About: Professional Pet Snuggler, Dog Walker Extraordinaire, and Treat Giver Supreme 🐾 I’m a mom of two young wild and wonderful kids (three, if you count my husband 😄) and a lifelong animal lover. I’ve lived with pets so long, I’m basically fluent in meow, woof, and squeak. With over 5 years of dog-walking experience, I’m comfy with pups of all sizes — from pocket-sized pooches to gentle giants. I’m also totally cool with cats, rats, hamsters, guinea pigs, and even horses. If it has fur (or whiskers), I’m in! Whether your pup needs a brisk walk, your cat needs a snack and a snuggle, or your pet rat just wants someone to chat with — I’ve got you covered. I treat every animal like part of the family (and yes, I do talk to them like they’re tiny humans). Ready to bring joy, treats, and tummy rubs — can’t wait to meet your whiskered pal! As a stay-at-home mom, part-time admin, and dance instructor, I’m no stranger to juggling schedules — and I’ve got the flexibility to fit in pet care when you need it most. Whether it’s during the school year or the summer shuffle, I can usually make it work. Need a midday walk? A last-minute drop-in? A cuddle buddy for your cat while you’re away? I’ve got you covered! I don’t offer pet sleepovers at my place (our house is already a zoo!), but I’m more than happy to come to yours. Your pets will stay comfy in their own cozy corners while I handle the food, walks, belly rubs, and more. I'm super respectful of your home and always treat it like it’s my own. I’m also very mindful of home safety and security — you can count on me to treat your space with respect and care while you’re away.

“We are so thankful we found Melissa on Rover! She was undeterred by our dog’s initial excessive barking and excitability. She was very responsive to messages and when our schedule wasn’t predictable she was understanding and flexible. She was extremely generous with her time and attention to our pup and truly treated him like he was her own. She left a light on for us when we were expecting to be home after dark. It’s clear she loves caring for dogs and helping their owners!”

About: Honest, Experienced, Reliable pet sitting and care. We take great pride in forming a bond with each pet we take care of. This is something that we love doing and will love yours like our own. As an added bonus you should get a few great photos of your favorite creature! We have taken care of Dogs, Cats, Parrots, Turtles, Fish, Chickens, Ducks, Goats, Pigs, Horses, worms, snails, etc. If you have some fun and interesting animals we would love to come, meet you and them, and take care of them while you are out of town, or just at work! We welcome pets that love to snuggle in bed, elderly pets, as well as difficult and anxious pets. Sometimes our posted rates don’t meet your special needs pets, and appreciate your patience in the negotiation process. You will get the best available and individualized care of your pets in our home, or yours. Daily updates along with photos and videos of your pet, and have the peace of mind they are being loved and cared for just like you would at your own home. We welcome training opportunities, and can continue treat and/or clicker training and potty training as well. My husband worked at a local Donkey rescue and I have been rescuing Strays since 1985. We both just love and care for animals. The nitty gritty details: We only watch pets from 1 family at a time. This lessens the stress on them, and us, and allows us to give them the BEST care possible. This also costs a bit more. Our time is valuable, as we know yours does as well. While we are capable of hosting multiple pets, we choose to focus our time and care on your families pets 1 at a time. We do require a meet and greet, and sometimes a “trial run” for certain breeds, elderly pets, or pets we will be watching for over 2 days. In most circumstances this is NOT required, but we do want to meet those who are known to have separation anxiety, barking issues, food aggression or aggression in general, have high energy needs, special diets and medications and any pet that doesn’t do well with strangers. Day care pets during the week do need to be fairly well mannered, and not have barking and/or major anxiety issues. Drop off before 8:00am and Pick-Ups after 8:00pm will be charged an additional $10 per hour. Pets not picked up within 15 minutes of the scheduled pick up window will be charged an additional $20/hr. I currently work full time remote, so will have plenty of time to play and care for your pets! We have a regular schedule of play time, including walking or outdoor time every 2-4 hours for 15-30 minutes. We have a fully fenced backyard, and ALWAYS leash ALL pets when outside our yard. We have had several “runners”, corgis and cats that want to bolt for the first sign of freedom… or squirrels/birds etc. We take great caution to make sure your pet is safe at ALL times.

“As always, Rhea was absolutely incredible with our Clover! Leaving for a week or more is so hard knowing your pet has to stay behind but the assurance is someone as caring and attentive as Rhea makes it a lot easier. Not only does our cat have her food, water and litter taken care of, she gets plenty of love!”

About: I have had many pets since I was just 4 years old! My life has revolved around my pets since I was young, and have always been a big responsibility in my daily life. I can’t imagine my life without pets which is why even while having my own pets, I deeply love to care for others pets as well, and ensure happiness and health in their lives! I currently have 5 pets to care for, so of course everyday I am making sure to keep up with them and their needs! I am looking to work with pets as a full time job so I am hoping to be completely involved in pet care for my own, and of course others pets! Working in other people’s home I will ensure your pets are deeply cared for and looked after by making sure to follow all instructions, pay attention to each pet on a personal level and treat them as if they are my own pet!

