“Carla was wonderful with our dog and cat. Our elderly cat, Ellie, was in her final stages of life, but we felt comfortable leaving her with Carla, who updated us daily, or more, on her declining health. Unfortunately, we said goodbye to Ellie the day we got home. But, we're glad she was with such a caring person her final week of life. We would enthusiastically recommend Carla as your pet sitter.”

“Naomi watched our pup for 3 nights and he had a blast. She did a great job keeping him company and taking him on some fun walks, plus she sent wonderful daily updates. I highly recommend!”

“Erin did an amazing job with my fur babies. Would absolutely book her again! My house was clean and she washed bedding! She also did a lot of shoveling snow while we were away! So appreciative of all she did!”

“Sarah was exceptional. Sending us daily reports on our pups and making sure they had excellent care. Also, house sitting for us alleviated stress for us being away. The pups were very good with her. She won them all over.”

“Jason did a great job looking after my Tucker and Trixie. Even suffered through my pestering him as this was the first time I've used a service like this with a smile. I was nervous. Lol. Would definitely use Jason again.”

About: I have worked in the veterinary field for about 3 years. I went to school and became a Certified Veterinary Assistant. I am also Pet CPR Certifed. I have my own pet/house sitting business and offer feline grooming! I work full time but am able to pet sit every night, on weekends and do checks on pets during the day, sometimes multiple times a day. Your pets will get lots of play time, go on walks, and get lots of attention. I do like to relax with them and just hang out as well, depending on the pet.

“Our dog Charlie is very shy and takes time to warm up to people. He loves Atlas. We know he is very well taken care of while we are gone. Our flight was delayed and she came back the next day to take care of him until we got home. She even cleaned up before she left. We are so grateful for her!”

“Caroline and Kurt were great!! We came home to happy pups and a clean house. They were great at communicating, asking questions, and sending pictures. We never had to worry if our pups/house were in good hands. Will definitely be using them again in the future and would highly recommend!!”

“Melissa was a great house and pet sitter for a long weekend. Excellent communication in advance. Treated both our house and pets with great care. Will definitely use her again for future get-aways.”

“Nate did a great job watching our pup for the weekend. Crockett had a great time, we had good communication with Nate, and received updates when expected. I highly recommend him!”

About: I have taken care of dogs all my life. As a child-teen, I helped bring puppies to the vet every year, as well as bathing them, playing with them, and watching them. I’ve been paid to take care of multiple dogs and I volunteered in the Waterville Humane Society as an adolescent. I have lots of freedom and flexibility in my schedule. I am available all day Monday-Saturday and am willing to provide overnight care as well. I make sure that dogs in my home are fed and watered according to their normal schedule, walked, bathed when necessary, played with, and paid attention to.

“Haley was awesome! She took care of our puppy and cat for a week. They were both so happy! She gave them so much attention and kept us informed while we were away. When we came home the house was spotless! Our pets were relaxed and you could tell she spent a great deal of time with them to keep them entertained. We will definitely hire Haley again!”

“Alexis is a wonderful cat sitter! She is professional and sent photos of our cats during her visit. We will continue to have her come by when we need a cat sitter.”

About: I've had two dogs my whole life and I've been expected to feed them since I was 10. My family has trusted me to take care of their pets while they were away and for a little, over a year, I've been taking care of a neighbor's elder greyhound, including walking, feeding, letting it out, and picking up after it. I'm currently a sophomore at my college which is in Aurora, NY, which means I'm strictly able to do dog walking and house sitting during the summer months or breaks from school when I'm visiting my parents in Maine. During the summer, I'd prefer to walk in the morning before it gets hot, but I can walk in the afternoon if that works better for people. I'm able to do dog walking and house sitting, but I can't have other animals at my house because my dogs tend me reactive toward other animals and people, especially other dogs that are on their property. I'm very willing to walk dogs, big or small, near a client's home or at a place nearby. I'm willing to drive if the dog has a typical walking route. I'm very flexible, especially if it makes the dog more comfortable. I've also walked and grown up around Berenese Mountain Dogs, so I know how to handle every dog breed, since I've grown up with dogs as small as Boston Terriers and as big as Great Danes and St. Bernards.

About: Highlight: I am experienced with aggressive and reactive animals! Note: I am very flexible with pricing. If my rates seem too high, feel free to reach out anyway and I'll be happy to see see what we can work out. 😊 I have had animals in my home and life as long as I can remember. I have cared for countless dogs, cats, and small animals. At one point in my life I had seven dogs and a number of other pets. Animal care and rescue is my greatest passion. I am skilled at handling dogs and other animals of all ages, sizes, and temperments. I have worked with aggressive and reactive dogs and have experience deescalating conflicts when they arise. I am more than happy to care for any kind of animals- not just dogs and cats. My own current pets are two dogs and four cats. I also have experience caring for small animals, various poultry and livestock, and horses. When I was 15 years old I started occasionally farm/house sitting for a family with dogs, horses, and a cat, and caring for all of the animals there during my stay. With them I have worked daytime hours as well as overnight stays for a few days at a time so they could take trips out of state. In my adult life I have branched out, first with Rover a few years ago, and then with expanding farther into launching my private pet care business at the beginning of 2024 while still maintaining my presence on Rover. My client base is steadily growing and I am excited to see where this venture takes me! I am reliable and committed to providing excellent service for my clients. If you want a pet caretaker you can count on who will treat your animals as well as their own, I'm your gal! I work part time as a BHP and I try to be as flexible as possible. My schedule changes depending on the time of year. Currently I work with my human client from 7:15 am - 8:15am and 2:30pm - 5:30pm on weekdays and am off on weekends. I take care of animal clients all days of the week. Please message me and I'll do my best to work something out. I take utmost care to keep animals in my care safe and properly contained. I make sure to follow whatever rules and structures are in place for the animals to ensure their safety. Pets are always leashed inside before heading for a walk and the leash isn't unclipped until we are back inside with a closed door. I am vigilant in looking out for potential risks (e.g. other animals, cars, bad things they could eat, etc) and making sure to give them a wide berth. In my own home I have any small animals carefully segregated into rooms that predator animals don't go into. Anytime I leave the room, I do a check and verify that all predators are outside the door so nobody can get hurt. I monitor the dog around the cats to make sure all interactions are safe. I have utlized crates and baby gates when necessary to keep animals safely contained and/or separated in the past. I am skilled at containing flight risk animals and watching out for their safety.

About: I have had dogs and cats most of my life. I also have a year of experience with dog sitting 3 dogs who needed extra care including medications. I know that not all dogs have the same needs and am well versed in caring for them. Will be happy to hear from you and meet your puppies, dogs and any other type of animal you might need cared for :) I'm currently working from home so and have great flexibility with when and where I work. So just keep that in mind when booking :) I can dog walk, feed animals, administer medications, and I do provide overnight care if necessary. Whatever the needs are I am happy to accommodate! I work from home throughout the week so my schedule lends to be super flexible and have most my days open to changing if necessary I am open to however you may desire your dog/ cat to be taken care of as far as if leashed, fenced in, or safety collar.
