I do all my pet visits in the early morning before I go to work at St. Olaf, during lunch hour, or after work in the evenings.

When I come into your home I am very careful when opening the door to make sure your pet does not run out. I approach your pet so long as they want me to pet them or play with them. If they are a more cautious pet, I make sure their food, water, and litter is taken care of and speak reassuringly to them as I do my tasks. I make sure I get eyes on them during my time in your home and before I close the door carefully behind me.

I need to know if your pet wants to will try to run out the front door. I also need to know where your pet likes to hide so I can find them.
A typical day
I usually play with your pet with the toys they have near. I do not like to bring my own toys. I usually don't care for dogs though.

Cat care experience
Being chosen by a cat is a wonderful experience. It’s important to let them make that call…purr or hiss…it’s up to them and I will always wait for them to decide. Once they choose me though, I will play, brush, and pet until they walk away.

We had Claudia drop in to care for our cat while we were on vacation. We were pretty worried because our cat is a senior with health issues. Claudia totally put our minds at ease. She was reliable and a great communicator. And our cat loved her. Reccomend her highly.

Claudia reported back to us every day. Besides our cat she had the challenge of caring for our parrots. She communicated her questions clearly, and made a determined effort to get to know our parrots, a testy cockatoo and a shy African gray. I really hope she will be willing to help us out again!