About: With between three and four years of hands-on experience training dogs under the guidance of various professional trainers, I've developed a well-rounded approach that blends multiple techniques into my own daily structure and curriculum. This foundation in training allows me to offer more than just exercise—I provide mentally enriching experiences for the dogs in my care. In addition to training services, I offer both solo and small group hikes (up to four dogs), ensuring each dog gets personalized attention, socialization, and the physical activity they need to thrive Your dog’s well-being is my number one priority, and that extends to every part of their experience—from training and transport to time on the trail. I understand that every dog (and owner) has unique needs, so I strive to be as flexible as possible with scheduling. Whether you need regular weekly hikes or occasional help, I’m happy to work with your availability to make sure your dog gets the care, structure, and attention they deserve. My vehicle is equipped with three crash-tested crates, each securely strapped down to ensure stability and protection on the road. For dogs who prefer to ride as passengers, I also provide a dog seat belt option for a safe and comfortable journey. I keep spare leashes and muzzles in the car at all times to be prepared for any situation, ensuring every dog is transported with the highest level of care and responsibility.

“Ashley is super professional and Ranger loves her week day visits ! We are fortunate to have such quality care.”

About: Who's a good dog? All of them. My step-dog is the love of my life, and I'm known as someone who talks to animals more than humans at a party. I've sat for a variety of dogs. I have additional experience with: Cats, fish, rodents, horses, chickens, other birds, reptiles, and more. As a former field biologist, I handled a wide variety of animals and completed Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) training. I'm open to caring for almost any critter. Send me a message so we can discuss what your critter needs. I'm currently booked for home sitting and have other employment obligations through August. My schedule opens up in the fall, and I'll update my availability and radius then. Now through early September, I'm only available for walks and check-ins within 10 miles of Alfred. I am currently not taking client's pets into my own home. I am open to a variety of conditions for home visits/walks/play dates/check-ins. Just send me a message so we can discuss your set up and what your critter needs.

About: I will love your pets as if they are my own! I also am comfortable with reptile and small animal care. Having a dog of my own i know all the best adventure spots surrounding Sanford. I will work hard to make sure you and your pet are comfortable with me. I am happy to do meet and greets to better get to know each other. I am very flexible so don't be afraid to ask anything about scheduling or special needs. I look forward to meeting you and your best friend! I am currently available during the week for check-ins and walks. I will consider home stays depending on the circumstances. I do have flexibility around my full-time commitments. Safety and trust is of the utmost importance to me. When I am away from my pets I look forward to regular updates and pictures to make sure everything is going smoothly and I would provide the same level of care for my clients.

“Faith was absolutely wonderful to work with. She communicated well, was friendly and did a fantastic job. I highly recommend her for anyone's pet needs! Thank you again!”

About: I've had animals my whole life. I have house sat my friends and family's pets for years while they go on vacation. In my spare time I work with the animals at the Animal Refuge League both dogs and cats. They have provided different types of training for both cat and canine care. I work from home so I am able to house sit and still continue working. This allows me to be with youe pets as often as possible during your time away. I do not care for pets in my home since I have a cat and a dog myself. (They get watched by my roommate while I'm away)

About: I recently had to say goodbye to my 8 year old black lab due to cancer. I am looking to spend some time helping others with their pet care. As a pet owner I understand how stressful time away can be due to missing your animal. Let me make your work day, work trip or vacation a little easier. I work full-time from home so I have flexibility to pet sit in your home, be available for walks or potty breaks, etc. During my free weekends I am available to stay with your pet. I am able to care for your pets in your home to make them feel safe and comfortable. This helps to avoid transportation or any settling in period.

“Kaden visited my pup two times over the course of a weekend and kept me in the loop with pictures and frequent updates! We were very happy with our experience! Thanks again!”

About: My family has owned dogs my whole life, and I got my own puppy last summer! I have firsthand experience caring for dogs. I will take your dog out for walks, runs, and play with them. Knowing their favorite activities will help me to make sure they have the best time when I'm able to be with them! I am full of energy and love to share that with dogs. I have experience around Guiding Eyes dogs in training at college, and have learned some basic training skills with my own puppy as well. I have almost completely open availability, and am flexible about time! I am always open to learning new things about taking care of dogs. If your dog has any special accommodations required I am happy to work with you to provide the best care possible.

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life—from dogs and cats to farm animals—so understanding animal body language comes naturally to me. I grew up with the philosophy that “the critters eat before you do,” and I’ve carried that care-first mindset into everything I do. I’ve personally trained animals of all sizes, from horses to hamsters, using a gentle but confident approach. While I’m not currently a pet parent or certified trainer, I have years of hands-on experience and a deep respect for every animal I meet. I’m excited to care for your pet like they’re my own! During the school year, I’m available for walks and drop-ins around my kids’ school schedule. In the summer, when my kids are with their other parent, my schedule opens up completely—making me available for walks, drop-ins, overnights, and extended care. While I’m not able to offer boarding at the moment due to my living situation, I treat every pet in my care with the same attention and respect I give my own children—they’re your baby, after all! I’m happy to follow your exact schedule and routines, or take a more flexible, intuitive approach based on your pet’s body language and needs. With years of experience, I adjust my care to match each pet’s personality and comfort level as well as parent’s preferences.
