About: please, call me jess!! i had a senior cat that i loved dearly for five years. he was diagnosed FIV so i have knowledge on that, as well as administering oral medications. my parents also run a cat rescue down in florida! when i lived with them we had 6 pets, including 4 dogs and 2 cats (not counting the strays i secretly fed haha) so i also have experience with a variety of dog sizes! i work part time currently so i have plenty of free/spare time! i would love to fill that time taking care of animals, whatever it may be Although i live in an apartment building, i can make sure your pet has a safe, fun and loving environment to be in! : )
About: (Rover requires legal names, but please call me Rowan!) I’ve been around dogs constantly since birth. There have only been a few years of my life without any dogs in the house! I work at a dog daycare full time over the summer, so I'm accustomed to both puppies and seniors of all sizes. I’m a student at St. Olaf College. I’m available any time on the weekends, and any time outside of: 12-4 on M/W/F, and 11-4 on T/Th. Dogs are basically furry children. They can’t communicate directly, so they resort to barking, growling, or even biting. I’m experienced in figuring out why a dog is acting out and calming them down before things get out of hand. What looks like “being annoying” is usually boredom, need for water, or anxiety!
About: Through either the companion animals my wife and I have welcomed into our home, or through the work I did at the local animal shelter as both a kennel attendant and volunteer, one of my few passions in life is providing care to and spending time with animals. For a number of years, I lived with companion rabbits—our time with them taught me a lot of patience, and gave me a heightened sense of when something might be wrong with their health. For a few years we lived with a special needs cat, and we currently are living with an Olde English Bulldog—all of these animals are of course different, for myriad reasons, but they also have a number of similarities in the personalities that if you spend enough time around them, you'll grow to see and understand. The time I spent as a volunteer and attendant at the shelter was a great lesson in how to be efficient and effective in tending to a number of animals at once—sometimes upwards of 20 cats that all needed their areas cleaned, food and water refreshed, and sometimes given medication. As a volunteer I worked with especially shy and frightened animals who had recently been surrendered and were not adjusting well to life at the shelter. This, like my own time living with rabbits, was the chance to learn more patience, and work with an animal until they open up more. I am, like, very available to care for your animal. Friday and Saturday I have a commitment in the morning, but would be ready to check in on whomever after 11 a.m certainly, and I would like to think that overall, I am relatively flexible and can manage time well. In my own home, I more or less put an animal's needs ahead of my own. If I were to check in on an animal of any kind in someone else's home, I would be respectful of their house rules, and also try to get to know the animal within their own space and interact with them there.
About: I have loved animals my whole life. growing up with dogs, cats, fish, and birds, I enjoy pets of all kinds! I have experience with both pet boarding and pet sitting! I have worked with several different families with multiple dog and feel totally comfortable with that. Going to the dog park is always fun but I know some dogs aren’t comfortable there. I also have lots of experience with cats and birds. My roommate is allergic to cats so they can’t stay at our house but I would be happy to come to yours. Walking pups is a great way to explore new neighborhoods. Through these kinds of experiences I have learned that it is always more fun to walk around and explore with a four legged friend. I work a pretty consistent schedule but I am lucky enough to be able to flex it. I can adjust it to meet your pups needs. I have a fenced in yard that I spend a lot of time in during the summer. About: Im a pet owner myself with 2 kitties and a bully breed. I’m comfortable with all kinds of pets including reptiles and birds as well as doing nail clippings with non aggressive pets. Aside from that I’m free weekends to care for your babies while you take a vacation or a quick break! My pets are always supervised as they tend to be velcro babies.
