Now live in a super comfortable house in Lake Oswego with 1 dog, 1 cat and 2 kids under five. I work full time from home so am flexible with when I can visit or board a pet. Plenty of time to walk your animal or spend time with them while we hang inside. I have 2 large patios for lounging and live on a quiet street, which is perfect for taking a long walk. When we go on trips we go into wilderness areas with no reception, so it can be a little nerve wracking to leave our four cats in a stranger's care, but after meeting Kristen and after seeing how she took care of our cat crew, we were able to truly enjoy our vacation. Anyone who knows cats know they need more than someone who just puts down food for them and checks their litter box. Every cat has a unique personality that requires attention and care. Kristen (and her husband Todd) took the time to get to know each of our cats and they really went above and beyond to make sure all the cats got attention and love while we were gone. We got a bunch of adorable photos and videos, and we always got detailed updates from each check in. Kristen also did all the classic cat sitter tasks perfectly, like making sure the water fountains were filled/clean, vacuumed the cat food mat area, and even cleaned up our catio area more than we asked her to. When we came home, she had stopped by several hours before and the cat food was perfectly prepared for the cats, the kitchen was spotless, and the cats were super content. It was pretty fantastic coming home from a long trip to a house full of happy cats and clean litterboxes. I can't recommend her highly enough.”

About: I have grown up with cats and dogs, two dogs and 4 cats over my lifetime. Both outdoor indoor pets and I am very active with them. Pets need love and support from us as much as we need it from them. I spent three years volunteering at the Oregon zoo working with animals. I am flexible and creative, easily adapting to pet's needs. I am also patient and calm with them. I have loved animals since I was a kid. I refused to hit a piñata at a party because it was animal shaped. I will love your pets as if they are my own. I am always happiest when I am around pets. I work from home on a salaried basis, so my schedule is flexible. Especially from early morning until 3pm. I can do quick drop ins and/or long stays if they need a little interaction. I pay attention to location of plants, making sure they are out of reach and not a hazard to pets. I make sure all toys left out are safe, not too small to chock on. Making sure toys don't have anything to tangle up with. I'll watch to make sure pets don't eat too fast and get sick.

About: I am a huge animal lover! I have a dog (a labradoodle) and have been pet/house sitting for friends and neighbors since elementary school. I have cared for a wide variety of dogs, including both large and small breeds, high-energy dogs, and puppies. I have experience with basic obedience training and giving medications. I have also taken care of cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, and chickens, and am always excited to meet new animal friends! As a recent college graduate, my schedule is very flexible, so I have a lot of time to devote to caring for your furry friends. I prioritize maintaining your pet's typical daily routines, and check-in with them frequently.
