“Maureen was great with my dogs. I could tell she genuinely cares about animals and I felt completely at ease about leaving my fur babies in her care. She accommodated my last minute booking request and even made time to come do a meet and greet on short notice. She was very conscientious, did everything I requested and was great at communicating. I would definitely book Maureen again and recommend her to my friends. A+ experience.”

“Alec was a lifesaver who responded instantly and came on short notice to help us out with our dog. He came for a quick meet and greet and was punctual and great for the drop in visits we needed. Will def recommend and book again. Thanks”

About: I have taken care of dogs a lot throughout my life. I used to walk dogs in my neighborhood all the time. 4 years ago I got my own puppy and trained him. Now we walk around 5 miles everyday I walk my dog multiple times a day and I love to go on long walks. I have a waitressing job in the summer and I like to spend the rest of my days outside playing with dogs. I care for my puppy so much and I am always playing with him and never leaving him by himself. I make sure that he is always happy and healthy
“Stephanie was awesome! Pru was a fan of her right away. We had Stephanie stop in twice today to let Pru out to do her business. Stephanie stayed and played with Pru each time to give her a break from her crate. You could not tell that anyone stopped by as everything was where we left it. Our puppy was happy and not at all upset about our the extended time that we were away. We look forward to booking Stephanie the next time we are away and Pru will be excited to see her again as well.”

About: I’m a Veterinary Assistant/College Student who loves all animals. I’ve grown up around cats and dogs my whole life. I’m very passionate about caring for animals, I know how to read Canine Body Language. I have a spare leash and extra poop bags, I take last-minute walking gigs on Tuesdays! For repeat walking or drop-in visits, I would like to set up a meet and greet first where I get to talk with you as well as get to know your furry friend so they’re comfortable around me! A dog walk with me won’t just be a normal walk, with your permission I would love to play with your dog to help get that energy out. For cats, I’d love to snuggle them and play with them forever and ever. The days I have open availability are Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays anytime! For the rest of the week, I am available for a quick walk/visit before 7:30am, or a nice evening walk/play/visit after 4:00/5:00pm as I work. I do take last minute walking gigs, but for repeat walking or drop-ins, I would like to set up a meet and greet visit to get to know you and your furry friends! I would like to go over any special needs, medications, limitations, health issues, training your animal may have and also get your pets acclimated to me before taking them out/caring for them on my own. I will give your furry friend so much attention, love, and care. And if your dog likes pup cups, I’ll make sure they have an unlimited amount 🐾 For kitties who love treats, I’ll give them all the churus in the world!

About: I’ve always loved being around animals and understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust. I’m patient, dependable, and focused on making every pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I’m experienced with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels, including puppies who need extra patience and consistency as well as senior dogs who may need a gentler routine, medication reminders, or extra attention. I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions, keeping pets active with walks and playtime, and maintaining routines that help them feel at home. What sets me apart is the genuine attention and care I give every pet. I treat animals like family, provide regular updates and photos, and make sure each pet gets personalized care based on their needs and personality. I am currently working part and time so I’ll have plenty of time to care for your pets! I am also very available on the weekends. Safety and comfort are always my top priorities when caring for pets in both my home and a client’s home. I take time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special instructions so they feel secure and comfortable while in my care. In a client’s home, I make sure pets stay on their normal schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, and rest to help reduce stress. I keep the environment clean, secure, and calm, and I always double-check doors, gates, leashes, and food instructions for safety. I am also happy to provide regular updates and photos so pet owners can feel confident knowing their pets are safe, happy, and well cared for.

I love helping out people especially when it comes to caring for their pets when they cannot, whether that be at work or on vacation. I will always keep any animals on leashes or in the house. I will keep the same principles as my own dogs and will always keep them safe and keep their boundaries granted.

About: I'm an animal lover and dependable pet sitter providing caring, personalized attention for dos and cats. Whether it's walks, playtime, feedings or drop-ins, I treat every pet like family and make sure they feel safe, happy and loved while you're away. I have great flexibility with my full-time job and can do drop-ins or walks as needed weekdays and weekends. Many working parents utilize my flexibility for a lunch time walk to break up the pet's day or anytime some fresh air and exercise is needed. I cater to what is best for the furry client and pet owner. I can do backyard play with the pet if the owner prefers that, or indoor time as well. Sometimes senior dogs just need some petting or fresh air while other dogs want to chase a ball and play fetch.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Longport
We had an absolutely AMAZING experience with Deborah (Debbie) as our dog sitter! She took such incredible care of our dog, Hoops, and we truly could not have asked for a better person to trust while we were away. From day one, she was professional, reliable, and so thoughtful. She consistently left detailed notes and sent plenty of photos, which completely put our minds at ease and made us feel connected to Hoops the entire time. What really set her apart was how much she genuinely cares. She went above and beyond—often staying longer than expected just to make sure Hoops was happy and comfortable. It was so clear he was being showered with love and attention. She played with him, walked him, gave him tons of affection, and treated him like her own. Because of her, we were actually able to relax and fully enjoy our vacation knowing Hoops was in the BEST hands. That peace of mind is priceless. We can’t recommend Debbie highly enough—she is truly exceptional, and we are so grateful for everything she did for Hoops!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
