About: Ever since I was a little girl there have been dogs in the house. When I was a young woman in my 20’s I worked at a wildlife rehab center in the suburbs of Chicago (Willowbrook Wildlife Haven). During my marriage I fostered dogs for 5 years and we also had our own dogs, everything from a Beagle to a Collie to Golden Retrievers. I love bird watching, love Ornithology! My love of animals has apparently rubbed off onto my kids. One daughter has two cats and one dog and my other daughter rescued her dog two years ago. The saying of “Who Rescued Who” is very true since she needed some four legged love during her college life and her dog has truly bonded with her! I am a stay at home mom, soon to be an empty nester. I am wanting to fill my time with some four legged love! I have a very large fenced in yard and a doggy door in the kitchen area. I love that door, my dogs just come and go and it’s great if I’m out and about for a few hours!

About: I live in the Chic’s Beach area in a duplex with my boyfriend. I understand that every pet has their own personality and needs, so I focus on giving them patience, attention, and plenty of playtime. I treat every pet like they are my own and always want them to feel comfortable and cared for. I always make sure to keep owners updated with photos and messages. I have been around dogs ever since I was an infant and grew up caring for them so being around animals is very natural to me. I am available for structured walks and exercise, regular feedings, reinforcing basic commands, basic puppy training, oral medication delivery, brushing/basic hygiene and loads of fun! Four years ago I rescued my cat, Sage, from the SPCA which changed my life for the better. She made me realize how much I love caring for and connecting with animals. Because of that, I always make sure pets feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away. I work full-time from home from 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, which allows me to easily fit pet care into my daily routine. I have a 30-minute lunch break and a two 15-minute breaks during the day that I can take at any time, making it easy for me to stop by for visits, feedings, or check-ins if you are within the nearby area. After 3:30 PM, I have plenty of time to dedicate to playing with, caring for, and giving your pets lots of attention. My main priority is keeping your animal safe and comfortable. I live in a very clean smoke-free duplex that has a yard and is in an amazing dog-walking area. I love to go outside so taking them out for walks multiple times a day will never be a problem.

I am currently a teacher with flexible hours/days. I have summers and holidays off which makes it easy for me to care for your pets! I currently have free full time availability as I am taking online college classes, I am available anyday anytime Monday-Sunday to help love and care for your pets. I focus on keeping pets comfortable, safe, and loved while maintaining their normal routine. I follow all feeding instructions carefully, make sure they always have fresh water, give medications if needed, and keep their space clean. (I used to work in a veterinary office.) I spend quality time with them through walks, playtime, and gentle attention so they don’t feel lonely or stressed. I also watch closely for any changes in behavior or health and communicate updates to the owner so they feel at ease.

She’s been watching our husky for about a year and a half now any time we go out of town, which is pretty frequent. She’s always reliable, on time, great with communication, and goes the extra mile to follow our instructions and spoil our fur baby when we’re gone. I always feel like I don’t have to worry because our dog is in good hands whenever Monique is with her because she takes the responsibility very seriously. Monique brings our dogs treats, remembers our dogs weird quirks, and even left us some yummy chocolate covered strawberries for Valentine’s Day just because she’s that awesome. She’s also super flexible with some last minute booking requests which can’t be easy. We love Monique and would recommend her to anyone! The”
