I am active duty military. I have time throughout the day to take dogs out or feed them when needed. Free Friday through Sunday as well About an acre of land for dogs to roam around on, unfenced. I have owned and cared for many pets from all walks of life and I would be honored if you chose me to care for your babies. I have an abundance of time to dedicate to caring for your pets. I’m a full time stay at home mom who has a big heart and a lot of love to give. When your pet is with me they will get their basic needs taken care of plus a lot of play time and love. When you leave your pet in my care just know they will be treated like family. Thank you for your time and consideration. I'm currently a stay at home mom of two children and I have plenty of time and energy to dedicate to your fur family members. I am not currently taking pets with in my home because we are doing some home renovation projects, however when caring for your pets within your home I will do my best to keep up with their normal day to day routines, provide a safe friendly experience for them, and give them plenty of love and attention
“This was our first time using the Rover app and Jennifer made the experience great! She did such an awesome job with our boys and they absolutely loved her! She will definitely be our go to in the future. Thanks again Jennifer!”

About: I've had pets for as long as I can remember and I'm that person that will go out of my way to make sure an animal is happy and content. Family, friends and neighbors fully entrust me with the care and transport of their pets and can rest their minds because they know their pet is in good hands. I send texts, pics and any other updates of how their beloved furry family member is doing while they're away. One time I was watching my friend's senior cat while she was away. We lived in very rural Alaska at the time where the nearest vet was a 3 hour drive. He was fine for the first couple of days, then out of nowhere he became very lethargic. Low energy and wasn't eating. I noticed a rather large, soft lump on his head between his ears which I thought to be an abscess. I reached into my background as a medical assistant and decided to drain the fluid. Once I did, he jumped back to his old self... purrring, playing, eating. Yes, I know taking him to the vet is the best option, but sometimes you do what needs to be done. While I love both cats and dogs and am willing to care for both, the dog would have to be the right fit. Meaning, due to my injury, I'm not able to go on runs like I used to or long walks. I am currently recovering from an on the job injury, so my schedule is very flexible. I am available most any time aside from my physical therapy appointments once a week. Don't let my injury deter you. I am strong, mobile and more than capable of most activities minus running or long walks. I prefer taking care of pets in the comfort of their home. I am both dependable and reliable as a house/pet sitter or drop in.
About: Experienced with pets of all ages and species from reptiles and rodents to cats and dogs. Growing up around diverse animals built my confidence, patience, and ability to handle different temperaments. I provide reliable, attentive care and treat every pet like my own. I wake up at 6:30am and go to the gym until 8:40am and then I make breakfast around 9am and feed my cats and take out their litter boxes and make sure their waters full. Then I make lunch at 11:30am-12:00pm and go on a walk sometimes after. Around 5-6pm I make dinner for me and my cats then I usually watch tv after. I am currently job searching so I am pretty free throughout my day. I study almost all day for classes from home which my cats love and I’m very flexible and can move around certain time scales! I care for my own 2 cats at my house. I change their litter boxes everyday and feed them at 9am and at 5pm whenever I eat breakfast and dinner, and they have a running water bowl that I clean weekly! I have an all pet friendly, 2-story home with a fenced in backyard and a calm neighborhood to walk around in. I can assure that I would treat, care, and love for your pets as my own!
“Haley was excellent! She jumped in later in the week when I needed her, took a few great pictures of my babies for me, and made sure they were doing good! Polite, responsible, and trustworthy!”

About: I’ve always loved dogs more than people—and caring for them truly makes me happy 🤍 I’m a night shift nurse working three days a week and my finance is home while I’m at work, which means I have plenty of flexibility and dedicated time to give your dog the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. I have a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd who is friendly, well-socialized, and loves making new dog friends. If your pup enjoys company, they’ll have a built-in adventure buddy! I’m very outdoorsy and love keeping dogs active and engaged. Whether your dog needs a quick walk or a full-on adventure, I tailor each visit to their energy level and personality. What You Can Expect: • Reliable, responsible care (healthcare background) • Lots of exercise + outdoor time • Photo and update messages • A safe, calm, and loving environment I walk my dog everyday and go on hikes multiple times a week. I work 3 nights/ week and let him out a few times a day. I’m very accommodating with my schedule! My fiance is also home the nights I work so your fur babies will rarely be left alone. I have a lot of respect and love for dogs, I accommodate my schedule based on their needs. My fiance is home when I work so it’s rare dogs in my care are left unattended.
“Mia has been superior for us. Not only did she take an hour to meet and greet with us, she leaves great notes, is prompt, helped us in a pinch on late notice, and puts up with our two puppies antics. Would recommend Mia for any dog sitting. She impressed us with her knowledge of dogs and puppies.”

