If you know anything about a dachshund, they are loving, needy and can be barky and particular about new friends. We had previously never left our dogs with anyone other than family, but needed to find a sitter while we were away for our wedding for a week with family. Penny blew it out of the park from the moment we did our meet and greet. She has such a warm and calm presence that our dogs instantly became comfortable around (which is no small feat when you’re meeting a dachshund!). She gave us twice daily updates while we were away with plenty of pictures that we were so happy to see. It was clear through her messages that our pups were getting plenty of love and engagement. We were quite worried about our finicky pups and Penny eased those worries and went above and beyond. Our doggies were lazy and calm when we came home — that’s a huge compliment for a dog sitter. Brandon is a lovely houseguest. Not even our cat had a complaint. (Brandon is one of the few visitors with whom our cat has a special relationship.) Our flight home was canceled, and Brandon rolled with the punches to stay an extra day. Whew! His flexibility made a stressful travel situation a bit less stressful. Thank you, Brandon!
This was my first time using Rover and I was nervous at the thought of leaving my dog with someone he/I didn’t know but McKenna was the BEST person I could have booked. We did a meet n greet and from the first interaction it is clear she absolutely loves doing this. She is so personable with both animals and humans. All my worries completely went out the window! She provided updates, photos, and communication about anything that came up. My boy had a less than ideal grooming issue crop up and she offered to take him in for an appointment and did so happily! She also left my place super clean, which allowed me to soak in all the time with my dog upon my return. Definitely will be booking her again!!
