I love working for Rover, so I’m glad to be back! I am competent, thorough, communicative, responsible, punctual, respectful, honest, and have integrity. You can be assured that your pet(s) will be safe with me. I give periodic written updates with photos, I follow instructions carefully, I take attentive notes about your pet from your description and my own observations, I am focused and attentive when caring for your pet(s), and I respond promptly to messages. For pet sitting in your home, I am very tidy/respectful and will leave your home as clean as when I arrived, and I stay in only the designated area(s) and only touch what I need to (please show me where you keep cleaning supplies and your pets’ food or medications, etc.). I pick up after your pet and bring my own dog waste bags, leads, collapsible water bowl, and first aid kit, just in case. I pay attention to details, like the temperature (air/ground) being safe for walks. My preference is to suggest a “Meet-and-Greet” (whenever possible. I’m a transparent and thorough communicator, and I’ll let you know of any prior commitments that I may have during a house stay request. I also do real-time check-ins/updates, so you’ll always know how your pet is doing, what we’re up to, and when I am present and when I leave your home. My day-to-day work/school is remote and flexible, so I can choose my own hours and follow your pet’s daily routine (waking/sleeping/feeding, etc.), and give them lots of both active, attentive quality time (undivided attention playing with them, walking them, petting them, brushing them, caring for them, etc.) and hangout time (for example, sitting on the couch together). Whenever possible, I can take short-notice and same-day requests. I have evening classes most weekdays for ~2-4 hours, depending on the day, and occasional performances on weekends, but typically no other scheduling commitments from May to September annually. From September through May (9 months, Fall to Summer), I am unavailable Saturdays and some Fridays (mostly First Fridays) due to our performance schedule. For a healthy pet that can be safely left alone, I still always spend as much time with them as possible and only leave the house for meals (and/or can bring food) and/or class, an occasional errand, depending on how long the stay is. I arrive well-prepared to minimize the need to exit the home. I will discuss my availability and your pet's needs in detail before accepting a booking to be sure it is mutually a good fit. For any booking, your pet’s care and safety is my primary responsibility and I take my duty of supervision and care with the utmost seriousness (don’t worry, I’m also fun!). I also care deeply for their emotional well being, so while I have to be realistic about my own schedule and needs (my classes, the need to eat, etc.), I don’t leave them unattended or lonely for any longer than I have to. In your home or on a dog-walk, I will give your pet(s) my full attention to their safety, well-being, and happiness. I am consistent and committed to staying up to date on the latest behavioral and scientific/medical knowledge. I am thorough and I carefully follow directions and will ask for clarification if needed to ensure I am prepared for your pet's specific care. I am experienced and knowledgeable, and you can trust me in your home and with your precious pets. About: Over the past decade, I’ve spent much of my time caring for both dogs and cats for friends and family, and now for pets of my own. This care includes feeding, walking, play-time, and general quality time, all of which I love providing daily for my 2 year old golden retriever George 🦮. I’m a teacher looking for a fun and productive way to spend my summer break. I’d love to spend some of that time hanging out with your lovely pets! I’m currently a teacher with completely open availability for the upcoming summer break. Besides daily chores, I will not have much to do and so have completely open availability to care for your pets day and night. I have a large fenced yard with dog door access and a friendly 2-year old golden retriever to keep your dogs company. Crate access is also available if needed, I currently use a massive crate graded for dogs up to 140 lbs. I have one cat as well who prefers to hang out in my bedroom, so he can be easily separated to give your dog space if necessary. Cat litter and food are kept seperate and out of reach from any dogs should they be interested.

My work schedule is generally a standard 8:30 AM–4:30 PM, but because of the flexibility of my position, I’m able to provide plenty of attention, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. Outside of work, I naturally spend a lot of my free time hiking, exploring nature, or relaxing at home, which makes it easy to give pets both activity and quality downtime. I’m also someone who plans ahead and takes reliability seriously. In the event of an emergency, I have wonderful neighbors nearby (my sister lives next door!) who can assist if needed, so your pet will always be well cared for and looked after. I care for every pet like they’re my own and focus on creating a safe, calm, and loving environment. I live in an apartment community on the second floor with no balcony, which helps create a secure space for pets. My apartment also has large windows with lots of natural light, and there’s a park very close by with plenty of grass and space for walks and outdoor time. I currently have no kids or other pets, so if your animal prefers being the only pet or doesn’t get along well with others, that’s absolutely not a problem. I also have some basic dog training experience and truly believe in following the owner’s instructions closely so your pet’s routine, comfort, and boundaries stay consistent. Crate or no crate, as long as they are potty trained in general - we are good to go!