About: I’ve loved helping take care of my friends & neighbors dogs so much the past couple years I’m finally getting my own and want to spend time with yours! I am taking some time off this summer and so I have quite a bit of free time. I am a travel nurse who loves hiking, camping, paddleboarding, and any and all adventures! I am getting my first puppy this summer and figured the more I can hang out with dogs and make some other doggie friends the better! I unfortunately cannot board dogs in my own home due to my living situation, but am happy to drop by for walks/potty breaks, house sit, or even pick up your dog for a day of adventures!
“Samantha was awesome. She was the only human interaction my animals (dog and cat) had for the week I was out of town. She took great care of them and really spent time to make sure they were good and that they got plenty of attention. Lots of pictures and detailed updates!”

About: I’m an adoptive dog mom of an almost 12 year pit mix. I’ve fostered many dogs though the years. I’ve taken care of farm animals, family and friends pets, and enjoy animals so much. I currently have 11 chickens along with my furry baby boy, Dozer. I was in the medical field for over 7 years and enjoyed the therapy aspect of animal connection with my patients! It is truly amazing the peace an animal can bring to a weary heart and I’m so appreciative for the furry beings that enrich our daily lives. I’m a military spouse and have never met an animal I didn’t like. Even took care of a squirrel for a short period of time. I have open availability, currently. Looking to fill my time with wiggly butts and happy faces! I have a flexible schedule and reliable transportation for work. I live on over an acre that is heavily wooded around the perimeter. My dog receives twice daily sprinting and ball catching episodes outside, where he is allowed to play until he is tired.
“Fantastic pet sitter. Highly recommend for any pet owner in need. Deliberate with care and is able was able to assist with medication as needed for my dog Fenrir. Will request services again.”

About: I have been pet sitting and assisting people with exercising their furry (and scaly) friends for over a decade to include volunteering at various animal shelters. I have experience caring for felines and canines ranging from days old rescues, spirited pets who are a few months old, to animals with quite a few years of life experience. For the happiness and wellness of your pet: If they have any special mental or physical accommodations, I just ask to know ahead of time. I have significant experience with pets that have both anxiety and depression, among a number of other diagnosis and general fears. Knowing your pet's needs (even if they just have allergies) before hand prevents us from getting into any triggering environments. I typically work full-time during the week, but I am always ecstatic to get to know and hang out with your furry family members on the weekends and evenings. My pet friendly home has two dogs, one senior and one puppy to keep your pets company. Pets are allowed on the living room couches unless otherwise requested by the owner. The backyard is unfenced, but there are multiple leads in the ground to keep curious minds nearby.

About: I am active duty military, live in an 3600 SQFT home, and have 2 cats of my own. I was raised around animals my entire life and have taken care of many of them for friends and family. I will show your pet as much attention as needed and will do whatever is needed to make you comfortable with me as your pets guest as well as a guest in your home. I found the passion to do this seeing how difficult it is to find someone that is able to watch your pet when you need to leave out of town. Being military I understand that completely and I know the crucial need for this service. I have used Rover many of times when traveling and I have always been very appreciative. I work normal hours from 7am-3pm. Prior to leaving I make sure they’re good for the day, and coming home I make sure they get all the love and care they need. Respectfully. Trust and respect for animals are always a top priority, and that extends to the environment the animal is in. Whether it’s at my home, or yours, the environment will be respected.
“She was good with the dogs and kept us uodated with pictures and notes. Our old sick guy had no issues so ahe did good with meditation and shots too. We definitely plan to use her again.”

“Tanya has been amazing at watching our little man Calvin! She sends pictures to keep you updated! And plays and loves on him just as if he was her own! Thank you Tanya for always being so great!!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
