“I felt very comfortable leaving my cats in Mae’s hands! She came over for an in-person visit before the actual sit just to get familiar with the area and routine. She sent photos and updates the days she dropped by. All communication was fast and seamless, I plan to book Mae again in the future as I go out of town quite often.”

About: Volunteered at a dog shelter (Rylies rescue) and for an organization called pawsibilities housing up to 50+ cats plus animals like farm animals, birds, and everything in between, so I’m very familiar with all sorts of animals and temperaments. Worked with 30+ cats in one space and familiar with administering medication. I’m in ocean city full time for the summer, and I have a very flexible schedule so I can provide care throughout the day whenever needed. I go on walks daily so dog walking fits into my routine. I’m also willing to travel between shore points to make sure your pet gets the care they need! I take care of my special needs dog, Wyatt, often. I feed, walk, and bathe him, and administer his meds whenever needed. All of which I am willing to do for your pets!
“Lauren visited my cats over a weekend away. She followed instructions I left, took it upon herself to change the water bowl I left for the outside critters during a heat wave, and won over my scaredy cat. I am very pleased and will book her again.”

About: I have never not had a dog as far back as I can remember. I love being around them. From puppies to senior dogs also. As of Dec. 27th I will be working full time, however I can still do walks, drop ins and overnight stays. I can still do morning walks and evening walks. Can walk dogs from a small walk to up to several miles if needed, on a hike and just play ball if needed. I currently do not have a yard to be able to have a dog at my home. Hope to change that in the future as needed

About: I’m a Veterinary Assistant/College Student who loves all animals. I’ve grown up around cats and dogs my whole life. I’m very passionate about caring for animals, I know how to read Canine Body Language. I have a spare leash and extra poop bags, I take last-minute walking gigs on Tuesdays! For repeat walking or drop-in visits, I would like to set up a meet and greet first where I get to talk with you as well as get to know your furry friend so they’re comfortable around me! A dog walk with me won’t just be a normal walk, with your permission I would love to play with your dog to help get that energy out. For cats, I’d love to snuggle them and play with them forever and ever. The days I have open availability are Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays anytime! For the rest of the week, I am available for a quick walk/visit before 7:30am, or a nice evening walk/play/visit after 4:00/5:00pm as I work. I do take last minute walking gigs, but for repeat walking or drop-ins, I would like to set up a meet and greet visit to get to know you and your furry friends! I would like to go over any special needs, medications, limitations, health issues, training your animal may have and also get your pets acclimated to me before taking them out/caring for them on my own. I will give your furry friend so much attention, love, and care. And if your dog likes pup cups, I’ll make sure they have an unlimited amount 🐾 For kitties who love treats, I’ll give them all the churus in the world!
About: I'm an animal lover and dependable pet sitter providing caring, personalized attention for dos and cats. Whether it's walks, playtime, feedings or drop-ins, I treat every pet like family and make sure they feel safe, happy and loved while you're away. I have great flexibility with my full-time job and can do drop-ins or walks as needed weekdays and weekends. Many working parents utilize my flexibility for a lunch time walk to break up the pet's day or anytime some fresh air and exercise is needed. I cater to what is best for the furry client and pet owner. I can do backyard play with the pet if the owner prefers that, or indoor time as well. Sometimes senior dogs just need some petting or fresh air while other dogs want to chase a ball and play fetch.
“Thank you, Stephanie! We were so happy with our first time and she could not have made it easier. What wonderful communication! Callie was so content when we returned . We know she appreciated her visit.. No doubt we will ask her again to care for our cat! 5 stars!! Highly recommend!”

“Maria was a great sitter! She took very good care of our senior cat and sent great pictures each time. We could tell Lilly was well taken care when we got home and we would definitely rebook Maria for our next vacation!”

“Great experience! We booked a quick drop-in visit before an upcoming house sit, and everything went wonderfully. She was punctual, friendly, and took the time to get to know our pets and their routines. We felt very comfortable with her and are looking forward to having her stay with our pets while we’re away. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve had dogs before, so I’m comfortable managing and caring for them daily. I also grew up around about 16 dogs, which helped me develop patience, confidence, and the ability to handle different personalities, sizes, and energy levels. I understand routines like feeding, walks, supervision, and making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. During the school year, I’m available before and after school. I leave for school in the morning and return around 2:40 PM, so I’m dependable for afternoon, evening, and weekend care. I prioritize safety, trust, and creating a calm environment for every pet in my care. I follow owner instructions carefully, keep pets supervised, and pay close attention to their behavior and comfort.
“Jamie was fantastic and great at communicating. She took really good care of our dogs and rabbit. After the nightmare we had with another sitter on Rover, Jamie was a great relief. I would highly recommend her!”

“Diana was awesome. She got back with me initially within an hour. She took great care of my two cats and communicated with me each day including pictures of my kitties I definitely would hire her again”

“Andrew was fantastic! He was so detailed and he kept in touch each day. he really understood my difficult diabetic cat and made sure to show love to our other two. Having someone who comes in to give insulin really allowed me to enjoy our time away with no worries if we would have to come home early. We are so grateful and will definitely be booking again. Thanks again Andrew!!”

About: I have always had a love for animals. Growing up, I always had pets, mostly dogs and cats but also rodents, snakes, and frogs. I have also volunteered for 2 animal shelters in the past and still actively volunteer at one with walking dogs. I am currently in school and working part time but somehow still have plenty of free time! I love helping out people especially when it comes to caring for their pets when they cannot, whether that be at work or on vacation. I will always keep any animals on leashes or in the house. I will keep the same principles as my own dogs and will always keep them safe and keep their boundaries granted.
“We couldn't have asked for anyone better to take care of our kids with paws. Kyla was fantastic and I will not hesitate to book her again. She was very attentive, responsible and conscientious. She asked very good questions at our meet and greet and our pets took to her immediately. They all looked very happy in the photos she sent and I felt better knowing that they were in good hands.”

“I am so incredibly thankful for the care Lisa gave to my two cats while we were out of the country. Not only did she come every day and spend time with them around the same time every evening, she also brought toys for them to keep. She made sure they had food, water, and clean litter every day. That’s beyond any service I was expecting and appreciate it immensely. Also, as a cute little added touch, she gave me painting with the same shades and colors on my boys coats. I would recommend her to anyone and trust her with my pets if we need to travel away again. She’s incredibly nice and trust worthy, anyone could trust her with their fur babies.”

About: I work remotely from my cozy home in Northfield most days a week, and I love furry company! I have a large back yard and live in a calm neighbourhood with lots of treelined streets to walk your pups through. I can also petsit your babies in your own home since my work is remote. I've been taking care of animals for friends for years and just realized I could be doing this more often through Rover! I work remotely and it's very flexible work. I love to take breaks and go out for walks frequently, and if your animal fits on my lap they'll most likely be there most of the time! If they have anxious tendencies I have lots of experience with helping them calm down and feel secure with me. I love to snuggle and will give your animals lots of cuddles and love! I have a big yard where your pup can run on the line. I make sure to feed your animals on time and take them out for frequent walks in my neighbourhood, parks nearby, or at the dog beach!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
