“My Labrador Gus is by my side everyday. So, leaving him with someone else for a week was difficult. Carrie was absolutely great, alleviated all my concerns and sent daily pictures to show how Gus was doing. When I picked him up, I knew Gus was in good hands as he didn’t race to leave. Instead, he greeted me and then just hung out on the porch. I highly recommend Carrie if you are looking for someone to care for your pet.”

“Shatane and her family were absolutely amazing with my two dogs. They sent great updates of how they were doing and amazing pictures and videos. Have both my dogs plenty of exercise outside in the backyard and treated them as if they were their own. It made a week of travel less stressful to know my two were taken care of so well. Highly recommend.”

“Highly recommend!! This was our first time boarding our dog, Ellie, with someone we didn’t know. We arranged a meet and greet with Mike and his dogs and knew instantly that Ellie would be treated like one of their own. We received many photos of Ellie during her stay, she had a great time and we will be rebooking! ?”

“Jen and her family took excellent care of our dog while he was staying with them. She took him for walks, played frisbee and let him run with her dog all day long. Our lab loved it there! They were very friendly, sent lots of pictures and were easy to coordinate pick up and drop off with. We are so grateful to have found her and will definitely be boarding our dog with her again. She was wonderful!”

I know every pet is unique, so I take the time to learn their routines, provide enrichment and affection, and keep owners updated with photos and detailed visit reports. My goal is for you to have complete peace of mind while you’re away. Pet care is currently one of my main priorities, which allows me to offer a flexible schedule and provide pets with the time and attention they deserve. I’m available for morning, afternoon, and evening visits, as well as weekends and many holidays. Whether your pet needs a quick potty break, medication, playtime, or companionship, I strive to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I communicate promptly and provide updates and photos after every visit so you always know how your pet is doing. Caring for animals is more than just a job to me—it’s something I’m truly passionate about. I have over 20 years of experience in healthcare, am a licensed Massachusetts Community Health Worker, and volunteer and foster with the MSPCA of Cape Cod and It’s All About the Animals, Rochester where I regularly care for and foster cats of all ages, including those requiring medications and special medical care. I understand how important it is to earn your trust, so I carefully follow every instruction regarding feeding, medications, walks, litter boxes, and household routines. I treat every pet as if they were my own, ensure doors and gates remain secure, and always provide detailed updates with photos so you can feel confident your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - North Dartmouth
Savanna took care of our 2 frenchies over memorial day weekend! It was our first time leaving them with a sitter so we were naturally nervous. She was very communicative and attentive to their needs which put us fully at ease! She had no problem dealing with their quirks and cleaning up after them- They can be a handful as they were rescues. We will absolutely reach out to rebook with her in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
