“Maureen was great with my dogs. I could tell she genuinely cares about animals and I felt completely at ease about leaving my fur babies in her care. She accommodated my last minute booking request and even made time to come do a meet and greet on short notice. She was very conscientious, did everything I requested and was great at communicating. I would definitely book Maureen again and recommend her to my friends. A+ experience.”

“Tyler was amazing! He answered very quickly on Christmas too, and he was so sweet to Eve and made sure to ask permission before bringing his golden! I’m glad he did our goldens had so much fun on the walk together !”

About: Volunteered at a dog shelter (Rylies rescue) and for an organization called pawsibilities housing up to 50+ cats plus animals like farm animals, birds, and everything in between, so I’m very familiar with all sorts of animals and temperaments. Worked with 30+ cats in one space and familiar with administering medication. I’m in ocean city full time for the summer, and I have a very flexible schedule so I can provide care throughout the day whenever needed. I go on walks daily so dog walking fits into my routine. I’m also willing to travel between shore points to make sure your pet gets the care they need! I take care of my special needs dog, Wyatt, often. I feed, walk, and bathe him, and administer his meds whenever needed. All of which I am willing to do for your pets!
About: I have foster dogs for the last two years. I am currently fostering my 7th dog, I have owned dogs my whole life and my dream is to open my own sanctuary one day. I’ve fostered small dogs And big dogs, i’ve potty trained, crate trained, and house trained every single one of my Foster’s. I have experience with fear based, anxious and reactive dogs. I spend my free time volunteering at the shelter to help walking & socializing the dogs. My dogs are my children, and they are so spoiled beyond belief. I’m currently working part time so I’m pretty much home all day dedicating my time to my fur babies, making sure they get plenty of mental and physical exercise. I’m big on mental enrichment/stimulation and excersise. I will make sure your dog is taking good care of! I love to play ball/fetch with my dogs, I play a lot of puzzle games, I take them for a run or car ride to sniff & tire themselves out.
“it was my first time using rover Lauren was outstanding !!! The babies were so happy to see her . My lil dog very timid and she sent me a pic of her on her lap which you can’t even try to fake a photo because the little dog is like a wet cat lol . I’m soooo happy we found her . Look forward to her being our permanent best friend for our doggos”

About: I have never not had a dog as far back as I can remember. I love being around them. From puppies to senior dogs also. As of Dec. 27th I will be working full time, however I can still do walks, drop ins and overnight stays. I can still do morning walks and evening walks. Can walk dogs from a small walk to up to several miles if needed, on a hike and just play ball if needed. I currently do not have a yard to be able to have a dog at my home. Hope to change that in the future as needed
“I felt very comfortable leaving my cats in Mae’s hands! She came over for an in-person visit before the actual sit just to get familiar with the area and routine. She sent photos and updates the days she dropped by. All communication was fast and seamless, I plan to book Mae again in the future as I go out of town quite often.”

“We absolutely loved having Kyla's help. We had a last minute request but she was so accommodating. Our cat loved her too! We will definitely book Kyla again for our next trip.”

About: After adopting our family rescue dog at a young age, I grew up learning how to care and tend to a dog. Though my dog is smaller, I have grown up around all different animals and dog sizes. About: I’ve grown up around dogs and have spent years learning how to care for them through owning dogs and helping friends with theirs. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Somers Point
We had an absolutely AMAZING experience with Deborah (Debbie) as our dog sitter! She took such incredible care of our dog, Hoops, and we truly could not have asked for a better person to trust while we were away. From day one, she was professional, reliable, and so thoughtful. She consistently left detailed notes and sent plenty of photos, which completely put our minds at ease and made us feel connected to Hoops the entire time. What really set her apart was how much she genuinely cares. She went above and beyond—often staying longer than expected just to make sure Hoops was happy and comfortable. It was so clear he was being showered with love and attention. She played with him, walked him, gave him tons of affection, and treated him like her own. Because of her, we were actually able to relax and fully enjoy our vacation knowing Hoops was in the BEST hands. That peace of mind is priceless. We can’t recommend Debbie highly enough—she is truly exceptional, and we are so grateful for everything she did for Hoops!

Adrienne is someone who genuinely cares about your pet. Choosing her to watch my cat while I was away for 10 days was the perfect choice. I couldn’t be any happier. Between the updates, the photos, and her willingness to go above and beyond, we are so thankful we found her! Thank you Adrienne!!!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
