My Schedule & Availability 🐾 I mostly work from home on a very flexible schedule, which allows me to give each pet in my care the attention, affection, and consistency they deserve. Whether it’s a leisurely walk, quiet companionship, or playtime in the yard, your dog will enjoy a calm and caring environment throughout the day. ✨ I’m available for dog walks between 9:30 AM and 6:30 PM and would be delighted to host your well-mannered small dog (approximately 20 lbs and under) for a comfortable, home-style stay. For short visits, I’m happy to consider dogs up to 40 lbs, provided they have gentle temperaments. Your pet’s comfort and well-being are always my top priority — and they’ll be treated with genuine warmth, patience, and the utmost care. 🐶💛

My Home & Neighborhood 🏡🐾 I have a fully fenced yard that provides a safe and comfortable space for play and fresh air. My quiet and safe neighborhood is perfect for daily walks, with lovely tree-lined streets. 🌳🐕 I enjoy staying active and find it therapeutic to walk or jog every day — your dog will be a welcome and cheerful companion on these outings! 🐾✨ I share my home with my husband, who is also a lifelong dog lover, and our gentle, kind-hearted 4-year-old son. Our son adores dogs and has always been wonderful with them. He’s at preschool four days a week, which allows for dogs to have some completely quiet time. Your dog will enjoy a warm, nurturing environment filled with affection, exercise, and thoughtful care from our whole family. 💛

My preference for boarding in my home is for small breeds that have been around young children plenty of times without any issues. (Some dogs are great with kids in small doses only) If your dog has a history of chewing shoes, toys, etc. I am sorry but I will have to pass. Additionally, if your dog is an "escape artist" and frequently tries to bolt out the door I will have to pass. Any other potentially problematic behaviors, like frequent barking, are not necessarily deal breakers but please be sure to let me know at first contact please. Thanks very much!

A typical day here is relaxed, happy, and full of tail wags! Mornings usually start with some outside time in my fenced yard, followed by a nice walk around the neighborhood or through the park across the street. ☀️🐕 Throughout the day, your pup will enjoy plenty of playtime, snuggles, and attention while I work from home. I take regular breaks for short walks, fresh air, and a few treats (with your permission, of course!). 🐶💛 Evenings are calm and cozy — couch time, a final walk, a few last ear scratches, and then lots of rest in a comfortable, homey environment. Your pet will feel loved, secure, and part of the family from start to finish. 🏡✨

About Me 🐾 Hi there! I’ve been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember — caring for them has always been one of the biggest joys in my life. Over the years, I’ve shared my home with (and cared for) all kinds of animals — from horses and birds to cats and dogs of every breed, size, and personality. I’ve also volunteered as a foster mom for rescue pets, helping them feel safe, loved, and ready for their forever homes. 🐕🐾 I have a special place in my heart for senior dogs and plenty of hands-on experience with pups who need a little extra care. Whether it’s giving medications, following special routines, or offering lots of gentle attention, I’m patient, reliable, and always focused on keeping your pet happy and comfortable. 💛 Since I don’t currently have any pets of my own, your dog will get my full attention and affection during their stay. I only host one dog at a time (unless they’re siblings!), which means your pup will enjoy a calm, cozy, and personalized environment — full of walks, cuddles, and playtime. I truly love building connections with each dog I care for and treat every guest like part of the family. I can’t wait to meet your furry best friend and make them feel right at home! 🐶✨

Cynthia was amazing! She kept me updated with pictures and feedback the entire time. My dog Sunny has high anxiety, but he looked so happy and comfortable at her house. Cynthia even accommodated a last-minute schedule change when my flight was delayed. The whole experience was great, and I will definitely book with her again!
Cynthia and her family are THE BEST!!! We are from out of town and had a hiccup just days before the start of our Virginia Beach vacation when our local sitter became unavailable to watch our two pups. I was in a bit of a panic, with only a few days left to secure arrangements. I was so fortunate to find and connect with Cynthia! Because we live several hours away, we could not do a prior meet-and-greet, which initially made me a bit nervous. However, we were able to chat on the phone before confirming the reservation, and any worries I had quickly disappeared as Cynthia had a lot of knowledge and experience with dog care, routines, and special quirks. At drop-off, we met Cynthia's husband, who was also very welcoming. He reassured us that our pups would be in good hands. As I write this review, I can confidently say that they absolutely were in the best of hands! From the photos and updates we received, we could see our pups were happy, relaxed, and quickly bonding with the family. Thank you, Cynthia and family, for accepting a last-minute reservation, taking in our pups sight unseen, and giving them such a loving and safe home away from home!!!
This was Toby's 2nd stay with Cynthia and we can't wait to use her services again! Cynthia responds promptly and sends regular updates which made me feel better while being out of town. She is so friendly, kind and very accommodating to our needs. We genuinely appreciate her flexibility. Toby is knackered by the time we get home which is a sure sign of him having a blast. Thank you Cynthia and family - Toby looks forward to his next stay!
We boarded my 2.5 yr old golden doodle with Cynthia and her family for a few nights, and it was a very positive experience! She sent several updates each day with photos, and I can tell gave my pup lots of love and exercise. He came home tuckered out!
