“This was our first time using a pet sitter, other than family, and we are extremely pleased with the experience. Cassie went above and beyond, taking care of our cats and home while we were away. Even our very shy cat, who takes days to come out while visitors are here, was out within a day and looking forward to her visits. Regular updates, photos, and personable accounts of the visits all added up to easing our minds about how the cats were doing, and we can't thank Cassie enough for her care of 2 of our furry family members! Highly recommend and will be calling Cassie for sure next time we need someone to watch the cats.”

“Samantha was very good with our lab Jake! She showed up to each visit in a timely manner. Pictures of Jake and good communication was appreciated. I would not hesitate to use Samantha again; the weekend went great!”

“Great experience! We booked a quick drop-in visit before an upcoming house sit, and everything went wonderfully. She was punctual, friendly, and took the time to get to know our pets and their routines. We felt very comfortable with her and are looking forward to having her stay with our pets while we’re away. Highly recommend!”

“Barbara provides quality in house pet care. She came into my house, while I was away and took care of my cat in a professional, respectful manner. I give here my full recommendation and would hire her again!”

“Sterlin is great! Quick to respond, easy to talk to, accepted my last minute request. She was great with Merlin, kept me posted, send me lots of pics and I could see my dog loved and was having a fun time. I gave me a lot on piece of mind! I’m absolutely gonna book with her next time! Thank you Sterlin!”

“Joanna was a wonderful sitter and a warn person! We were very comfortable and at ease from the moment we met her. We rarely leave our dogs to anyone, even family, but we knew they were in good hands with Joanna. I’d highly recommend her, she is a mature, caring and responsible person. We were visiting from out of town, but would definitely use her again if the opportunity came about!”

“Andrew was absolutely amazing! He was very attentive to my animals and made sure I was updated every visit. Definitely will be rebooking with him in the near future.”

“Jamie was fantastic and great at communicating. She took really good care of our dogs and rabbit. After the nightmare we had with another sitter on Rover, Jamie was a great relief. I would highly recommend her!”

“Katelyn did a great job keeping our cat company and also keeping an eye on our two chickens. She also watered my daughter’s plants. Our cat was way less stressed than when we have boarded her during trips. We would hire her again.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for 10 years. I’m really in it for the love of the game. I unfortunately can’t have a dog my self, which in turn makes me love and care for others dogs even more. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs and can handle just about anything when it comes to caring for them. I know how much you care about your dog, which is why I will go to the ends of the earth to take care of them Lucas Domazet I’m part time at the family business, so I’m free most days. Just text me when ever and I’ll let you know. Call at midnight for all I care. I know life is crazy and sometimes you can’t take your pets with you. That’s why I’m here What ever special requirements your pet may need, I will do. I know everyone loves their dog(s) more than most other people in their life. So obviously they deserve as much love and care as we can give them.
“Tyler was wonderful with my dogs. He made me feel very comfortable by sending me great shots of the pups and by being super communicative. My dogs were very happy when I got home. Thank you Tyler!!”

“Stephanie was awesome! Pru was a fan of her right away. We had Stephanie stop in twice today to let Pru out to do her business. Stephanie stayed and played with Pru each time to give her a break from her crate. You could not tell that anyone stopped by as everything was where we left it. Cassie was absolutely so great with my cats Pib & Poe while I was away for the weekend! After a lot of commotion of my home being renovated and then having a trip away my cats were definitely confused as to what was going on lol! Cassie was so communicative and helpful and really put my mind at ease completely while I was gone. Cassie was super prompt, easy to talk to, and honestly fun to communicate with about the silly habits cats have lol!! I will definitely be booking with Cassie again during my next trip away. Thank you so much for taking care of my girls😊

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
