“BROOKE YOU ARE AMAZING!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I appreciate your pet-sitting services for my dog, Layla. Having used Rover many times before meeting you, I can honestly say you have been the best sitter I've had. I especially appreciate the regular updates with pictures and information about what Layla is doing. It really puts my mind at ease while I'm away. You're the best, and I will definitely recommend your services to others. I will also be using you again in the future. Thank you again for everything! Sincerely, Timothy”
“Dewey loved his stay with Elizabeth and Phillip. I am so thankful for the positive experience and prompt communication. I highly recommend their services.”
“Heather was the best! She sent me so many pictures and videos which made me feel assured that Charlie was well taken care of. And her dog, Remi, is so cute and sweet and playful.”
“Nissa took such wonderful care of our dogs! They had so much fun and I loved all the thoughtful updates while we were gone. I felt so much better knowing they were in great hands!”
“Amanda is great! My tiny and opinionated dog seems to get along with her dogs, and she's always very communicative and accomodating with drop-off/pick-up times. I know my dog will be well cared for and as unstressed as possible when I'm out of town. Very grateful for Amanda!”
“Jessica is amazing. When I picked Zeus up, all he wanted to do was sleep. It wasn't till the next day that he had any energy. I will definitely use her again in the future.”
“Tina was great with our dog! Sent pictures and updates of our pet every day. Super flexible with our times of drop off & pick up. Highly recommend and will definitely use again!”
“Elizabeth and her husband, Josh were excellent caretakers for our pup, Huxley. He was so well cared for and ready to nap from all the fun he had once he returned home. We will reach out to them again when we need care.”
“Crystal was Absolutely Amazing with our Geddy Lee!!! We were nervous about leaving him because he is still a puppy but Crystal and her entire family treated Geddy like one of their own!!! Geddy was able to run around and play with her dog in their fenced in back yard as much as he wanted!!! We received several pictures and/or videos with comments daily!!! Crystal was very informative and answered any questions we may have had about how Geddy was doing anytime we asked!!! My Husband and I went on vacation but in our opinion so did Geddy!!! We would not hesitate to book with Crystal again in the future hoping that she will be able to watch him again!!!!”
“Alexa was wonderful with our dogs. They came home smiling and seemed to really enjoy spending time with her and her dog. She was very good at communicating and sending picture updates. We will definitely use her again!”
“Amanda was amazing with our 4 year old Vizsla. She treated her like a queen and helped our anxious dog feel right at home. I will definitely use Amanda again and can’t recommend her enough.”
“Our dog had a fabulous stay with David and his family. They are experienced pet people and very friendly. Our year and a half year old Maltese had never been away from us before and he did great staying with David for a whole week. I definitely recommend him and I plan to use David again.”
“Renee and Gary did a great job. Goofus was not anxious on drop off at all. Renee and Gary welcomed her and made her feel at ease. I could tell by the frequent pictures that were sent. Goofus was enjoying herself Thanks for the great care and the treat you sent home. Goofus”
“Jamie, who goes by Lynn, was absolutely the perfect match for my dog. She is patient, kind and loving. She kept him the entire day and he was one happy dog when I picked him up. Lynn wanted to know all about him and any instructions for the day at drop off and she followed them perfectly. She has a fenced yard and they spent a lot of time out there. It is about a 20 minute drive for me and there are plenty of sitters closer, but I will continue to make the drive, because it doesn’t get any better than her.”
“Ebony was a good communicator, very kind w our dog and gave us a nice note and special treats at the end. She sent us a video of our dog the first night and was quick to answer our inquiries about how he was doing. We would use Ebony again and highly recommend her.”
“Reservé con Nelson el cuidado de mis mascotas por 7 días, realmente hizo un excelente trabajo, Kira y Linda fueron acogidas como suyas. Todos los días recibía fotos y vídeos de ambas donde se mostraban alegres. Gracias Nelson sin dudas volvería a contratarte para que cuides de mis mascotas.”
“Miller had the best time! Highly recommend Sean and his services. He gives updates and a peace of mind while you’re away! He truly enjoys spending time with your furry friends!”
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Norwood
Jared and Waverly took excellent care of our pup while we were away for a week on vacation. They were so responsive and flexible on everything. We got pics every day and it looks like she had a blast playing with other dogs while she was there. Would definitely book with them again!
We had such a great experience with Chris! Samson was well taken care of, and I’m convinced Chris has some kind of magic touch! Our boy normally barks at cars nonstop, but on the ride home, not ONE bark! Whatever Chris did, we need his secrets! 😂 10/10 would recommend and would happily book with him again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Norwood home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Norwood.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Norwood sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
