Hello! My name is Joey, and I've dedicated over 20 years to caring for animals of all kinds. My experience extends beyond just owning pets; I've cared for dogs, cats, bottle babies, senior pets, foster animals, and pets with medical needs. Every animal deserves to be safe, loved, and comfortable, and I care for each pet as if they were my own. I previously worked in a veterinary clinic, where I gained valuable experience handling animals safely, assisting with their care, administering oral medications, and performing injections as needed. While I no longer work in veterinary medicine, I am comfortable caring for pets with routine medical needs and always follow the owners' instructions carefully. I also volunteered with my local Humane Society for eight years and was proud to serve on its Board of Directors for four years. During that time, I helped countless animals of various ages, temperaments, and medical conditions find loving homes. Caring for foster animals, bottle babies, and pets recovering from illness taught me patience, compassion, and how to recognize when an animal requires extra care. I previously owned and operated Peak Pet Sitting in Ruidoso, New Mexico, where I offered dependable in-home pet care to local families. After moving to Arizona two years ago, I focused on my full-time job and furthering my education, but I'm excited to resume pet sitting services because caring for animals has always been one of my greatest passions. At home, I am a proud pet parent to three dogs, three cats, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family members. I understand that leaving your pets behind can be stressful, and my goal is to provide you with complete peace of mind while you're away. I currently work full-time and attend nursing school, so pet sitting helps to cover the cost of my education while allowing me to spend time doing something I genuinely enjoy. Because of my work schedule, I am available before and after work, in the evenings, overnight (by arrangement), and on weekends. While I am not available for midday weekday visits, I will give your pets my undivided attention, plenty of affection, exercise, playtime, and attentive care. Whether your pet requires medication, extra patience, plenty of exercise, couch cuddles, or simply someone who understands their distinct personality, I would be honored to care for them.
