“Erin stayed with our golden retriever, Harvey, for two weekends in the past month. We’ve never used rover before and we were a little nervous, but Erin was so great with him and sent us lots of updates. She also was very thoughtful of our space! (I.e washing the sheets and towels, making the bed, running the dishwasher, leaving the space clean). Would definitely recommend!”

“Briana did a great job house sitting and taking care of my cat. He got his medication everyday and the house was extremely clean when I got back. She sent me pictures and updates every single day which I really appreciated!”

“Ashton was available for a very last minute weekend house sitting and she did an excellent job. We appreciated having someone at the house and our dog seemed very happy to have her too!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Carolyn. It’s so great to have someone take care of my fur baby and my house while I’m out of town. Can’t recommend her enough!”

“My dog was very happy with Margaret, even seemed sad when she left. Obviously they got along well! She even taught him to play fetch which he was never interested in before. I will definitely call on Margaret again.”

About: 🐾 I’ve been around dogs for as long as I can remember, and I started dog sitting for friends, family, and neighbors when I was 10. When I got my own dog at 14, I fell in love with training and taught her over 20 tricks through patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. Over the years, I’ve built strong relationships with both pets and owners, and I’ve been lucky to receive referrals from people who trust me with their dogs. I love making sure dogs are not just cared for, but genuinely happy and engaged. Whether that’s walks, playtime, enrichment games, training practice, or just giving them lots of attention and affection, I always try to match each dog’s personality and energy level. I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and energy levels, and I always want them to feel safe, loved, and relaxed while you’re away. I’m a college student currently on summer break, so I have plenty of time throughout the day for walks, drop-ins, playtime, and giving pets lots of attention. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so pet care is something I truly look forward to every day. I’m also studying Animal Science, which has made me even more passionate about animal care and behavior. I always want pets to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I pay close attention to routines, behavior, and comfort levels, and I’ll treat your pets and home with the same care and respect I would my own.
“This was the first time we used Rover, and were kind of nervous. Karina was great! Good communication, reliable, our pup was very happy when we returned home and our house was just as we’d left it. We had a great experience.”

“Gabe was communicative and kind and caring with estella, she had an unexpected upset tummy and they went above and beyond to take care of her. I hope to work with Gabe longterm.”

“We loved having Marykay housesit for our senior kitty while we went away! She is patient and kind and has a lot of experience with cats. She sent plenty of updates and photos which is great for these anxious pet parents :) When we returned, our kitty was calm and content, and the house was perfectly clean. I would definitely book with Marykay again in the future!”

“Michael was our favorite sitter of all time. He was so loving and caring of our babies. He was very thoughtful and attentive all the time. He gave us regular updates and great pics. They went on walks, had an fun car ride and did their favorite thing relaxing and sleeping on his lap. Millie our little, blind, 16 yo Dachshund can be challenging as she has anxiety and let's you know about it. Michael handled this like a pro and was very attentive in making her feel comfortable. He left our home in fantastic shape. The guest bed was remade perfectly. The home was clean and dishes put away. We would definitely recommend Michael. Do not hesitate to have him care for your loved ones. They will be in trusted hands.”

“Olga and Natalia are truly so wonderful! Our dog has pretty significant anxiety issues and they navigated them so well. They have both been very responsive with sending photos and keeping us updated.”

“Christina is wonderful! Great communication and photos of pups while we were out of town. We even came home to a shoveled driveway after a decent snowfall. Above and beyond!”

“Lilah was wonderful. We hired her for Xmas Eve and we felt 100% comfortable leaving our 7 month old puppy in her great hands. We met her about a week before our scheduled time and I immediately felt comfortable having her in our home and more important watching Remy. We talked about expectations (we just wanted her to hang out with Remy) and what we expected from her (just to hang out). Day of, she had taken him for a walk (wasn’t required) and sent me some pictures and we just touched base a couple of times to be sure SHE was okay!! Super happy with her and so thankful she was willing to watch Remy while my family gathered for Xmas Eve!”

“Sophia is a wonderful dog and house sitter. She's responsive, responsible, friendly and great at keeping owners updated on their pets. We will definitely use her services again!”

“Penny was great. She really listened during our meet and greet. The dogs (1 senior cocker spaniel and 1 middle aged active beagle) really seemed to love her. We came home to happy dogs and a well cared for house.”

“Maya took such great care of my senior dog with medical needs! My guy has pretty bad anxiety and her calm, cheerful demeanor put him right at ease! My house was in great condition when I returned and my pup was super happy. I will be booking Maya for any upcoming trips I have where she’s available!”
“Eleanor did a wonderful job taking care of my sweet Iris. She was very communicative and sent lovely pictures. The house was left in great condition. I truly appreciated her services.”

North Loop pet parents share their Rover experiences
Olga and Natalia were a great team taking care of our cat and home for two days. They were great communicators, left the house perfectly clean, and sent a steady stream of photos while we were away. Our kitty is shy, so it's a great sign that she was very friendly right away and was curious and present throughout the visit. I highly recommend this team -- one organized and communicated, while the other did the house and cat care. Many thanks.
Our doggies were lazy and calm when we came home — that’s a huge compliment for a dog sitter. Brandon is a lovely houseguest. Not even our cat had a complaint. (Brandon is one of the few visitors with whom our cat has a special relationship.) Our flight home was canceled, and Brandon rolled with the punches to stay an extra day. Whew! His flexibility made a stressful travel situation a bit less stressful. Thank you, Brandon!

This was my first time using Rover and I was nervous at the thought of leaving my dog with someone he/I didn’t know but McKenna was the BEST person I could have booked. We did a meet n greet and from the first interaction it is clear she absolutely loves doing this. She is so personable with both animals and humans. All my worries completely went out the window! She provided updates, photos, and communication about anything that came up. My boy had a less than ideal grooming issue crop up and she offered to take him in for an appointment and did so happily! She also left my place super clean, which allowed me to soak in all the time with my dog upon my return. Definitely will be booking her again!!

Emily was an amazing care taker for my dogs. They are a little extra, like most dogs are lol. And she took good care of them and all their quirks. She communicated often, sent photos and videos and walked and cuddled them like they were her own. I recommend her for the care of your fur babies and hope to have her again in my home to stay with Otis and Myla 🐶❤️
