About: I have taken care of pets since I was 10 years old, including family pet care, professional pet care and personal pet care. I am experienced in dog walking, dog boarding, in home pet sitting and diabetic pets/sick pets. I have reliable transportation and am available at all times to give your pet the care they need! I am committed to being available at all times including weekends and evenings. Caring for animals is something I genuinely love, so it doesn’t feel like a task, it’s something I intentionally build into my schedule to make sure pets are happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I care for pets as if they were my own. I pay close attention to their individual routines, personalities, and needs, whether they’re in my home or a client’s home. This includes making sure they’re fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of exercise, and receive lots of affection and attention. I love animals, so I genuinely enjoy spending time with them, playing, going for walks, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable. I also keep a close eye on their behavior and health, and I follow any specific instructions the owner provides to ensure their pet feels happy and well cared for while they’re away. As a diabetic dog owner myself I am committed to giving your pet the best care I can!

About: I've been caring for cats since l was about about 6 or 7 years old. After I lost my oldest cat Sailym at 17, I've decided I wanted to continue helping others with their pets while they travel and give them a peace of mind like I had during my trips to Spain in college. The past few years I have dedicated some of my free time to help a few family and friends with their other dogs and cats while they take long travels at a country. I currently work full time but am free throughout the entire weekend which is why I prefer cats. I am able to stay overnight at places as long as I can commute to and from my own office as well as drop by my house to see my cats too. My house are currently has one to two dedicated rooms just for pets that includes cat trees, extra litter boxes and places to play, as well as toys. This allows an easy transition if they need to be separated from my own animals or they need some time to decompress.

Kendall was great with our dogs! We were able to book with her last minute on the same day, which was super helpful as our trip was last minute. She took great care of our dogs and sent pics for each visit. She even bought our puppy a toy which was super sweet of her to do. I would definitely book with her again!

About: While I don't have formal experience, I've spent my whole life taking care of pets at home. I've even raised our current pups from puppies to adulthood, handling everything from feeding to playtime. My goal is to treat every pet like part of the family. I'm currently a college student down in Springfield, but whenever I'm back in town for breaks or summer, I will have a fairly flexible schedule! I'm available on the weekends, evenings, and soon to be during the weekdays as well! Every pet deserves the family treatment! I'm careful to follow their set routines and rules - whether it's playtime, feeding, or crate time. Your pet's safety always comes first!

Mya was fantastic. She stepped in at the drop of a hat to help us out after our previous sitter had gone MIA while we were out of town. Her communication was FANTASTIC - she was prompt, attentive, left detailed notes of her visits and sent so many photos! We were so grateful to her for not only her great care of our two pups, but also the level of responsiveness and care that we received from her. If we ever go out of town again, I will certainly contact Mya and would recommend her to anyone!!

About: Pets have been a part of my life my whole life. I've owned everything from dogs, cats, rodents, fish, and ferrets. In high school I spent all my extra time volunteering at Kansas City Ferret Rescue. We even ran some of the shelter out of our house for a while. Currently I own 2 pit bulls and boy do I love my bully breeds. I have Marvel who is 11 and hes my gentle giant. We adopted his mother and had her her whole life and kept him from a litter of puppies she had. We've been together since birth. I also have Alice and she is getting ready to turn 5, we adopted her at 8 weeks old from a neighbor. She's super energetic. I have LOTS of training in taking care of puppies. I also own a 13 year old black Maine coon cat. I adopted him from wayside waifs when he was a tiny 8 week old kitten. My pets are very loved and yours will be also! We will have lots of fun playing with toys, going on walks and all the belly rubs. I am currently a stay at home mom so I have plenty of time to spend with your babies while your away. There will be no hurry in my visits. I currently walk my dogs everyday. They are fed twice a day, morning and evening. We also play ball and Frisbee in our backyard. I will try to keep your pets schedule as close as I can to their current schedule with you.

About: Hello there! I'm so glad you found my profile! I am a life-long animal lover who has been drawing horses since I could hold a crayon, and I've been caring for all kinds of animals since I was a child. We had rabbits, guinea pigs, mice, cats, dogs, and horses at various times while I was growing up, and my childhood dream was to have lots of cats and lots of horses some day. Well I currently have 3 cats and 1 horse, so that's something! Haha. We also have two ducks and are planning to get more shortly. We've had as many as 5 at a time in the past. I've had pets of my own since my college days, and not surprisingly after having so many animals in my life, I ended up getting my degree in Animal Science! I also volunteered at the local Humane Society walking dogs while in college, and cared for pigs, poultry, horses, cows, and more rodents throughout my education. I also worked at a doggy daycare and boarding kennel for a time after college. These days my animal care is mostly directed at my own pets, but you can never have enough animals in your life in my opinion, and so here I am, ready to spoil your fur babies for you if you need! I currently work from home 3 days a week and am lucky enough to have a pretty flexible schedule during those days as well. That means I can take the time now and then to drop in and check on your pets for you if you need some extra help while you're away! Whenever I drop-in on your pets, I will stick to the routines you already have established for them at home to minimize any stress, so your pet will hardly be able to tell you're gone! But I will also definitely take the time to give them plenty of pets and play-time too, if that's something they would love! ^_^

Currently I have 6 dogs: 2 chocolate labs, 3 dachshunds, and a jack Russell. 4 of our dogs were adopted from other families and 2 were puppies when we got them. I will ensure that your dog is take care of, if there is an issue I am easily reachable and will help make the experience best for you. About: After over 25 years working in education, I took the leap and followed my passion to animal rescue. After volunteering for over 15 years in rescue, I've worked full time in the field. While most of my work is with cats, I do help with dogs as well. I love all cats (even the spicy ones) and have experience distributing meds, nail trims, etc. I also have a flexible schedule and can work with you to meet your floof's needs!! While I work full-time, I do set my own hours for the most part. So I am available to stop in both during the day and evenings. I live in Independence, but travel to Olathe for work and various locations around KC, so I can be flexible on locations as well! As the mom to 3 cats (Chunk, Pam, & Wink) and a foster mama to many more, I understand that the safety of your fu babies is the top priority. I promise to treat them like my own. I am very picky about who cat sits for me, so I understand the additional stress leaving town comes with. So rest assured they will be spoiled rotten!!

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs my entire life. My family frequently took in rescue pitbulls, so from a young age I learned how to train even the most stubborn animals. I began pet sitting for family/friends as a teenager. Many of the animals I took care of during this time were seniors, so I got quite a bit of experience in senior dog care. During college, I brought home a very energetic and very stubborn Cane Corso. I hired a professional trainer and learned many important tips on top of my already existing knowledge about dog training, which came in handy when I got a second corso. Throughout my life I’ve gained experience training puppies, taking care of senior pets, and caring for pets with diabetes and other chronic conditions. I’m currently PRN at my other job, so I can work my other job completely around the needs of your pet and what they’ll need while in my care. I have a fenced in yard and two bigger pups that are incredibly friendly and love having new dogs to play with. I also have a two year old daughter who is obsessed with animals, so needless to say your pet will not be spared any attention while in our home. Even if you’re not looking to board your pup, I have full availability to take care of your pet in the comfort of their own environment, and am willing to stop by as often as needed to make sure your pup gets all the care and attention needed while you’re away.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
