About: I have dog sat for 2 families, cat sat for two families, reptile sat, and generally animal sat for a few families. Animals are my happy place. I strive for the animals I take care of to be entertained, fed, walked, and most importantly loved. I am currently working part-time over the summer, while looking for an English teaching position (high school preferably). I have graduated college from the University of Maine at Farmington with a bachelors in Education. I find I am passionate about the things I strive to achieve and work for. About: I've had two dogs my whole life and I've been expected to feed them since I was 10. My family has trusted me to take care of their pets while they were away and for a little, over a year, I've been taking care of a neighbor's elder greyhound, including walking, feeding, letting it out, and picking up after it. I'm currently a sophomore at my college which is in Aurora, NY, which means I'm strictly able to do dog walking and house sitting during the summer months or breaks from school when I'm visiting my parents in Maine. During the summer, I'd prefer to walk in the morning before it gets hot, but I can walk in the afternoon if that works better for people. I'm able to do dog walking and house sitting, but I can't have other animals at my house because my dogs tend me reactive toward other animals and people, especially other dogs that are on their property. I'm very willing to walk dogs, big or small, near a client's home or at a place nearby. I'm willing to drive if the dog has a typical walking route. I'm very flexible, especially if it makes the dog more comfortable. I've also walked and grown up around Berenese Mountain Dogs, so I know how to handle every dog breed, since I've grown up with dogs as small as Boston Terriers and as big as Great Danes and St. Bernards.

About: I'm a genuine dog lover! I've always trained my dogs on basic tricks and commands.I'm aware that dogs have their own personalities, fears, and strengths. I work part-time. I have a flexible schedule. I'm open to having dogs in my house throughout the week and some weekends, if needed, and also just walks. I don't have a fenced yard. However, I will be with them out in my yard to assure a safe environment. I'll take them hiking or for walks around my area. They are welcome inside my house to sleep and rest.

I have cared for countless dogs, cats, and small animals. At one point in my life I had seven dogs and a number of other pets. Animal care and rescue is my greatest passion. I am skilled at handling dogs and other animals of all ages, sizes, and temperments. I have worked with aggressive and reactive dogs and have experience deescalating conflicts when they arise. I am more than happy to care for any kind of animals- not just dogs and cats. My own current pets are two dogs and four cats. I also have experience caring for small animals, various poultry and livestock, and horses. When I was 15 years old I started occasionally farm/house sitting for a family with dogs, horses, and a cat, and caring for all of the animals there during my stay. With them I have worked daytime hours as well as overnight stays for a few days at a time so they could take trips out of state. In my adult life I have branched out, first with Rover a few years ago, and then with expanding farther into launching my private pet care business at the beginning of 2024 while still maintaining my presence on Rover. My schedule changes depending on the time of year. Currently I work with my human client from 7:15 am - 8:15am and 2:30pm - 5:30pm on weekdays and am off on weekends. I take care of animal clients all days of the week. Please message me and I'll do my best to work something out. I take utmost care to keep animals in my care safe and properly contained. I make sure to follow whatever rules and structures are in place for the animals to ensure their safety. Pets are always leashed inside before heading for a walk and the leash isn't unclipped until we are back inside with a closed door. I am vigilant in looking out for potential risks (e.g. other animals, cars, bad things they could eat, etc) and making sure to give them a wide berth. In my own home I have any small animals carefully segregated into rooms that predator animals don't go into. Anytime I leave the room, I do a check and verify that all predators are outside the door so nobody can get hurt. I monitor the dog around the cats to make sure all interactions are safe. I have utlized crates and baby gates when necessary to keep animals safely contained and/or separated in the past. I am skilled at containing flight risk animals and watching out for their safety.

About: I have owned and taken care of dogs almost all of my life, I have experience with puppies and old dogs. I have a large private property with a long dirt road for long walks, and a fenced in front yard . Dogs really love it here. I am a retired school teacher with lots of energy and time to spend with your furry family member. There is plenty of love and fun times to be shared here, I have 23 acres for long walks, a fenced in front yard and a lake to swim and chase balls. I also have a large deck for drying off before coming inside. Your dog will love it here!

About: I absolutely love all types of doggies and I’m an avid jogger and love to get outside and get exercise. I’m very respectful and kind. You won’t be disappointed hiring me. I’m available during the week between the hours of 8 and 3. Those hours can vary and sometimes I might be available outside of those hours We live on 20 acres on the lake and our neighbors are not close so it’s nice to get outside in the property and play fetch or go run around

About: I’ve been around animal my whole life, including larger/more difficult to handle dogs. My amazing labrador Lincoln is around 105 lbs and VERY energetic (we call him a wolf), which has greatly helped my experience with larger dogs. I’ve also gone through puppy training and sitting, so I can handle dogs of all different temperaments! I cannot wait to meet your furry best friend!! I’m currently a student at the University of North Florida, seeking a part time job of dog walking. This is along with my other job as a bartender. I don’t offer pet sitting as I am currently living in the dorms at the University of North Florida for the Fall Semester full time.
