I make sure pets are fed on schedule, get plenty of exercise, attention, and playtime, and feel comfortable while their owners are away. I have experience with dogs of all sizes. I have two large-breed dogs at home, so I’m comfortable handling bigger, high-energy dogs, and I have also frequently dog sat for smaller-breed dogs with different temperaments and care needs. About: I have been around dogs my whole life and have had lots of experience with walking dogs of all shapes and sizes! I enjoy going for walks with dogs. I’m a high school teacher on my summer break, so I am available almost everyday at all times of day, especially mornings and mid afternoon around 3 or 4pm I love to take dogs on walks in different areas! About: From family pets, growing up on a farm, pet sitting in college, to multiple years taking care of animal ambassadors as a naturalist, I've been working with and caring for critters of all sorts for nearly as long as I can remember! For critters in the pet category, I have been caring for indoor cats since 2018, from kittens to seniors and every stage in between, including administering medications. My family has had medium/large dogs (rottweilers, labs, and border collie and boxer mixes) my whole life but I have also pet sat for smaller breeds like Boston terriers and cavalier king Charles spaniels. My time as a naturalist gave me experience working with not only varied species, but varied personalities. From grumpy skunks to mischievous snakes and dramatic birds, I have extensive experience across the gambit. It also provided experience with very specific care instructions and detailed documentation. I like to provide pet parents with a thorough summary of my time with their pet so they don't have to worry while they're away. My schedule varies week to week from periods of no availability to periods of open availability, I will make sure to keep things updated so you know what to expect! In fall of 2025, I finished my 2,200+ mile thru hike of the Appalachian Trail. What does that mean for pet care? I LOVE to walk and do so whenever I get the chance! About: I don't actually call myself that, that's what my friends say I am. I've literally never met a dog I didn't get on famously with. I respect the fact that they are individuals with their own needs. I don't mean to sound too self assured with the title, but I earned it from friends. Whether it's running on the Lake Michigan shore or just finding a nice sunny spot to sit for a while, your pup is going to have a fulfilling day. I have huge flexibility so no worries! A last minute trip or planned weeks in advance, we can work something out. I'm here for you! Even same day! I strive for communication as much as possible between animal and human. If they're not feeling like socializing, I don't force anything. Everyone has different needs. My experience in a dog daycare really helped me read and understand dog body language to head off any issues that may arise when you're watching 12 dogs.
