swiss mountain dog for an older sister, and became her caretaker in later years. I’ve had dogs in my life ever since, and have learned the right mix of patience, attention, and love that it takes to give them the life they deserve! As a recent college grad who moved away from home, I dearly miss my own dog and would love to meet yours ❤️ As a Duke grad, I now work at the Duke Campus Farm as a communications fellow. My days end early, and a large percentage of work can be done remotely while watching your pup. As someone who has dealt with their fair share of naughty pets, I can keep a watchful eye on your dog in or out of the house and crate as needed.

About: I couldn't imagine my life without animals. My mom bred labs when I was a kid and I have always lived in a house with dogs. I worked in a vet for a while I was in high school where I walked, fed, cleaned up after, and provided medications to dogs visiting or boarding. I have also been the go-to pet sitter for family and friends for years. I’m always available by phone. I am also more than willing to send pictures or texts to pet parents that would like them. I currently work full time Monday through Friday in a remote capacity and on site as needed, but I’m lucky enough to have a lot of flexibility. I have always treated pets as part of the family and think that all animals should be treated with compassion. I also believe that positive reinforcement is the most effective training method and that you can always teach an old dog new tricks.

About: Hey, my name is Tiffani! I've been taking care of my own pets since I was about ten years old. Along with that, I have been pet sitting for family, friends, and neighbors for about the same amount of time. I currently have two dogs, Draco and Rhino, who are both pitbulls, so I have experience caring for big dogs. Although I do not currently have a cat, I have experience caring for cats and kittens and would be thrilled to take care of your furry friend. I will provide a wide variety of services, including walks/potty breaks, feeding, playtime, administering medication if needed, and overnight in-home sitting. I am also happy to help with basic grooming, such as brushing and keeping your pet’s area tidy. As for my availability, I am in college and work part-time, but my schedule is still very flexible. That means I can stop in for quick visits, hang out for longer play sessions, or even stay overnight if your pet needs extra company. While I am currently in school, working part-time, and volunteering at an animal sanctuary each week, I am very comfortable managing a busy schedule. In addition to caring for my own pets, feeding, walking, playing, and of course, cuddling, I am more than happy to fit your pets into my routine. Whether your pet needs an hour-long walk or overnight care, I am flexible and prepared to accommodate their needs. My dogs get along very well, even though they were introduced to each other a few years apart. However, they must be fed separately to prevent any fights or food stealing. I also have experience caring for dogs who cannot be in the same space together. Because of this, I am fully capable of handling specific care requests, whether that means feeding pets separately or maintaining a safe distance between them for their safety.

About: I've been working with dogs since childhood - my parents raised Pekingese & Dobermans. Even at 8 years old, I helped mama dogs birth their pups. My schoolmates thought it was gross, most adults thought it was weird, but I thought it was super cool to be a part of bringing life into the world through adorable little squeaking pups. Even though we were very ethical & loving with our pups, many backyard breeders are not, so I no longer agree with that. But as an adult, I fell in love with rescues & adopted a few over the years. Then I decided I wanted to be more involved with Rescues. So... I became a Foster Parent, assisted Black Dog Rescue, & was an integral part of Cooper's Companions Animal Rescue in Colorado before moving to NC. I usually ended up fostering "unadoptable" dogs & working with them extensively until they became adoptable. Then I followed up with their new pet parents to help ensure success & making it stick. My specialty is working with fearful dogs, teaching pet owners how to get the behavior they want from their pet, stopping jumping on people, food possessiveness, leash training, & training dogs to walk on a treadmill. We have 2 little dogs who had a big 'sister' for many years, so all size dogs are welcome; Both of our pups are super dog-friendly. One of them loves to play with other dogs after she gets to know them, and the other will play sometimes, but can be a bit of a snob. We want all dogs to enjoy staying with us, but... we won't tolerate a 'truly' aggressive dog in our home. My dogs might initially bark at other dogs, but they don't attack other dogs, so should either of my dogs be attacked or if a human is bitten, the offender will be separated & crated inside, or placed in our separately fenced kennel area outside (if you prefer) for the remainder of their stay. Any issues will be discussed with the dog owner to establish their preference in this regard. Otherwise, we'll shower your fur baby with love & attention so you won't have to worry about them when you're away. Please note: *** Going forward, we will only board *female* dogs & they must be spayed. We stopped accepting male dogs in our home because the hiking of legs is problematic. *** If they are not spayed, I will be happy to do drop in care, but we will not be able to host in our own home. --- I require a meetup with dogs & their owners before actually accepting a booking. If you are unable to do this, I'm unable to take care of your fur babies. --- I work from home, so my availability is fairly open unless we're on vacation or if in the event that I have to go on a business trip. _____________________________________________________________________________ *** Important Note*** Doggie Day Care is for "up to 9 hours" each stay. If you need care for more than 9 hours, please schedule it as a boarding. Just let me know it's for an extended hours stay in a message. Otherwise, for requested stays exceeding 9 hours, I will send you a modification request changing it from 'day care' to the status of 'boarding' which costs more. If I have to send you a modification request & you don't want to pay a boarding fee for time exceeding 9 hours, you may choose to decline the change & it will never actually be booked with me. However, in this instance, you will need to find another sitter. Thank you for understanding... We have a fenced in yard for your pup to play in. The previous home owners put in a separate fenced kennel, so that's an available option in case you prefer your dog to be separated. It's unusual, but some people do prefer that. We almost never use it, though.

About: Pet sitting was one of the first jobs I ever took up. Along with my family being a pet owner household, I’ve taken care of many family members pets and also friends of family pets. I am a reoccurring pet sitter with almost everyone I’ve helped before. I’m currently a full time college student, but my classes only take up so much of my time. I have classes on Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 10am-11am. In October, I will start a new class on Tuesday/Thursday from 1pm-4pm. If I’m requested to stay in the home, I will move whatever I need to do to fit comfortably around me keeping your pet company. It’s my responsibility to meet the needs of the owner and their pet!
