My 3-year-old Czech working line German Shepherd has taught me how to read animal behavior, meet dogs where they are, and keep them mentally and physically engaged. We've worked with a professional trainer and I'm always learning more about canine behavior and instincts. My cat Mavia has been with me for 5 years, so your feline family is just as welcome. Here's what every drop-in visit looks like: I show up, follow your pet's routine, and handle whatever they need,feeding, potty breaks, playtime, or just some calm company. I pay attention to their mood and energy, not just the checklist. Before I leave, you'll get a photo update so you're never left wondering how they're doing. Your pet's comfort and your peace of mind are the whole point. Pet care is a natural part of my daily rhythm. I block out midday hours specifically for visits, so I'm never rushing in and out. Your pet gets my full attention during the visit, not a distracted five minutes between other obligations. When I'm in your home, I treat it with the same care and respect I'd want for my own. I follow your instructions exactly, feeding schedules, routines, restricted areas, all of it. I'm also comfortable administering pet medications if needed. You'll always get a photo update before I leave so you know everything went smoothly.

About: I've been told by friends who have dogs, that the relationship I've built with their babes is one based on respect. That is because I am someone who is observant, and looks for the right cues before attempting to step into their comfort zone. Which is why when I'm asked to care for their pets, they can trust that I am there to look after them and care for their boundaries. That is also true when it comes to following their pet's routines and habits that are established, as well as having an understanding of their personalities. Every pet is different, it just takes a little time and patience to understand them. I do work from home two days out of the week, Monday through Friday. However, the remote days are flexible, and the rest of the week I am on the field conducting home visits for patients. Therefore whether you need me to house sit, for a day or two I can adjust my schedule to meet that, as long as I have enough notice. Or if you just need me to stop by for a potty break or a walk, I can add it to my route of visits. On weekends, I am available within reason. I am flexible, and I can do my best to accommodate your needs. It just takes a conversation and some planning. In my home, I do have four babes. One dog and three cats. I do have routines for them when it comes to meal times, and potty breaks. For Nani, my dog. She has her breakfast around the same time every morning, which is usually after I am done getting ready for work. Then soon after she finishes her breakfast, she cues me for a potty walk. We go around the block and she does her business and comes back home to a treat and some play before I go to make my breakfast. For my cats, Chachi, Mizu, and Jojo. They get their breakfast right before I take Nani out for her walk, that way they can eat peacefully and take their time without Nani wagging her tail at them. For the rest of the day, If I am working from home Nani gets a mid day walk around our grassy area at home, but usually in the summer she prefers to stay inside. The cats, I do tend to take mental breaks from my laptop, so one of the things I do is play with them with their string and give them a lil catnip for them to relax. Dinner time is a bit more relaxed, the cats have an auto feeder so their dinner serves at 6pm and for Nani, she gets her dinner, and then she cues me for a walk. Usually my husband and I alternate when following these routines, so in the case I'm out pet sitting, I am grateful that my husband will be able to take care of our babies while I care for yours. That is the way I care for my pets, based on their needs. I am big on routines, because that is how I've raised them to be. However every household has different lifestyles and understanding that is important when choosing to care for someone else's pet's.

My experience extends beyond just owning pets; I've cared for dogs, cats, bottle babies, senior pets, foster animals, and pets with medical needs. Every animal deserves to be safe, loved, and comfortable, and I care for each pet as if they were my own. I previously worked in a veterinary clinic, where I gained valuable experience handling animals safely, assisting with their care, administering oral medications, and performing injections as needed. While I no longer work in veterinary medicine, I am comfortable caring for pets with routine medical needs and always follow the owners' instructions carefully. I also volunteered with my local Humane Society for eight years and was proud to serve on its Board of Directors for four years. During that time, I helped countless animals of various ages, temperaments, and medical conditions find loving homes. Caring for foster animals, bottle babies, and pets recovering from illness taught me patience, compassion, and how to recognize when an animal requires extra care. I previously owned and operated Peak Pet Sitting in Ruidoso, New Mexico, where I offered dependable in-home pet care to local families. For the sake of all animals' safety and comfort, I generally do not offer boarding in my home. I have three dogs, three cats, and a turtle, and I believe that most pets are happiest and safest in their familiar surroundings. Young kittens or orphaned bottle babies are an exception, as they can be safely isolated in a separate room away from my other pets. I have extensive experience fostering neonatal kittens and caring for bottle babies, so I am confident in providing the specialized care they require. (WEEKENDS ONLY or HOLIDAYS) Whether I'm caring for your pet at home or a young kitten in mine, I'll carefully follow your care instructions, administer oral medications or injections as needed, and provide regular updates with photos to give you peace of mind while you're away. I respect every pet as if it were my own, as well as every home.

About: Ive loved , raised and trained many personal pups over the years that were Wonderful family members, Ive cared for friends and family pets as well. I work from home as I own an at home bakery, my time will be used to play with your fur baby in between baking my Cheesecakes & Muffins and filling orders. I have a fully fenced yard along with a doggie door and covered back patio where your dog can relax in front of the out door fan, or can hang out inside and play with any number of dog toys .we love our fur buddies.

About: I have owned and cared for dogs since I was 8. I can care for all kinds of dogs, regardless of personality or breed (especially pit bulls and bull terriers). I tend to understand what a dog wants/communicates better than many others. I have lots of experience doing medical treatments on dogs as well including medications, diets, exercise restraints, IVs, etc. I am a self employed musician and I can adapt my schedule to care for pets. I have occasional commitments throughout each week, but have plenty of time during the days to meet clients needs. Any long term client I will communicate scheduling accordingly. I ensure pups follow a healthy routine that makes them happy. I am able to potty train, crate train, ample play time and socializing. Depending on the breed, I will walk pups from 15 mins to an hour on top of playing with them in a fenced off backyard.
